In 2021, I hired this company to do cleaning and general maintenance on my heat pumps. During this, the technician noted that the fan on the condenser was going to need to be replaced but could wait until the following summer as the warranty would be good until then. We could not afford the work at that point so waited until the following March. At that point they scheduled our appointment but then, before doing the work, notified us that they had made a mistake and the parts warranty had expired since the previous time and would not be covered so we would owe the full amount. Their incompetency and demanding we pay for their mistake was upsetting but I took it on the chin and decided to be merciful, accepting that mistakes happen. Fast forward to this month, I had more work done on another heat pump. When I went to pay the $1500 bill, I found an unexpected charge on my credit card which made me come up $150 short of the required amount. I paid what I could and asked for a 6 day extension for my next pay cheque to be able to make good, which would have still been within a normal industry standard of 30 days of the service. They refused. As per their response to another customer I note on here from 2022, they like to be hyperbolic, claiming that customer didn't feel he needed to pay for the service, whereas you can see in his complaint that he wanted all the service done before paying. They are very nice as long as you grovel at their feet and don't do anything to in any way upset them. Go to their google reviews and look at their responses to the 1 star reviews to see their level of professionalism.

Jamies response is interesting in how intentionally misleading it is.
The "portion of the balance" was not a small amount. I needed 6 days to get the final $140 of the $1490 bill.
I won't bother responding to her wildly inexperienced comment claiming all businesses dealing with the general public have zero tolerance for anyone needing six days, adult prospective customers who know more than this girl can make their own decisions.
Her insinuation that they gave me awhile to pay is factually incorrect.
Her claim that the "payment terms are clearly laid out in our estimates given prior to preforming any work" would be a better argument if she provided a picture on here of where she provided this to me (spoiler alert: I was in fact told before the work was performed, I would have 30 days).
As to the childish claim that I should've waited to be in "a better financial situation", as I clearly explained to her, another company that had preauthorized access to my credit card had made some unexpected charges that made me unable to pay the last 9%, nine percent, of the bill until my next paycheck. Their charges only came as I went to pay for Atmospheres services and my asthmatic childs health needing a properly functioning heat pump was important anyways.
Her rebuttal is unsurprising given her unprofessional text messages to me.
Bradley hired our company to do a repair and was quoted the price for repair which he agreed to pay.
When the repair was completed he only paid a portion of the balance owing because he did not have the remaining funds to cover the balance.
Our services are DUE UPON completion and there are no 30 day terms... no different than any other business that deals with the general public.
When Bradley couldn't pay we gave him several weeks to get his finances in order but he still could not provide final payment.
We had no choice but to threaten to send his account to collections, at which point he found the remaining money owed and sent it to us for final payment.
We are not a finance company and our payment terms are clearly laid out in our estimates given prior to preforming any work. If Bradley did not have the funds to afford the repair he should have never hired our company to preform the work in the first place and waited until he was in a better financial position.
I called for a cleaning on my heat pump. The staff in the office were very informative and friendly. The technician who came to my home was very polite and professional. He gave me tips for at home care, which was helpful as I'm not familiar with the system.
Let me know if this is acceptable work? Supposed to be a 4 to 5 hour install the guys were here until 7 o’clock at night because they never installed that particular model before and couldn’t get it working. They had to come back the next day. Conduit lines, not being properly fastened to the house, showing up to the job with the wrong equipment. Example did not have t joints to run the conduit they way I wanted them too, Cory dodged me for two days, and wouldn’t return my calls and when he calls me back, he starts point the finger at me and hangs up the phone! That’s acceptable? Who wouldn’t be upset by this after spending 12500 dollars! They have refused to come look at the job that their own technicians did! The last picture is how the conduit should’ve been be done in 2 runs not three!! Now I have to hire another contractor to come in and fix the show that they did and I have to replace all the brand new siding that just got done!! Completely unacceptable what this company has done!! They also voided the warranty that I fully paid for!! Do yourself a favour and avoid this company!!
He was verbally abusive to our office staff and proceeded to drive to our office location with an accomplice at which point we refused to engage with him.
If there are ever any concerns about quality or issues with our services we always find a way to ensure that our customers are treated with the upmost of respect and quality assurance.
However: we also reserve the right to protect our staff from both verbal and physical harm and this is why no one was sent back to his home to remedy his issues.
I live in Calgary and I purchased an air conditioner from Costco for my 88 year mother who was suffering from the extreme heat and humidity of the 2020 summers heat wave.
I was desperately trying to find a company that would set up a Costco air conditioner.
I phoned Atmospheric Climate Control and spoke to a very pleasant lady named Donna.
Within an hour she had a technician at her home and the air conditioner was up and running...I could have cried. Living in Alberta for 35 years, I wanted to move back to Halifax right away as that sincere, kind deed that Donna did for my Mum warmed my heart is a rare quality is this Covid day and age.

Great experience with Atmosphere. They certainly live up to the great reviews and experiences that everyone has been describing. We look forward to staying cool this summer with our new Carrier heat pump. They are a bit more expensive than some of the other competitors that we had other quotes from but the quality of the Carrier system and the expertise of Cory and his staff is worth the investment. Great team.
We purchased a Carrier heat pump from Atmosphere Climate Control and the guys were just absolutely incredible to work with. There were a few minor things that we had concerns about when the installation was complete but the guys came back right away and remedied any of our concerns promptly. When reading all the great reviews about Atmosphere the first thing that will stand out is how honest they are and it becomes even more evident when the reviews are compared to similar businesses.
From the first time you speak to someone on the telephone until the service is completed the experience is just beyond an excellent customer experience.
We have used Atmosphere for over 4 years now and just recently purchased a new Carrier heating and air conditioning system to replace an older GOODMAN heat pump system that barely made it 8 years in our new home we built.
Just like all of our previous service visits, everything happened exactly on the scheduled as discussed. From the initial estimate appointment to the follow up phone calls about the sales call service, the on-site visit to prepare for the installation and finally for the actual installation. On the installation day the service team arrived on time, set up inside and outside in a way to least disturb me and my neighbors. The installation supervisor explained what was happening during the course of the day. The entire installation team was friendly, professional, and courteous.
After the job was completed, Tanner and Colin cleaned everything and left no trace that they had been there.
This is a company I would highly recommend. Your time and money will be well spent.
The team at Atmosphere is phenomenal! The owner, as well as his employees, showed us great respect and we're genuinely interested in our issues and helping us out . Their work was done efficiently and professionally and I honestly couldn't see my wife and I going with anyone else. Big thanks to the team and all their hard work!
It's so nice to know some contractors are still professional, show up on time, work clean and organized , and actually FIX the problem.
We had 4 other companies come and inspect our poorly installed heat pump system and it wasn’t until Cory showed up with his team that we learned about all the errors that the other companies had missed. The system wasn’t installed to code, the electrical wires were too small, the ducting was too small and the heat pump was almost 1/2 the size it should have been!!!.
We decided to contract Atmosphere to take out all of the old system and install everything new and fresh with an upgraded Carrier GREENSPEED system. Much MUCH better now that we have the new system up and running.
