We have two projects that we need done as soon as possible. The projects are:
1. Knock down one wall and move it back about 5 feet in order to make one office space larger. This will also entail building another wall and moving a door.
2. Remove doors from a closet space and install shelving and cabinetry in the space.
We are looking for someone to both project manage and do the actual construction work.
We prefer work to take place on weekends or after 4:30pm, but we have some flexibility.
We have three areas of our office that require some construction, which will include removing some office walls, building some office walls, basic flooring, and electrical.
The approximate dimensions are:
1) 44' x 15' - involves moving the door of one office to a different wall, and building two walls to create another private office space
2) 30' x 8' - involves creating 2 larger office spaces where 3 spaces are currently located. Removing 2 walls, building 2 walls.
3) 8' x 8' - involves building/modifying counter space and upgrading electrical outlets to accommodate an industrial photocopier.
I wanted to add a second story to my rancher which sits on slab.Recently, I found out that I need underpinning to one side in order to add the addition.Would it be cheaper and better to tear down the house and start new or underpin and use the existing house which was built in 1962 and sits on slab.?
