Steve and David were great! They wore masks, cleaned up after they installed the gas line, checked to ensure the Stove was working before they left. They completed the job within 2 days of me calling them. I would highly recommend them. They were courteous and polite. I will be calling them back to install a gas line in my backyard for my BBQ once my house has sod! (New Build).
2 Issues of Poor Installation
Very disappointed with my experience with Brown's and would not recommend them. In 2013 I had purchased a hot water tank from them and had them install it. The owner Stephen sent 2 inexperienced guys who put the heater on a cart and rolled the cart with dirty wheels down my carpeted basement steps without using a tarp of any kind. They assembled the exhaust with the incorrect glue, (even I could tell by the colour that it was the wrong cement). I questioned it and the owner Stephen agreed and sent a senior installer to my home to reinstall the exhaust. I gave Stephen a second chance and hired him to install a gas line for my BBQ. The owner sent a young installer who didn't tighten the gas valve on the meter. My neighbour complained about a strong smell of gas, I called Stephen who arrived and tightened the valve. He drove off without any apology or acknowledgement of the carelessness of his installer. I recently had a new furnace installed by another company who advised me that the installers of the hot water tank (Brown's) recognized a red flag with the installation. A flexible hose from the main gas pipe to the water heater was used instead of metal pipe. I paid for these installers to fix again another mistake made by Brown's installers. The reason I am writing this is that I don't want other consumers to experience the problems I did. This is a natural gas installation, there is really no room for error by an installer.
I recently had a member of Steve's company call me to offer a cleaning of my furnace, I explained to the lady how upset I was with Steve's company and that Steve give me a call as i want to be reimbursed for the $150.00 I never should have paid. I have not heard from him, so I am writing this review for others to read when considering investing in a new furnace, air conditioner and/or water tank. Do your homework.
I received a call a few months from this company to offer me a cleaning of my furnace. I asked the representative to have the owner call me regarding the flagged installation of the water heater, I unfortunately never heard from him, and here we are today.
This is natural gas, forgetting to shut off the natural gas valve at the meter or installing the wrong piping. The safety of your family, there is no room for error.

Im sorry to hear a review of this nature. Our company always uses drop sheets and carpet runners on stairs for safety reasons. The water tank installers, the lead experienced guy quit after I questioned him on his workmanship and attitude.In all our years never before or since has someone lasted only a day. To make things right, in July 2013 we returned and completed a code compliant installation.
The BBQ line was installed and tagged April 2015, by a certified G2 gas installer, who left a fitting that required additional tightening.
We responded immediately and corrected the situation. I'm sorry to hear now that ,the apology and acknowledgement of problem wasn't satisfactory.
When responding to customer issues with workmanship and quality, we are always sincere about making amends, on our own time and standing by our one year installation guarantee.
Dec 2016 we performed a furnace tune-up and none of this was brought to our attention at that time.
Then another company found issue with the water heater? Why weren't proper professional procedures followed and a red tag issued? That also would have been corrected just like the previous issues.
We again contacted Mr. Freedman for our 2017 A/C service special and now here we are. We stand by all our installations and service work and will continue to make things right for all our customers. Over 20 plus years in this business and still progressing to achieve 100% perfection in all our business affairs.

I meet Steve at the beginning of the year for major work to be done on my renovation of my new house.
He was pleasant to deal with, his quote was reasonable and his workers were great as well, they knew what they were doing and were very efficient in the work to be done.
My gas boiler was disconnect for my underpinning and all radiators were disconnected for the new support beam and flooring to be installed. The radiator, water and sewer runs all had to be moved to make room for the I-beam and reconnected again.
At the end all was completed and they did a great job
Just recently I posted for my fireplace hook up and they quickly got back to me and set up a time for the following week installation. They came, did the gas installation, the rear exhaust hole and venting and also fixed my boiler valve that was dripping.
Really glad with their work and I would recommend them to friends and family.

We hired Brown's Home Heating on a referral from a close friend of ours to install a new furnace,air conditioner and thermostat.We were impressed with the care they took in our home spreading out runners on the floors and were very careful not to do any damage when bringing in the equipment. They did a great job installing my new furnace and also showed us where we were losing a lot of air by some shabby pipe and duct installation.The guys were courteous,on time and cleaned up after themselves.Overall it was a great experience and we would highly recommend Steve and his team.I guess I should also mention that their pricing was very competitive.
