Complaint: Be aware of this company. They don t pay their subcontractors!
They begged me to work on one of their projects in Mission (tile job in a condo) about a month ago. I was very busy but I did them a favour and help them out on it. After I finished the work for them and asked for payment, they have been avoiding me and not paying me. I will be take legal actions if I don t get paid in the next few days.
Complaint: We were hired by AFR to complete a roof replacement on one of their projects. We completed the project within our scope of work without any deficiencies. We attempted to collect on an outstanding payment before going to small claims court. We were promised multiple times that the payment would be made but it was never sent. Eventually, they started ignoring our calls and emails. Our office manager was speaking with the receptionist and even heard Boyd, the owner, in the background saying "tell them I'm not here". It is now over a year later and we still haven't received the funds. This company has proven to be unprofessional and untrustworthy. I would warn any client or subcontractor against working with them.
