Read our experience before you become the next victim. …We hired Blue Nile to undertake a restaurant renovation, found them on Kijiji. They told us about their crew of skilled trades would be able to handle everything as general contractor. We were very confident and felt good about everything to the point that we took their word for it. Owner is a smooth talker, he knew what to say when to say it and how to come across, handled himself extremely professional, had a way of convincing people and able to get them to give him upfront deposits toward renovation and construction projects. we signed the contract with Blue Nile. A month went by and there was no work commenced because of the permit excuses. Although milestones were not met we were convinced that the second draw should be given otherwise sub trades won’t be able to work. With many doubts we gave more money. Upon completion, the sub trades shockingly called us demanding their money. This is when we realized the money we had given them was not available and we were going to be faced with a difficult situation. None of the sub-trades were paid. We still did not get the justice we deserve as the police told us this was a civil matter, declined to lay criminal charges. We have the proper paper trail but can’t afford a lawyer and may be we’ll be in line to collect as there are several cases ahead of us waiting restitution. He has not paid his employees, sub-contractors and takes money willingly from unsuspecting victims!

Blue Nile Capital Inc. has received complaints from their suppliers and/or creditors
Complaint: Sean Carlson and Blue Nile Capital are horrible to deal with. Sean currently owes several contractors in Winnipeg upwards of $20,000. DO NOT do business with this man.
Sean is very UN-organized I would not trust him to oversee any construction he can't even oversee his own bank account. For example every cheque we ever received from him bounced so we had to as he pay in guaranteed bank drafts. Small figures mind you under $1,000.00 cheques.
For the past 4 months we've been asking Sean to pay his overdue invoices from Winter 2016. He has led on our corporation along with other contractors with lie after lie. We will be taking him to court. I would NEVER do business with Sean Carlson or his company again seeing how he treated us along with several other contractors who provided work for him.
We rent bins out, there is no good or bad job there is simply a bin. Sean has no gripe with the services provided he only has great things to say about the work we did... but has not paid the bins he rented or the dump fees covered.
I've called until he blocked our number, emailed, until he changed his email. His business address is a lie as well. BEWARE.
Complaint: Not to be trusted. Takes your money and does not complete work in a timely manner. Currently Sean is being taken to court.
