We were originally estimated to have 'the job' done within a day, possibly two, should any unforseen events occur. Five days later, the original job has not been completed. While we can understand there are always the unforseen, the biggest time consuming job was a job that the contractor had highly recommended us doing and was not a part of the original plan. Believing his intentions were well, and his estimated extra 2 days of work were going to be beneficial to us, we agreed to go ahead. It was during the last couple days that we realized he was not willing to work the 9am - 5pm day he had originally offered as he often would leave between 3:30 /4:30 at the latest. While the work he did perform was done well enough, he continued to threaten to pack his things and leave whenever we asked him what it was that had been done, and what we could expect the following day. As home owners, we reserve the right to know where our money is being spent, and seeing as he had brought in another worker to help him, we were confused as to why the jobs he had said could be done in a quicker fashion, were not being done at all. When we asked why the original job had not been completed, we were told to hire him for another day or get someone else, but that he was not going to spend more time in the day on the project. Keep in mind, he had not once, put in a full days worth of work. This could have been left as is and on a fair note, but before he left our home he made a jab at my husband's profession stating that he would not understand a hard days physical work because he worked on computers for a living. We should not have to point out that these statements are incredibly insulting and disgustingly ignorant. We are hurt by what this person felt was apropriate conduct. We paid the first bill, and we are paying our concluding bill, we are honest hard working people; but we will never again hire-a-husband, we'd much rather an honest contractor with much more humility and work ethic.
This customer has sent you a lot of lies, if you don't review this and keep it postal i will have no alternative but to take legal action,Example:
Never was the job capable of being done in one to two days, also the customer did not remove all the tile from walls and left the home in a mess that we had to work around.
Tiling takes more then one day even if the conditions are perfect.(talk to any contractor)
Im not going to respond to a customer who lies, very sad to see a posting like this,
I run a company with integrate and do my best to treat customers and people i work with fairly.
This customer is abusing this situation and harming people in the process.
