Stones have always been in my life, calling me to places all over the world, from the Sahara Desert to the Swiss Alps, from bottom of the Grand Canyon to the shores of Australia. I am passionate to give stone an articulated form. Finding the right stones, listening, bringing these ones home to work.
Our specialty is to consult, design, & build functional art forms for private and public venues in the medium of stone. We work collaboratively with professional clients, architects, engineers, contractors and city planners and with individuals with a personal vision or quest.
The fire confined to the fireplace was no doubt for man the first object of reverie, the symbol of repose, the invitation to repose. One can hardly conceive of a philosophy of repose that would not include a reverie before a flaming log fire.
Our products are built to last and many can be shipped fully assembled directly to your project site. The stone we use is often from the mountains and valleys around around our home on Vancouver Island, while some accent pieces featured within our commissions are from intriguing global sources.
Working from within, we birth the growth of an idea resulting from the combination of our observations and our clients responses to a completed unique “design and build†concept, which is an intimately personal portrait and reflection of the client’s soul.
