I woke up Jan 21st 2017 with a cold bathroom floor, instantly knew my heat was no longer working (thankfully it was relatively warm outside)
I called Bosco after hours Home Services at 7:30am. By 7:50 I had a call from a Bosco associate confirming the service required. By 8:15 I had a call from Bosco again to say that a technician would be on site between 8:30am and 9am.
Kevin showed up at my home at approximately 8:35am.
Kevin looked at my furnace and within 5 minutes he determined the problem I was having. Kevin explained everything to me so that I was well informed. Kevin provide me with several different options that I could potentially go with; including installing a brand new unit. This was not an option simply because my current Goodman was only 6 years old.
Kevin called the supplier to ensure he could get the part; he left to pick up the part that he required in order to bring my unit back to working condition. Kevin was able to negotiate to obtain a better part than the original at no extra cost to myself where I was very happy to hear.
Kevin noticed after he installed the new part, and started the furnace that I had rattle that was quite loud, this was a rattle that was present prior to the breakdown (it rattled from the day it was installed. Kevin went to his tuck and found some metal to shimmy the spot so that the rattle was now gone.
Kevin also took the time to check all other components of the furnace to ensure no other issues, and did notice that there was a bit of dust build up on a sensor. Kevin cleaned this sensor for me.
Kevin also noticed that I had humidifier on my furnace and did appear to be set accurately for the winter months (I'm a single woman, who knew!!). Kevin took the time to show me all the different settings, and how they made this unit operate, how to change the filter on this unit, and even marked out where I need to move and set the unit based on seasons, and what to do if there was too much moisture.
I want to say that Kevin's knowledge, and level of service was outstanding. I feel that Kevin went way over and above his accountability.
I definitely wouldn't call any other company if I ever require this type of repair, or any other repair I may require if Bosco has that service; it will be them who get my call!!
