I have used Brant Plumbing Heat and Air for several years for both my personal properties and rental properties I own. They have always gone above and beyond for responding in a timely manner, charging just as they quote, and discussions different solutions to problems. I have and will continue to recommend this reputable company!
Brutal gouging for a 15 minute service call. Do not use this company. When I questioned owners about excessive charge, they laughed at me on the phone.
Repeat - do not use this company. Very unprofessional and totally lacking in customer relations.
Keith contacted Brant Plumbing Heat & Air the morning of December 26, 2015 (Boxing Day)as his furnace had stopped working. Keith's call was answered and over the phone trouble shooting took place for approximately 20 mins. Our policy is to trouble shoot over the phone, possibly fixing the problem to prevent dispatching a service technician. This is our policy during regular business hours and during after hours. It was determined that a technician would have to be dispatched for on site trouble shooting and repair. Keith was explained that the hourly rate would be time and a half as it was a stat holiday, he would also be charged travel time and there would be an additional after hours dispatch charge. Keith understood service would be more expensive on this day, said he needed his heat fixed and requested that a service technician be dispatched. We sent our on call service technician Keith's contact information. Our on call service technician contacted Keith and advised him about the additional cost and Keith explained that he had family at his home and he could not wait to have his heat repaired. Our on call service technician left his home and went to Keith's home. It was diagnosed that the furnace failure was due to a lack of maintenance. Our on call service technician cleaned the furnace flame sensor, tested the furnace operation, wrote up the work order/invoice, Keith signed the workorder/invoice and our on call service technician went on his way. A few days later Keith called our office to voice his concerns over the cost of the repair. We understood Keith's concerns. However, the cost of having an on call service technician dispatched to his home on December 26th (Boxing Day) was explained during Keith's initial call to our company and again by the on call service technician. Keith requested the service call knowing it would be more expensive on this day. Keith was upset, said this was highway robbery and that our company single handedly ruined his Christmas then hung up the phone. We did what we could to trouble shoot over the phone, explained the additional costs of dispatching a on call service technician on a stat holiday, dispatched our on call service technician, repaired Keith's furnace leaving he and his family with a warm and comfortable home. We feel we provided personal, timely and professional service on a day that most contractors would not even answer their phones.
