After fielding estimates from approximately 15 other contractors, we decided to work with Ryan and his team for a complete renovation for our master bathroom. From the outset, Ryan was one of the most professional and courteous people we dealt with. He was transparent with his pricing (updated quotes were emailed) and was very knowledgeable about the work involved. He anticipated some of the challenges that we might face since we went with a second hand vanity. He showed very good problem solving skills in dealing with a previously squeaky bathroom floor and an outlet which lost power when it was moved. End to end, the project took a few days longer than originally committed, partly due to another project requiring his urgent attention as well as a small miscalculation of the floor opening for our bath tub water lines (which he fixed) that needed replacement of a couple floor tiles. However, it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience and he provided good value throughout the project. His tile setter, Bruno, deserves special mention also because he was always very punctual and was great to deal with when deciding on the tile layout, grout colours, niche placement, etc. Overall, we had a very good experience with the whole team and are enjoying our bathroom very much. Thanks Ryan!!
We chose Branton Construction based on the realistic professional quote as well as positive customer reviews and our impressions following our initial contacts with Ryan.
He demonstrated his knowledge and experience in bathroom renovations and willingness to answer all questions in regards to the execution of the project and what to expect in terms of costs and scheduling. We were also impressed with photos on his website showing the progression of work and completed projects.
Our renovation experience was amazing with very few hiccups. As some things don’t always go as planned and is to be expected with a renovation of a 1980’s bathroom, a good contractor knows how to deal with it and Ryan clearly explained options and costs and time involved to address the issues. He also uses great tradesmen. We love our bathroom and can honestly recommend Branton construction for your renovation needs.
When we decided to do our kitchen, finding a good and reliable contractor was our biggest concern. Having previous challenging experiences with contractors, we wanted to be careful who we worked with for this key project. Branton Construction came well recommended to us by our friends. It has been an amazing experience working with Ryan and seeing our ideas take shape. Not only is he trustworthy, transparent and ‘just a call away’ but he also takes time to understand your vision and does everything in his power to bring it to life. Ours wasn’t an easy transformation but he always kept us apprised of any complications that arose and guided us through the steps we needed to take. It has been a very seamless and stress free experience for us(not for Ryan I am sure). I would recommend Branton Construction to anyone in a heartbeat. He will truly make your vision his own and help you transform any part of your home.
Deepty 2020
Ryan and his team put up a new deck for me. I was thoroughly pleased with the work and Ryan made sure I was fully satisfied each step in the process. I have referred others to him due to the professionalism and wonderful work.
We have met Ryan 3 years ago when we were looking for someone to redo our basement. Ryan's offer (at the time) was the most convincing. His pricing is in line with his peers but his professionalism and his attention to details are unmatched. He really knows his craft and his crew and himself did a fantastic job with our basement. It's like having an interior designer and a general conractor in one individual. Since then, we have employed him for several other projects:
- attic insulation (2017)
- furnace room insulation (2018)
- backyard deck (2020) and shed (2020)
Furter, he has renovated my in-laws laudry room (2018), and my former colleague's bathroom (2018). Both were very happy with the results. My in-laws have already booked him to build their deck next year, my neighbor has booked him for a deck this Fall and my in-laws best friends have booked him for their bathroom in the upcoming months.
Ryan really pays attention to details: he doesn't cut the corners short and very often, over achieves. He stays within budget to the point that he did a lot things that were not included because he wanted to do them right (for free). He aleady knows that next year (or 2022), we'll ask him for a quote to renovate our 2 upstairs bathroom and the flooring.
As always, I would ask for 2-3 quotes and no matter the project, Ryan's quotes were always the best ones.
To be perfectly honest, we have never experienced any material issues with Ryan nor did my in-laws. He's usually on time and he always try to find the most reasonnable solution. We're all very satsfied with his work.
I will continue to recommend his services without hesitation. He' our trusted pro!!!

HIRE RYAN - I can't recommend him highly enough. Quality workmanship, excellent communication, fair prices and true to schedule. He's reliable and trustworthy, and accommodated all of my requests. He prioritized the project until it was completely finished, despite a short pause in activity due to an order error on my part. I LOVE my new bathroom!
We found rotten wood concealed under our shower threshold at the beginning of the COVID shutdown. I sent Ryan a video of the damage, and I requested an estimate based on what he saw. His response made it clear that he watched the video instead of firing off an e-mail of his standard rate for replacing a four-piece bathroom. After that, he came in-person to reassess the damage. We settled on a price and a schedule. He couldn't give us firm days, just weeks, because of the circumstance. Ryan was very transparent about his other commitments and the extent of the work required.
We did not know our shower was an irregular size, so we needed a custom sand base for waterproofing. Ryan was able to line up an excellent guy for the sand base, who went beyond what was asked of him. Ryan reviewed photos of his work and then did a thorough review at our house. If the floor fails, Ryan has a guarantee with his trade, and he will have it fixed for us at no cost.
He did a great job with the tiling and reinstalling our glass door despite the irregular dimensions. He has provided us with a written guarantee that water will not get out of the shower and that his waterproofing under the tiling will hold up. Not bad.
He was very transparent about what he could do, what he wanted to do, and what he would do in our situation. He was also clear about the consequences of the limitations we placed on him, which I know caused him some frustration.
He’s also a good guy that's willing to have a decent and genuine conversation. I’m sure there were times when he was in a rush, but I only felt that once when we came to our house on Canada Day to do some repairs with his son. That’s right, he came on Canada Day to work on the project.
Notes about the photo: I asked him not to paint the walls, just set them up for me. Same with the toilet. They're all in place now, but so is the rest of my bathroom gear, which takes away from his work.
We were very fortunate to find Ryan Branton to tackle our unplanned recreation room and basement remediation project. He responded quickly to our initial cry for help, provided a pragmatic diagnosis of the problem, gave a clear explanation of the potential solutions, offered some practical options, and provided a speedy implementation of the solution we agreed upon. Ryan's crew and the additional trades people he works with were all exceptionally professional, friendly, and efficient. They all completed their tasks on budget and on time (within the constraints of the Christmas season and prior holiday commitments by both contractor and client).
The project cost was very reasonable and did not exceed the orignal quotation.
I would have absolutely no hesitation is using Ryan again as a general contractor and would certainly recommend his services.
Ryan and his team renovated our kitchen in 2019 and we couldn't be happier! From start to finish Ryan was honest, transparent and responsive. All three things we found were hard to find in other contractors. This was a big job for us since we did a complete gut of our old kitchen and even took down a wall that separated our living space from our kitchen. Throughout the process Ryan provided his expertise and made what could have been an overwhelming and daunting project an enjoyable one. We had a budget for our renovation and with so many unknowns we still felt Ryan went above and beyond to ensure we stayed as close to our original budget as possible. Once you take on a large renovation you need to trust your contractor since they have to make so many decisions on your behalf. You can trust Ryan and his team. We love our home and we felt like Ryan was our partner in this journey to create a new space that we will love for many more years to come. We will be calling Ryan and his team for any future renovations!
