Accel Drywall & Ceiling Repair

We bought a townhouse and the main floor ceiling had some flaws and was textured. We called up Shawn and he got as a quote fast at a very comparable rate. His guys came in and did a fantastic job. We also put in some pot lights and pendant lights. Shawn was quick to respond and very easy to work with. His guys are hard workers and got the job done fast. Great work, would highly recommend.

We contacted Accel to see if they could repair a ceiling that was poorly completed by another contractor. Shawn came in, told us what they could do, gave us their quote and a timeline to complete the job. They arrived on time, kept the disruption of our home to a minimal, completed the work on time, cleaned up to my amazement and I was more than satisfied with the work they did. We will be contacting them again to remove the textured ceilings upstairs. I would highly recommend Accel for any drywall needs. Fantastic job.

Some of the patch work was difficult but it all turned out excellent.

He even took care of a small ceiling repair that was not part of the original estimate.

Just finding contractors that answer their phones can be a challenge, this was not a problem with Shawn.

Shawn with Accel Drywall and Rennovations did a fabulous job resurfacing our main level ceiling. He was professional, prompt, and got the job done in the timeframe he originally quoted. Also there was minimal dust and cleanup to do once he was done. Overall, we are very happy with the service we received and would highly recommend him to others who are wanting to remove texture from their ceiling.

My clients were ecstatic over the work he did. He redid the ceiling which was stippled and replaced a wall made of glass bricks with a breakfast counter. Overall - a great job. I strongly recommend him.

Accel is an incredible drywall company. They are fast, honest and there is no mess, and no dust. How is that even possible? I highly recommend them.

It was a pleasure dealing with Accel Drywall. Kevin and Sean were prompt, reliable and courteous. Their work is excellent, and their rates are reasonable. They are easily reachable, return messages quickly and communicate clearly. They left the worksite neat and tidy after every visit. We highly recommend this business.

In a time of need, Kevin was very quick to reply and get his team started. I will say in the beginning the lines of communication were both impressive and brilliant. Then once the job was done, a short time later cracks were noticed, and the "texturing" made the walls very rough and noticeable. On first glance you saw the improvement, but with detailed judgement you could see were improvements could be made. Everything was paid for on the day of the bill, and things were done. When the cracks were noticed, Kevin had his partner come in and patch it up, and said that they may need to do further work, if this did not solve it, or if more occurred.

Only a few weeks later more occurred, and the request was placed for some additional work to be done, and a quote asked for. This took place in the Fall of 2015.... the text messages and emails continued for about a month, and then suddenly both Kevin and his partner stopped replying. Never coming back to fix what they promised, and also not even considering taking on the next job, not so much as saying, no we have no time.

This review is written as more of a "I am disappointed" then I did not like. What started off great, now has me looking for a new contractor to complete my home.

We do not recommend this company due to their poor communication and unprofessional manner in dealing with a complaint. They began sanding prior to having our kitchen contents covered, when we were told they weren't going to start sanding until the last day. They were to tent areas off and that wasn't done. Then they put a fan on to dry the area they mudded, which then blew all the dust around.

However, the worse part is that a worker unplugged our fridge which we was still in use, and contained frozen halibut and coho from a fishing trip. It was ruined since it was two full days before we discovered it. We have lost over $600 worth of food.

The owner of the company blamed us for having the fridge there, yet at the start of the job said "no problem" - his crew can work around it. Now we are left with a partly finished job since they will not own up to their mistake.

In addition to the fridge problem, they started the job a day later than promised, with two men and not three. This company does not follow through on what they say, or listen to the homeowner should any problem arise. How they handled our concerns were more frustrating than the actual problems, which could have been resolved.
