We have a covered cement slab in the backyard. Its about 16'x20' and one 6'x6' post has sunk about 10" this winter. We currently have the corner supported with an additional 4'x4' post. The corner posts all appear to sit on the slab. This post seems to have the supporting gravel and sand washed out from under the slab corner.
Looking to find out a 'rough' idea of building a detached workshop before getting too deep into design details, etc. Ideally would like approx. 1000 sqft with smaller upper level of maybe 750-800 sqft. with vinyl siding and asphalt shingle roof matching house, one garage door and one man door on ground level and maybe couple of windows on upper level. No interior finish required at all only to lock up with basic electrical installed preferably 200A service separate from house.. If upper level turns out to be not allowed then same specs for only lower level. Just looking to find out ballpark idea of the costs involved so can decide if it could be a feasible project at this time. Located in north surrey area. thanks!
Our guest bedroom closet needs to be extended lengthwise. This would involve removing a non-retaining wall at one end of the closet. On the flip side of the bedroom closet is a small linen closet. It is this linen closet that would be opened up to extend the length of the bedroom closet. That would require removal of the bifold door on the linen closet and replacing it with a solid wall.

We recently bought a coach house in Clayton area in Surrey. The problem is Garage, length wise is short that it barely fits a car. The reason is the stairs of the coach house on top of the garage has taken space from the garage. We would like a skilled contractor to come and have a look and provide us with so, union options and the budget.
I would like to convert the second half of my tandem garage into an office space with hardwood floor. I want to raise the floor about a foot off the ground so that both the entry into the house and exit out the backyard would be level with the office. I will then need a new exit into the garage from the office. My rough estimate of the space would be around 200 square feet. It does not need nor it is approved for electrical or heating. The only thing I may need is to find a light switch that will control the front of the the garage and the back of the garage separately. If you have more questions, please contact me for more information.

Hi
This is what we need
1- the front patio is sinking, we want your opinion about best option.
2- the front door needs to be replaced. we need a fiberglass door.
3- painting the house, see the attached house plan if that helps. Basically, we need to paint the whole house except bedroom 1 and 2 upstairs. The ceiling in the living room has some staining from water leak, need to paint it.
4- 2 flights of stairs at the back need to be redone.
5- the door leading to these stairs: we need a window in it, either change the whole door vs making a hole and fit glass.
5- some melted siding at the back of the house, see the pictures
6- replace the fence. It is 100 feet job.
7- And finally we need to replace the whole carpet in the upper floor.
Regards,
Mudher
Prior to moving into this home that we have purchased our object is as follows:
1) Enlarge some rooms. (This will involve removing and disposing of certain non-load-bearing walls, plus realigning one small wall and then building approximately 20' of new walls). Tested - Asbestos Free. (Report can be supplied).
2) Remove the cove portion of the ceiling in the present 10'x12' dining room so that it matches the ceiling level of the present adjacent living room when the area is opened up.
3) Remove & dispose of present one piece bath enclosure & then rebuild as a walk-in shower in the main bathroom.
4) Build a new shower (in the powder room after it is enlarged).
4) Remove a window in the East Wall & enlarge the opening. Supply & install a 70" sliding Patio Door Set in place of the window
5) Supply & install new pot lights & electrical switches & receptacles.

We are looking to renew and update our 2-storey 1960s home. The main areas that we'd like to change are:
Kitchen: 12x8'and 14x13' connected dining room
New cabinets, counters, and new floors. There is currently a wall that divides the kitchen from the living room. We'd like to remove this wall and add an island in its place.
