Hired this contractor to do my 2nd room in my partial finished basement Feb 2015 during winter. At first I am satisfied however when summer came July 2015 we found our A/C not cooling anymore( which was perfectly working summer 2014).
Cambridge came and we found out there is freon leakage. On the same room that they did when they installed the ceiling there 2 screws hit the A/C freon pipe. We called them to fix the ceiling again and charge how much charged the cambridge since their guy hit the A/C freon pipe. They refused to fix the ceiling and pay the damage and deny they work on that room. I asked Elina to send the project Manager Alex to verify the area but they ignored my last request.
The reason it is late we found it because we don't use A/C during winter. And I trust this contractor that they are professional enough that they know what they are doing which apparently not.
Contract was 1 week for one room but ended 3 weeks.
This is the last communication from them
"I am sorry but we cannot be responsible for AC pipes as ceiling work didn't involve any AC ducts. Our work took place over 6 months and the furnace never gave you any issues. We examined the pictures.
I spoke to Alex and he said that we could have not damaged any pipes as they were working in a different area."
Therefore, if they broke something not part of their scope of work they won't be responsible.
Make sure if you make a deal with this contractor put in the contract that whatever damaged done due to their construction and cost of the repair, they must pay otherwise you will shoulder every thing for the repair.
