Ash is a great guy. Friendly and professional. We needed everything from outlets and switches to pot lights. We also needed things moved around (furnace switch, fire alarm etc) and he was knowledgeable about code and advised us accordingly. He worked around our schedule and even ended up fixing a problem in our electrical box that a previous handyman had left (neutral wires weren't tightened and half our lights went out while I was doing some hammering nearby). Ash also responds quickly if you have questions. Overall, great service. Highly recommend.

I contracted Syed Hai (Ash Electrical System) to hook up the electrical for a new hot tub and upgrade my existing panel from 150 amp to 200 amp. On December 14, 2015, Mr. Hai upgraded the panel. During the upgrade, Mr. Hai incorrectly hooked up the breaker for the existing infrared heating panels in my living room. The heaters were originally on a 15 amp breaker with 120 volt (which they are rated for). Mr. Hai installed them on a 20 amp breaker with 220 volt. The panels began to spark loudly and a black burn mark appeared in the center of the heaters. I switched off the breaker and on December 16, 2015, Mr. Hai came back to my premises and switched the breaker to 15 amp. After Mr. Hai left, the heaters continued to spark and I again switched off the breaker. Mr. Hai returned on December 18, 2015 and changed the hook up from 220 v to 120 v. The heaters at this point are burnt out and producing a fraction of the heat before. I contacted Mr. Hai and enquired why in the upgrade of the panel he had switched the breaker from 15 amp 120 v to 20 amp 220 v. He said it was not his fault and advised that he would not replace or repair the damaged heaters. Mr. Hai stated that the heaters were not damaged as a result of putting 20 amp and 220 v through them. The heaters cost $600 each, they were purchased new and were installed 5 months ago. I will need to purchase new heaters and install them.
Well, I totally disagree with what Mr. Wai is submitted here. Yes we did the panel upgrade and hot tub hook up and when we do the panel upgrade we marked each and every circuit as per the amperage and wire size. Most important is that the panel was not even labelled properly. These heaters were not even installed by us. And before, when I started this project he complained me about the last electrician, that he did not do his job satisfactory, who had installed these heaters. And Second is when we were hooking up the circuits back to the panel Mr. Wai came and told me that his heaters are not working. We were not finished at that point, I said we are still working and then the only last circuit which was left we connect that, then Mr. Wai left to make sure the heaters are working or not and Mr. Wai came back and said yes all heaters are working fine as it was before. We finished the whole job and left, all was fine, then after couple of days the story begins and complaint came up about the same heaters.
Mr. Wai has to understand that how can he say that it's because of our fault those heaters are burnt out. When we finished our job all was working fine and now only the heaters are not working. Our job was to upgrade the panel, not responsible for appliances and devices inside the house.
Electronic devices burnt out on their own, suddenly stop working etc etc.
So how it becomes our responsibility.
We reconnect all the circuits to the panel as it was connected before to the panel.
If anything was wrong in the circuit reconnection it would have trip the breaker, heaters burnt out right away, same day. Not after 4-5 days.
May be those heaters were burnt out before, now trying to blame us.
May be the electrician who installed those heaters, screwed up the heaters as Mr.Wai was already complained to me.

We hired Ash to upgrade our electrical panel and wire our backyard to complete our renovation. It was one of the best decisions we've ever made in our 13 yrs. of being home owners! He was always very professional and thoughtful in his advice and recommendations. Our old house was rather tricky to work in due to a prior basement reno with wonky sprayed foam insulation but with Ash's knowledge and determination, he got it done right.
