Alex and his crew are true professionals. I’m a contractor in the Oakville and Burlington area and we have used aldo structural on a few jobs now and couldn’t be more happy. Not only are our clients thrilled, we are too. His professionalism is bar none. We bring him into our jobs right from the beginning and go over the desired outcome then Alex and his team work diligently to provide engineered drawings for permit submission and execute the structural work in an amazingly efficient manner. Alex helped us remove all the load bearing walls on the main floor as well as the basement, he found every solution possible to make this happen and did an extremely professional job installing steel beams and steel posts with all the supporting concrete and wood work necessary! More Than impressed with his workmanship and would highly recommend to everyone I know doing a reno!

One of the most difficult decisions for a homeowner during a renovation is to select a contractor with the right skills who has recruited the right talent to complete your project. My project involved a 30’ load bearing wall removal and a new post to be relocated in the basement. My home was built in 1978, a typical 4 bedroom 2 car garage. Needless to say things like basement posts and beam sizes in the basement were undersized by today's standards. Aldo Contracting not only met my exceptions but surpassed them in all areas. These guys surpassed minimum code in all areas without the need to hold their hand throughout the construction process. I will do business with Aldo again. Aldo Contracting sets the diamond standard for construction.

We usually don’t like to refer tradespeople to friends and family because their work can be a hit or miss. But with Alex, we would not hesitate. In fact, we have already referred him.

Alex is a problem solver by nature. Where others (previous contractors) point out problems to a project to scare a home owner or justify their outrageous quote. Alex points out clear solutions with a defined timeline. My project was very challenging due to the location on a main road in uptown Toronto. Alex met with me at least 7 times answered all my questions and concerns before he even knew he would get the job. The execution of the project was done with pinpoint precision. Alex and his team at Aldo Structural work quickly and efficiently. It was a pleasure to watch them do their magic!

I really liked the work done by Aldo Structural for my load bearing wall removal. Alex was very knowledgeable about this work and provided all the details, useful suggestions, facts and explanations that were needed by us before commencing the work and was very transparent. He cooperatively worked with us to resolve some unexpected challenges occur during the work and has amicably work with the structural engineer to finalize drawings. Alex and his team showed in time and also completed the work as agreed upon and at the amount quoted for this work.

We are doing a kitchen Reno and in order to extend our kitchen we had to remove a structural wall. After reviewing the drawings from the engineer (that was referred by Alex) Alex took the time to further explain the options we had based on the engineer's drawings. After understanding each option and which would be more structurally sound we decided to replace existing LVL beam with a steel beam in order to completely remove existing wall. We had originally decided on an extended LVL beam but after further discussions decided on the steel beam instead. Knowing that this Reno was a time sensitive project Alex was able to deal with the steel manufacturer last minute and get the beam delivered without any delays.

After negotiating the price and before any work began Alex again took the time to explain every intricate detail of the work that needed to be done and how it was going to be done. He also told us exactly how much time was involved and when he would have the job completed by.

Everyday Alex's team would arrive on time and ready to work. As a 3 man crew Alex did an impeccable job with every aspect of the job. It could have been a messy job as a cement footing needed to be build in the basement after the old one was dug out. Alex took extra precautions in order to try and keep the dust level to a minimum with all the concrete sawing that took place. He was able to reduce the amount of dust and keep in just the area of work without it spreading all over like it usually does.

Alex and his team did an impeccable job on the beam and the footing and cleaned up every day after each part of the construction was completed indoor and out. He left the place immaculate once completed. Not only did Alex do a fantastic job on what he was paid do do but on the preparation part of the job when taking walls down he had found some building flaws from the builder that again with perfect knowledge was able to explain the effects of the flaws. He also went above and beyond his job and after explaining to me what I needed to do to fix it he went ahead and fixed it before completing the entire job.

Overall Alex and his team did a fantastic job and made everything look brand new and better than the builder quality. The team was efficient at what they did and they did very professionally without leaving a mess anywhere. They also took extra precautions not to destroy my existing granite floors with all the heavy machines that were used to get the job done. They also completed the job on time as they said the would.

Alex has been doing this job for a number of years and is very passionate and knowledgeable about structural engineering and the type of work he leaves for his customers.

I was absolutely, completely satisfied of the job he did and would absolutely call up on him again if I needed a similar job and definitely refer him to anyone who would need this type or similar work done.
