I recently worked with Blom on a full main floor renovation including new kitchen. Their team was extremely professional and capable working on my 1920s house where surprises are inevitable. I am very happy with the finished product, and as importantly they were on time and on budget. 10/10 would recommend and I will absolutely work with Blom again in the future.

The person that they hire to do tile did an excellent job. The tile is amazing! Everything else was just okay. We had them install a shower and shower door. They put the glass in backwards and some of the hardware upside down. They came back to fix it but it just showed a lack of attention to details. The mud job they did on the wall surrounding the shower was definitely sub par. They were okay, the job was done but we didn't contract the job out for an okay job. I also chose some materials which were lower in price than the estimate and they didn't adjust the bill. When I mentioned it, they made the adjustment but it just seemed like they were trying to fly under the radar. Not straight up and that doesn't sit well with me.

We hired Blom Contracting to upgrade our home during the summer of 2020. Nick and his team began by installing beams in the basement to support our sagging floors. They removed all the existing drywall, installed spray foam insulation and then re-drywalled and painted. They also renovated our laundry room which looks amazing now.

After completing the basement they began work on the main floor, bedrooms and washroom. They removed the old floor and drywall as well as all the interior doors and all the windows. They installed new foam insulation, new windows, drywall, doors and new laminate flooring throughout.

They gutted our old tired washroom and transformed it into a beautiful modern washroom. It looks great and we love it!

We would highly recommend Blom Contracting to anyone who wants it done right. They are courteous and professional and their pricing is fair.

We remodeled our ensuite bathroom and upgraded countertop, lighting and fixtures in the main bathroom. Doing a renovation during a pandemic is challenging, but Nick and his staff worked thru issues of product availability and worked hard to find different sources and options for acquiring what we were looking for.

We are very happy with the job Blom Contracting did with our bathrooms. The quality of the materials and work are excellent. Nick and the crew made sure to clean up after each work day and their staff are skilled, professional and friendly. They kept us informed about the timeline before they started the work on a regular basis.

Amazing team! Our shower renovation was seem less and done in a very reasonable time. The Nick and the crew made sure to clean up after each work day and the communication was clear and concise. We will definitely be using Blom again in the future!

Blom did a massive renovation for us that involved our whole main floor (1000 sq ft) – it involved a wall coming down, two new structural beams, reconfiguring the powder room and mud room, a new doorway being added and a bay window shrinking to a smaller kitchen window. I was beyond thrilled with the work that they did. Nick was wonderful to work with – he was always quick to offer solutions to what seemed like roadblocks, and would offer budget-friendly options whenever possible. The kitchen designer who we worked with through Blom was incredible, as were all of the renovation technicians and sub-contractors who came in. Everyone was friendly, skilled and knowledgeable.

Most importantly, they stuck to the schedule and completed the reno ON TIME. No one believed my confidence that we would be back in the house as quick as we were, but in the end I had neighbours commenting on how often they saw the Blom trucks in our driveway. Nick and Rita truly care about their clients, and want to make the renovation process as painless as possible. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Everyone we interacted with (crew, office), were polite, kind, and answered any questions we had. Email responses were prompt. I feel that the quality of materials used are of good quality and the workmanship the same. We stayed on budget and schedule.
