Faulty workmanship. Failed their Inspection.
Spent thousands with them for Kitec plumbing removal. On inspection day, the inspection failed for not having the piping braced every 4’. This is mandatory by standard plumbing protocol to avoid rattling behind the walls. Bosco was to be present during the inspection but was a No-Show that day.
A stop work order was placed by the inspector until it was rectified, which caused delays for the entire project. Financial losses were incurred as well, due to having to re-open multiple areas for the inspector to re-examine Boscos work.
The worst news came when it was discovered that the shower connectors behind the wall were loose because when the plumber raised the shower head piping he used a drywall screw to brace the wood causing it to crack.
When it was brought to Boscos head office they used multiple excuses to deny their faulty workmanship even after photos that their plumber took were shown as clear evidence. They are in complete denial and do not stand by their work.
We had to fix the issue ourselves. To date they did not offer to fix the issue nor refund any portion of the extra expenses incurred to open up the walls to repair their faulty workmanship and gross error. Stay far away.
Terrible. Just the worst experience I have ever had with a company. These people should be ashamed of themselves. I hired them to fix a drainage problem and they did not. However, they did break the shutoff valve behind the toilet in the basement leaking gallons of water over a 3 day period. They also broke the seal for the stack to the upstairs bathroom leaking raw sewage into the basement. After they have created these problems they avoided my calls. Zero interest in making things right. AVOID THIS COMPANY.
Our technician and drains Manager were dispatched out to the residence on October 20th due to a sewer back up in her basement. Upon arrival, she admitted that her lines were damaged and wanted us To simply clear the main line of water.
The basement washroom had the fecal matter as well as water all over the floor due to the toilet over flowing from the backup.
We removed the toilet, shutoff the water valve which didn t shutoff completely due to its age, and attempted to snake from the toilet flange but were unsuccessful. Our next attempt was from the stack in the basement living room which was a cast metal stack. We were successful in clearing the line. After our clean up we recommended doing a camera inspection to determine the severity of the line but the customer declined, setting I m selling the home and will not be fixing anything in this home, it can be the next home owner's problem."
We offered to call a restoration company for her to clean up all the water damage, in which she gladly agreed to.
We screwed down the clean out cap on the stack, but left the toilet off so the restoration crew could clean up properly.
After the restoration individuals arrived on-site to do a site walk, the customer changed her mind about the restoration, so were installed the toilet, leaving the water shutoff.
The next day I received a phone call that the stack was leaking. I returned to seeing if I could repair by sealing the outside with seal tight. The clean out cap rubber seal was destroyed due to age and removing it from the stack. Myself and The customer agreed that we d return on Monday and would replace the stack at no charge. There was no discussion about the water shutoff leaking or water damage.
On Monday the customer called in stating that the water shutoff was leaking, and her floors were soaked. The customer confessed that she had another company out who camerad her line, and she now wanted her lines snaked at no charge, including the other repairs. . We agreed to do everything at no charge, even though the other company had to remove the toilet to do a camera inspection, which caused the water to leak on her floor. The customer, however, didn t want our technician out to do the work. We explained that for learning purposes, we wanted the technician to repair the work.
We made several attempts to reconcile the situation with the customer, including free repairs as well as full reimbursement of the initial call. However, the customer continued to be uncooperative.
We are more than willing to fix the issues at hand at no cost and will continue to do right in all aspects of our servicing. Quick note- every conversation that we have with Heather is recorded.

On time. Polite. Professional. Checklist to ensure MY satisfaction with the service/product. Probably partly due to Bosco Home Services training but also a genuine helpful, knowledgeable, individual. Highly recommend for high budget items, fast service as well.
Gary’s service through Bosco was absolutely fantastic. He did a great job and made sure we understood the options presented to us, without trying to push us to make a particular decision. Overall, Gary was friendly and professional, putting us at ease during the service. I would highly recommend Bosco and would use them again in the future (and even request Gary).
Shocking price!! Needed to replace a drain pipe from kitchen sink to basement floor. Replacement was basement level and basement wall was already opened so just replacement needed. The Y connector was cemented to the floor so required some chiseling. $2100 was the initial quote. A young man gave us the estimate and we declined for obvious reasons. They somehow figured it was a half days work and a standard fee of $1800 just for labor. A few hours later received a call saying they could do it for $1200 + HST. No thanks. I found another plumber with over 25 years exp. and our pipe was replaced in an hour. $280 all in. People beware of overpricing. I think Bosco has lost touch with reality. Something is wrong. I have no idea on how their workmanship is and I will probably never know. Sorry Bosco! Everyone was very polite and professional but wow!
Troy came in initially and recommended getting a new furnace. He was very thorough
and professional. He explained clearly the reasons for getting a new furnace over fixing the old one.
Once the furnace was in it stopped working within a day and I called Bosco for service.
Rich Durette was the tech that came over and after an extensive examination fianally
discovered that it wasn't the furnace but a vent pipe that was not angled properly causing
water to fill inside it. Rich made the adjustment and everything seems to be working well
now. Rich was very friendly, courteous and professional and I was very happy with his work.
I woke up Jan 21st 2017 with a cold bathroom floor, instantly knew my heat was no longer working (thankfully it was relatively warm outside)
I called Bosco after hours Home Services at 7:30am. By 7:50 I had a call from a Bosco associate confirming the service required. By 8:15 I had a call from Bosco again to say that a technician would be on site between 8:30am and 9am.
Kevin showed up at my home at approximately 8:35am.
Kevin looked at my furnace and within 5 minutes he determined the problem I was having. Kevin explained everything to me so that I was well informed. Kevin provide me with several different options that I could potentially go with; including installing a brand new unit. This was not an option simply because my current Goodman was only 6 years old.
Kevin called the supplier to ensure he could get the part; he left to pick up the part that he required in order to bring my unit back to working condition. Kevin was able to negotiate to obtain a better part than the original at no extra cost to myself where I was very happy to hear.
Kevin noticed after he installed the new part, and started the furnace that I had rattle that was quite loud, this was a rattle that was present prior to the breakdown (it rattled from the day it was installed. Kevin went to his tuck and found some metal to shimmy the spot so that the rattle was now gone.
Kevin also took the time to check all other components of the furnace to ensure no other issues, and did notice that there was a bit of dust build up on a sensor. Kevin cleaned this sensor for me.
Kevin also noticed that I had humidifier on my furnace and did appear to be set accurately for the winter months (I'm a single woman, who knew!!). Kevin took the time to show me all the different settings, and how they made this unit operate, how to change the filter on this unit, and even marked out where I need to move and set the unit based on seasons, and what to do if there was too much moisture.
I want to say that Kevin's knowledge, and level of service was outstanding. I feel that Kevin went way over and above his accountability.
I definitely wouldn't call any other company if I ever require this type of repair, or any other repair I may require if Bosco has that service; it will be them who get my call!!
