My kitchen faucet is leaky. It is a pull out faucet with a hose and the leak is where the shower head is attached to the hose. It seems that the washer is not working well. I replaced the washer and it didn't fix it.
I guess I should either get it fixed or completely replaced.
The brand seems to be AMFAG.
I'm looking for a general Handyman to do what should be pretty quick and easy job. Given my schedule, I'd prefer to have a skilled individual who could complete the tasks quicker and better than I could. Tasks are as follows:
Install 6 sets of horizonal blinds
Remove existing shelving from 3 closets, and fix any damages resulting from the removal.
Install 3 sets of closet doors, 2 of which are mirror sliding doors and 1 is a set of bifold doors.
As an option, I'm looking to get my baseboards painted (approximately 660 ft). However, this is not an immediate need.
Should you need any further details, please let me know.

We are a 5 unit townhouse complex in Kitsilano, Vancouver. We have a short list of jobs to be done around the bldg.
Exterior door needs refitting and drywall replaced around it.
An entrance roof needs to be caulked as water is getting in around the flashing.
Waterproof membrane needs to be applied between stucco and concrete path. Appx 50 feet in length.
Every year we have a list of small jobs; would ideally like to be able to have someone available that we can call and whom we like and trust to do a good job. Need to be insured and have WCB. BBB would be nice.
I have a few jobs around the home that requires an experience handyman:
- Attach screen to exterior dryer vent screen
- Fix wooden fence door where a few screws have come loose
- Fascia maintenance (e.g., clean, fill gaps, prime, paint)
- Remove satellite dish from side of home
- Fix rainspout joint that is leaking,
We live in an old house (65 years) and most of the interior doors need replacing, but we struggle with crooked sloping walls and lath and plaster etc. We need someone to come in and take a look and then give us an estimate on replacing them and installing them. Some of the frames will need sanding down and replacing and some doors will require re-sizing from regular stock etc. We are happy to purchase the doors from a "big box" store but need someone to install and make sure they open and close smoothly. There are approximately 10 doors that need doing.
My tenant in my townhouse on Quebec St. in Vancouver, literally had a kitchen cupboard fall off the wall as she was emptying the dishwasher below it. The cupboard was not installed correctly as there were 6 screws thought the back only with no anchors at all and none of the screws went into studs. This is a Bosa building built in 2004 so the warranty has expired. The cupboard is fine. It needs to be put back on the wall in the corner of the kitchen and be anchored correctly.
I would need the following supplied & installed by this Friday if possible:
- 42"x32" 5mm glass mirror for 1st wshrm
- 24"x38" 5mm glass mirror for nd washrm
- 40"x38" 5mm glass mirror for 3rd washrm
- 6 drop locks (single window frames)
- 75 feet of weather stripping installed in different windows
- replace a cracked 28"x46" 3mm clear glass window
- replace a cracked 36"x36" 3mm clear glass window
- install 8 sets of window rollers in different windows in the house because some are almost falling out of the frame when you slid them open
I'm selling a house for an elderly lady in poor health. She has therefore not been able to take care of the house in years, so it needs a good once-over before being listed (prune back overgrown yard, minor landscaping, dump any left-over trash or furniture, move-out clean, trim back trees, other odd jobs, minor home repairs, tear down and dump part of an old porch, etc...). Would require a couple people for a week, or several people for a couple days.
I am looking for a contractor to put Decorative Panels on my walls. Can you give me an idea how much do you charge per 100 s/ft and do you have any sample work done?

Bathroom to be sanded and painted, hallways to be painted, 3 stairs to be carpeted, laminate to be finished in closet, transitions installed, baseboards to be completed, one electrical bathroom socket to be installed, one light fixture to be installed, new front door and closet doors to be installed, The townhouse is 2 bedroom, 1.5 baths, 1980 built and empty. I have most of the materials needed for the projects so basically looking for a efficient handyman to do my to do list as I need this done asap.
(1) Front stairs need repair or replacement. There are 9 steps, rising 2.0 m and traversing 2.5 m, with a railing.
(2) Also, the upper balcony (split in two by a privacy wall between two units) may need repair or rebuilding. Altogether, it measures 3.9m wide by 2.4m out from the door.
It would be useful to have an estimate for these, but then follow up with an assessment of whether full replacement is necessary in each case.
Also, if you could separate the price of painting, we might be willing to paint it ourselves.
My project includes the following...
- removing popcorn stucco (not painted) from all ceilings and prepping for
paint as required.
- removal of interior door jamb and small portion of wall to increase opening size from
2'-6 wide to approx. 4'-0 wide and drywalling as required.
- relocating circuit breaker panel approx 2'-0 from current location and repairing drywall
as required.
The property is a 7 years old high rise concrete condo appox. 770 sq. ft. and is currently empty, located in Vancouver and all work would need to be completed before month end (October / 09). At this time I am looking for an online estimate only.
Thank You
We have a number of small handyman tasks required in our Vancouver condo:

2. Hang 8-10 paintings on walls.
3. Apply heat-blocking film to two windows (film already purchased).
4. Install shower curtain rod (needs to be purchased)
5. Install small closet rod (needs to be purchased)
I have an 8 year old 2BR + 2Bath condominium in Yaletown (874 sqft). We have lived in it for 7 years and have had two small dogs. There are numerous chew marks on drywall corners, baseboards (simple MDF white baseboards), and on one window sill as well as the odd wear and tear scratch, or puncture on the drywall. What I would like is to replace the MDF baseboards where applicable, patch up the walls to be ready for painting and fill in the window sill.
