Hi. I have a special needs boy who has a therapy indoor platform swing that is hanging from an eye bolt that is connected to the rafter. What's happening is, when he swings in a certain direction it pops, metal in metal. I have tried everything to make it quiet my nothing is working. I need something that will allow the swing to move back to front and side to side without making noise. Can you please, please help me with this. My son is autistic and the swing helps him but the noise really sets him off and causes him to react aggressively as he is also non verbal. I have a new swing on it's way with all the hardware so the height can be adjusted and a swivel so it could turn in a circle but don't know what to use so it can move in the directions I have noted and I have no idea how to mount it to the rafter without it falling. I am desperate. I have the I bolt and link that is attached to the swing, wrapped up in piping telethon tape for now. Please take a look at the photos. Please get back to me asap. Thanks
Rob
I would imagine this would be a small and easy job if you have all the right tools. I am looking to have a baby gate installed at the top of the stairs in my house. Since I have metal railing on one side and wall on the other, wood will need to be sized and attached to the metal in order to install the gate. A few peices of wood may be needed to get the right installation, because I may need to install wood onto the wall just to get an even surface. After we are able to attach wood to either side then it would just be a simple hardware installation from there, which would require a drill. I would be open to someone coming out to look at the place of installation and give me an accurate quote as long as it would be free of charge(for the quote). I would prefer to find someone who has experiance with these type of things, but so far I haven't found anything out there. HELP. I need to keep my baby safe from the stairs.
Looking to have this Installed in our Backyard.
Here is the Toysrus Linkclick here is the install instructions (pdf) for the playclick here
I need a part of the wall (1 m. Long) in my kitchen cut to the countertop hight. The other, bathroom wall, about 2 meters long needs to be moved 0.5 meters to make the bathroom wider. There is no plumbing, electric or tile on the wall. I need both walls to be prepared for painting.
My kitchen does not have a dishwasher but is plumbed for it. The kitchen cabinet would need to be removed to install the dishwasher and then when the dishwasher is installed the cabinet area would need to be finished so that it looks like the rest of the cabinets again. I would like to get a quote and am in North Surrey.
My condo is only 830 sq. ft. with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It's small for 5 people living in it and we already ran out of storage. My fireplace in the living room has an awkward design taking too much space in the already small area. I want to replace my carpet flooring with laminate all throughout; and the kitchen part with big tiles. I want to encase my fireplace with a customized cabinet that can also provide me with more storage. I also want undermount sink and granite countertop and new backsplash.
Our dryer has been vented under the crawl space and is plugged (too many 90 degree turns); all dryer repairmen recommended venting the air to the closest wall, on the ouside of the house. We need someone to drill the hole and install the vent for porper air flow. The house is stucco, 28 years old in South Surrey.

A corner shower stall unit, glass door and two glass walls, needs to be removed and replaced with a similar stall. The current problem is that water is leaking past the glass/plastic frame and is beyond re-calking. Part of the gyprock wall on one side will also have to be repalced. The plumbing is not a problem.
The leak originates from the initial installation which was not done correctly.
Hi,

1. Replacement of drywall (60cm from bottom) in my shower booth due to moisture.
2. 40 gallon hot water tank replacement (gas)
3. Garburator installation
4. New carpet(with decent cushion and water proof underlay) / or equivalent quality of laminate (~ 1,000 sf)
Please indicate which item can be done at what cost. I will provide picture for item #1 & 2 for better estimated if needed.
1. I have 4-6 decorative wall shelves with brackets to hang.
2. I have 4 existing wall shelves that need 4 brackets added.
3. I have a draft door stopper that needs fitting (small handsaw required)
I have all the material but I need someone to do the job.
Our last guy didn’t finished the job.
We need to finish some drywall in a small basement cubby area, and then install one long kitchen counter with a sink and cupboards below, for renting international students to use. Nothing too fancy, but durable, and economical. Bathroom is already on opposite side of wall so access to plumbing is there. Concrete floor. Would like an idea of most economical way to complete this project.
We are seeking price estimate for the below job scope:
- Fix the broken door jamb
- Replace/install/paint one door trim
- Paint the exterior door
- Replace one interior slab door (with new door knob and hinges)
- Paint the interior door
- Replace one bifold closet door hardware
- Paint the closet with the boot marks
- Disposal of the old/damaged door, etc.
30 year old house needs some TLC to get it ready to show.
Kitchen lino needs to be replaced.
Countertop chips on edge fixed or countertops replaced.
Kitchen backsplash or edging.
Stove Vent - the old one should be replaced with a shiny new one.
Oak railings - need chips on edges fixed.
Walls - chips on the edges filled and touch up paint.
Utility room painting, new knobs put back on the cupboards.
Door - one door replaced, one door painted.
Front door - chipped edges smoothed.
Leaky faucet in the bathroom fixed.
Brown stain on one edge of sink taps fixed, or sink replaced.
As you can see, it's just room-by-room fixing up the odds and ends and perhaps suggesting what can't be economically fixed and should be replaced. It's a tough one to try and estimate time and budget, so perhaps an hourly rate could be agreed upon.
Thanks!
We are a 24 unit townhouse complex in Surrey which was built in 1993. Some of the trim and fascia boards need replacement. We know of some boards that need replacing but would like a contractor to do a walk around and recommend any additional boards that would need to be done. We would appreciate the work taking place in early September.
