I contacted another concrete company from a request I made thought Facebook requesting a quote to replace my driveway. I had a reply from Jimmy Gregory the following day and he set up a meeting a my house reviewed my driveway as well he suggested to replace sidewalk that was attached to driveway and side entrance of house and part of garage pad. I had a water problem with garage door and in past it would freeze shut. Jimmy made suggestions and options to resolve my garage door issues as well as water problems in garage . He quoted my driveway and gave option pricing for part of garage pad and sidewalk as well. I was amazed how he suggested to change some grading in order to control water around my house and garage. I hired another concrete company to replace driveway ,sidewalk and part of garage pad. They showed up as booked with no deposit or advance payments and meet with me before starting in morning. When I returned from work they had pretty well all the sidewalk, part garage pad and driveway removed. I reviewed my property with Jimmy and he said he would have my place ready to pour in two days. The workers all where very helpful and polite. My sidewalk and driveway look great yet better my garage door has not been frozen shut. There was always icing problems prior to having concrete replaced on side walk and garage door area and now I have drainage as Jimmy suggested with his changes. I am very happy with another concrete company's workmanship, crew and attention to detail. It was very assuring that the owner was here working with his crew and I would highly suggest another concrete company of which I did . My friend liked my new concrete and asked who did the job. When I told her it was Jimmy from another concrete company she told me she needed a new sidewalk and read a review on trusted pro that showed a low rating. I would really like to see more contractors like another concrete company doing more as they provided for me and I felt they where more passionate with there work more so then most of other contractors I have hired over the years .Good owner and great crew! Highly suggested.
** DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR!!** Concrete pad and sidewalk were poured late October 2016 and had developed spall and cracks by next summer. No sleeve installed around natural gas line so utility company had to come and remove/replace concrete to install sleeve. Contractor did not address deficiencies and was quick with excuses. Fence was a disaster. All posts were concreted into postholes but ended up being loose. Fence is now buckled and looks like limp spaghetti. Improper length screws were used and the front section dislodged from the post during a rain storm. Initial gate had to be replaced due to substandard hinge post support. Replacement gate was built incorrectly and sagged causing gate to not close. Again, contractor did not address deficiencies and was quick with excuses. Contractor also undertook unauthorized work on neighbors fence and when neighbor refused to pay, contractor cut off the new concreted in posts at grade and left the stubs.
Contractor was difficult to do business with and did not take responsibility for poor workmanship. Everything was my fault and I was the problem during attempts to resolve deficiencies.

Your response has reminded me of a few points I neglected to mention in my review. Thank you for the invitation to share them as my review would be incomplete without.
1. You continue to claim the fence posts are loose because I have a sub-grade issue due to the fact my property is a recent in-fill. I challenge this rationale. First, as the pictures clearly demonstrate, the most problematic posts are the ones in undisturbed soil mid-yard, well away from the house. Second, at the time of your activity the house foundation backfill was five years past which would have provided ample time for the sub-grade to stabilize. Third, you reasoned the sub-grade issue only after your first reason proved wrong, that being the posts were loose because the ground was too wet and they would firm up once dry in the spring. When this did not materialize, you came up with a new reason.
If being a newer in-fill posed a risk of unstable sub-grade, it was incumbent upon you as the contractor to bring this to my attention prior to undertaking the work, not after, so that I could have had the opportunity to respond to the risk.
2. At the completion of the work, we agreed on the list of deficiencies and associated hold-back amounts. I have not paid the balance of my invoice because you did not rectify the balance of the deficiencies.
3. The Better Business Bureau did not state my complaint was unjustified. They closed the file because they were satisfied you were taking action to resolve my complaint which satisfied their process. They instructed me to pursue legal action if I was not satisfied with the outcome. Although I remain dissatisfied, I have not yet pursued the legal route. You did not make every attempt to accommodate my issues and I have not refused to resolve them. I proposed my conditions of satisfaction for resolution to which you have yet to respond, other than to shirk responsibility for the problems onto me as you continue to do in your response.
4. The issues with my neighbor’s fence are not my responsibility. I informed you that he might be interested in having his fence replaced at the same time you were doing mine. I had no further involvement other than to confirm with him after the fact that you had no agreement with him to undertake the work on his property, nor did you have his permission to encroach on his property to haul concrete across his patio to pour my pad. The fact you destroyed the unauthorized work you performed and left his property in the state you did, as the pictures show, speaks to your professional ethics and integrity.
5. I have not refused conversation or contact. On our first failed attempt to meet, you showed up on my doorstep unannounced early on a Saturday morning and were upset I wouldn’t answer the door. At my arrangement, we subsequently met to review the deficiencies and compile a list with associated hold-back amounts. You rectified some of the deficiencies and were paid accordingly. Winter turned to spring and, after not hearing from you, I initiated contact. This resulted in our second failed attempt where you made a tentative arrangement to meet at supper time and did not arrive on time. You did not contact me to confirm you were coming nor that you would be delayed. I was preparing supper when you finally arrived and, once again, you got upset I wouldn’t answer the door. You then did not respond to my proposal to meet shortly after, once I had finished my meal. I considered the ball to be in your court and you did not contact me again.
6. The responsibility I do accept in all this is that I hired the wrong contractor in Another Concrete and Contracting Company. As the pictures clearly demonstrate, the quality of your concrete and fencing workmanship are sub-standard and problematic. As such, I believe my complaint and issues are fair and justified.
At the time of selecting Another Concrete and Contracting Company to undertake the work, I wish I had of known about, and utilized, Trusted Pros resources for selection and contracting. Instead, I used the Better Business Bureau’s selection service and ended up with you. I surely know where to go in the future.
Jimmy, in conclusion, I wish to thank you for gifting me with the opportunity to learn so much. Without your expert guidance, I never would have experienced the many things to watch out for when engaging and managing a contractor.
Hello Doug. I had many attempts to resolve your issues and as you are the owner of a new infill townhouse aware of subgrade issues , fencing issues with Neigbor and grading issues . You also did not pay invoice in full and refused to conversation or contact . You had submitted this same complaint with BBB and after review from BBB your complaint and review where not justified as you have stated . I sent all correspondence, emails, text messages, pictures and work order to BBB . Our company made every attempt to accommodate your issues even as we are not responsible for most of your complaints. You refused to pay your invoice in full as well as refused to resolve your issues . In term of just under one year you have yet contacted me or paid balance of invoice . I this fair have not contacted collection agency . You have not taken any responsibility or consideration of your project or issues with Neigbor . I would still offer services to resolve your issues even with all said . Your complaint and issues have not been fair or justified as stated . This is way other sites have refused such comments or complaints. Jimmy Gregory, Owner Another Concrete Company
