I am a new owner of an 850sq ft appartment with a small kitchen that would be around 25 years old. Original everything. I first need to know of the small separating wall can be removed to open the space up and create an eating bar type area. Then after that is done (including relocating the plumbing from the upstairs appartment and a relocating a few electrical sockets) to completely redue all the cabinets counter tops and appliances. Also if able to shrink the vent boxing. Originally done 12" x12". When the vent tubing is only 6" in diameter. Back wall kitchen is 13 ft long and holds the fridge, stove and microwave. While the now converted front half wall (eating bar) it 6.5 ft and holds the sink and dishwasher.
Basement bathroom (approx. Dimensions 6' x 7') :
Old bathroom fixtures removed (ie all drainage is in place and should be usable),
New walls installed on 2 sides, one wall to abut outside concrete wall (one existing wall is ok) , enclose/finish ceiling. Finish and paint all surfaces. (contractor to provide paint)
Install linoleum floor on top of existing concrete floor,
Install new shower (pre-manufactured kit provided),
Install new toilet,
Install a new sink/vanity combo (28in.W x 19in.D x 36in.H)
Purchase and install two pot lights and
Install one new over vanity wall mount light (provided)
Install mirror over vanity
Spare basement bedroom (approx dimensions 9' x 15'):
Remove partial existing interior wall
Finish one wall (wall exists but needs gyp, finishing)
Paint all walls (contractor to provide paint)
Install two standard passage doors with frames.
Install carpet and underlay (same dimensions as room)
Basement recreation room (approx dimensions 17' x 13'):
Install carpet and underlay (same dimensions as room)
Paint 3 of 4 walls (contractor to provide paint)
Main floor kitchen (approx dimensions 157 sq ft.):
Purchase and install new linoleum
Fix small holes in kitchen ceiling, finish and paint ceiling
Remove two counter tops and install new tops (already purchased)
Remove panel siding (dimensions 12' x 8' ), finish wall where removed and paint (contractor to provide paint)
Basement laundry room (approx 123 sq. Ft.)

Hi,
I am taking over a cafe space and will need to renovate the current kitchen.
Work will most likely involve knocking out part of a small wall area and possibly the counter areas, and rebuilding.
Will be best to come take a look at the space, some time in next couple of days and give me an estimate on pricing and length of time needed to complete project.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
We need the old carpet removed and two end kitchen walls about 24" deep each, a dropped ceiling and cabinetry removed from kitchen, old bathtub, toilet and vanity removed from bathroom. Installation of laminate or engineered hardwood throughout, except tile in the bathroom. Ceiling refinished throughout to smooth 70's style rough texture ceiling. We have chosen an IKEA kitchen to replace cabinetry and an IKEA bathroom vanity. We need these installed including all new plumbing installations to complete both kitchen and shower. Installation of a dishwasher in the kitchen where no previous dishwasher existed.
The kitchen is 16' x 18.5', and there is a small pantry adjoining the kitchen, approximately 3.5' x 7'. The east wall has a large window, the west wall has a small window, and the north wall has a small window and french doors leading to a patio and the backyard. The north wall has an entry door into the dining room, and and entry door into the pantry room.
As a general summary, here are the features of what we are looking for with the renovation…Please refer to the pictures for more details:
1) Concrete floor. Might require work to shore up the subfloor (there is a basement area beneath the kitchen)
2) Wall of windows on the north wall, part of which would open up to the back patio. I want the glass to be thick so it won’t make the kitchen cold and will suppress sound transfer.
3) Vaulted ceilings – this would require demolition - drywall and a re-do of lighting. Does not have to be pot lights, pendants okay. Skylight windows a possibility if can be done within budget. Due to upstairs room, ceiling might only be partially vaulted.
4) Concrete island
5) New appliances – dishwasher / stove+hood / oversized fridge / microwave I am thinking Bosche might be a good choice
6) Re-do of pantry room with proper shelving and concrete floor
7) Leave the drywall on the east and west walls, (maybe double it up to improve sound proofing?) remove large window on east wall and small window on the west wall. (permits?)
8) Remove all upper cabinets, new lower cabinets along west wall
9) The wall behind the cabinets, backsplash area can be glass tiles
10) Filtered water from the sink. Large farmhouse type of sink.
Newly purchased 700 sqft condo. Basic kitchen and bathroom renovation. No layout changes. All finishes already selected. Available Saturday and Sunday for walk throughs.

Demo existing bulkhead and reframe to allow for full height wall cabinets
New floor tile
Install IKEA cabinets (I will order and arrange for delivery)
New engineered quartz countertops, tile backsplash, microwave/range hood combo, undermount sink, faucet
Scope - bathroom
Remove and dispose of tile on tub splash & floor, shower door, tub, vanity, sink, toilet, mirror, exhaust fan
New floor tile *note: same floor tile to run from kitchen through entry way and bathroom
New acrylic tub, tile tub surround and tile wainscoting, shower fixtures, vanity, faucet, mirror, lighting, exhaust fan
Ground floor condo (strata). Kitchen (95" x 120"): open up wall(s), remove existing bulkhead, install new cabinets/counter, new h/w or vinyl flooring (throughout apartment aprox 1100 sq ft); bathrooms: new fixtures, tiling (floors, walls). Start time flexible - I am the property owner. Located in Vancouver (west side).
A complete revamp of the condo kitchen: Replacing cabinets and countertop, appliances with intents to make an open-concept layout which would include wall demolition and structural engineer's approval for the proposed wall demolition.
Would like only contractors who offer design + build services as well to inquire.
Thank you.

We just moved into our 1 bed 1 bath. The bathroom is very small with a dated bathtub, toilet and vanity and I would like to put in a shower instead, as well as more efficient storage space.
Kitchen is 11x8, also dated. Looking to take down a wall to open it up to the dining room and put in an island as well as new flooring, refacing upper cabinets, new pull-out drawer lower cabinets and new counter top.
Looking to get ideas for upgrades and renovations as well as estimated costs.
Thanks!

Install about 70sft of new heated mat (electrical) and tiles with grout and sealer.
CEILING option -1)remove ceiling 18' x16' and dispose. Install 6-8 pock lights then board it, finish, primer and paint.
CEILING option -2)I had marked the puck light position on the raw dry wall along comes the painter and paints over light marks.
Now I have one light in the middle of the ceiling. Can you go up in the attic to find the existing prewire for the puck lights, If so can you install the puck lights. Also the tape on the ceiling was not done right because they are all cracking. How much would this be to re tape, mud, primer piece that is raw and paint. Ceiling is 18' x 16'
All the material will be provided. I would like pricing for all the items.
We currently own our home in East Vancouver. It is 18 years old and good condition.
Kitchen
This is our main kitchen and it is frequently used (we are not the take-out family). We are interested in quartz countertops and new, custom cabinets. The space is approx. 200 sq.ft. The kitchen is the same age as the house and we bought it new. We have ceramic flooring that is still in excellent condition and we don't plan to change it. We will be changing the appliances including the hood fan and sink. We are interested in convenience accessing in the cabinest (drawers, lazy Susan's, etc.) as opposed to plain cabinets.
Bathroom #1
We would like to replace vanity, toilet and repaint walls and baseboards. The tub, tiles and flooring (ceramic tiles) will remain. 35-45 sq ft.
Bathroom #2
We would like to replace vanity and toilet. We would like to convert the tub and tiles to a tiled or molded shower stall. And repaint. Flooring will remain the same. 35-45 sq ft.
We are happy to begin the process in the first quarter 2018.
