It has been a pleasure to work with Marcelo mike and Luigi on the renovation in our bathroom. They were very clean workers, always on time and very polite. It was a lot of work, and they came through on time and really amazed us with our new bathroom. They offered great suggestions and tips along the way, very very helpful!

We hired Marcello's team based on reviews here and they did not disappoint. Mike and Luigi were professional, clean and communicated so well with us. We highly recommend them and are, in fact, hiring Cavallino Construction for our kitchen renovations now!

We hired Marcello and his crew to remove our creaky old hardwood floorboards, advise on soundproofing options and solidify the subfloors too prevent the newly installed floorboards from creaking. Because of the nature and extent of the work, it seemed best not live at home and therefore opted to use this period as an opportunity to travel, which meant we were also hiring Marcello to project manage in our absence not only the removal of the old floors but also to some degree the installation of the new floors, which was being done by another tradesperson. Marcello did a great job. We really appreciated the open lines of communication, which included emails, text messages, phone calls and site visits before we left for our trip as well as while we were traveling. He coordinated well with the person who installed the floors and the project as a whole was very successful. We enjoyed our trip knowing that our home was in good hands -- we would definitely use Marcello again for future projects.

We hired Cavallino construction through a referral. We were renovating an 11 year old home and converted a bedroom into a dining room, removed a powder room and added a ceramic shower to a guest bathroom. we also removed 2 walk-in closets to create a bigger one. And finally, we had our garage tiled. Renos are not always pleasant but Marcello and his crew made our experience enjoyable and were always ready to give us various options and suggestions which turned out to be nice touches...like the niche in the picture

Marcello and his crews had a big job, a complete Renovation of a 5plex in Montreal. They had to modernize to today's standards while while preserving the character of a building constructed in 1932. They managed to not only do this well, they also have a little fun too. I am very proud to be the owner. The only complaint that I have is that I didn't get to see Marcello enough. You can't get enough of him. I would definitely hire him again. AMAZING is all I can say.

I hired Marcello to do exterior renovations on my 130 year old house. I was so impressed by a house renovation I noticed on 34th ave that I stopped and I asked the worker who was doing the work (which happened to be Marcello) if he could take a look at what I intended on doing at my place. I was impressed by Marcello's interest in preserving the "Heritage of the places in Lachine"and his love of his work and pride that he took in keeping it as true to its glorious past.

Marcello Cavallino et son équipe ont terminé mon sous-sol. La soumission était mieux décrite et moins dispendieuse que le premier soumissionnaire. L'équipe est très sympathique. J'ai peint moi-même le sous-sol, Marcello m'a donné de bons conseils sur les produits et les techniques a utiliser. Le sous-sol était propre a la fin de la journée. J'ai eu droit a quelques extras sans frais, déplacement de la laveuse et de la sécheuse, la peinture du plafond, reparations du plafond au salon. Les travaux ont été un peu plus long que prévu, mais j'avais un autre contracteur pour le plancher et Marcello est revenu par la suite pour la finition. Ma seule recommandation, je n'avais pas bien clarifié mes attentes sur la nature des tablettes a installer dans un garde-robe. Les tablettes sont très solides mais moins esthétiques que j'aurais aimé. Je recommande cet entrepreneur.

Great company for the creation of a basement bathroom in my house. I asked Marcello for a quote and he was very prompt to meet me. I told him my budget and he let me know what he could do while respecting my budget which turned out to be the turn-key job. Work was done pretty quickly, on-time and as stated. You hear so many horror stories of the contractor starting then not finishing or having long delays. Not at all the case with these guys. Started and finshed when they said they would. Showed up every day they said they would. Anytime i tried to contact them regarding the work they were always available for me. And of course the most important part: the work. Amazing. I couldn't have asked for more. I had a 10x10 room in the basement with cenent floors and now i have a full beautiful bathroom. Exactly what i wanted. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone and would certainly use them again in the future for any work needed. The whole team was great.

The work done was horrible. The shelving in the bedroom closet fell and broke the 700$ glass doors after only a few months. Only two screws were used to hold up the bathroom vanity and sink. It came loose and we had to repair the wall and have it reinstalled. The new bathtub was not properly secured to the wall so when the tub is filled it sinks by almost one centemiter. In order to fix it we will have to pay to have the ceiling in the bottom floor removed so the can do the work necessary and then rebuild the ceiling. When they ran out of grey grout in the bathroom they used black cement to finish the job. Now I have two colors of grout. When an employee noticed that a wall had been built on an angle the boss replied " it's ok, we can't see it from my house."

When Marcello (owner) came to give a quote, he was very conscious of my budget and took that into account when making suggestions of what could be done and what materials to use to keep the project on budget. The renovation was completed in the time quoted and all the workers were very personable and easy to get along with. I was kept up to date each day on the progress and all work was done in a professional manner. Once completed, the cleanup was excellent - leaving no mess for myself to clean up afterwards.

Before we even decided on using their services, Marcello, the owner, visited twice to provide advice on how best to make use of the space. This really helped us in deciding on the final design. Mike and Andy worked tirelessly and were efficient, courteous and receptive to our needs. It was impressive to see each evening how much work they had managed to get done. They were there from morning to afternoon each day and would confirm the schedule of plumbers and electricians with us to make sure that everything went smoothly.

There are two things that we especially appreciated. First of all, they don't just come to do a job, but they keep thinking about the best way to do it, and are flexible if changes are necessary. It can be difficult to envision exactly how things will turn out at the start of a project and the advice from Marcello, Mike and Andy was very helpful. We gained complete faith in their suggestions and despite the changes, they managed to keep within the budget. They would also explain to us the work that was to be done each day, as well as show us the results.

Secondly, they put in a lot of effort to make the work the least intrusive. They tidied up after every day's work so our house kept feeling like home. Mike and Andy are really great builders!

As a result, we have a beautiful bathroom. Thank you!

Marcello and his team came in to prepare openings to replace a rear window with patio doors, and to change a front window from a bay to a regular window. He clearly explained what work would be involved and what was included and excluded in his pricing (example: mason work to install a concrete sill was not included). He was available to meet the window installer to verify the openings for the job, and he provided excellent advice regarding my options. He was available right before the job so there was no delay between creating the openings and putting in the windows. He was right on time each day and the team put down mats to protect my hardwood floors and cleaned up thoroughly when finished.

I have already booked another project with Marcello and would recommend him highly. It was a pleasure to have him and his team in the house.

We needed to have our bathroom redone before the arrival of our twins, and found TrustedPros.ca. We posted our project on your website and had over a dozen contractors come and bid on our project. None was as professional and supportive as Marcello of Cavallino construction. Marcello came by and listened to our ideas, provided suggestions and gave us an estimate and time frame for our project. He was below everybody else's estimate, and was suggesting that he could have done quicker than everyone else. With the impending arrival of our twins, time was of the essence!

We gave him the contract and offered to supply his own materials, and also offered to let us choose our own, all the while suggesting quality products and vendors. When we had chosen our own materials, he went to pick them up himself free of charge!

When it came time to start the job, he sent one of his teams, Niko and Mike to get the job done. Niko and Mike were professional, courteous, and efficient, and cleaned up at the end of every day. His plumber, painter, electrician, and plasterer were also fantastic. He even repaired and painted our kitchen ceiling (damaged by a leaking roof), and also repaired various cracks in our ceilings and walls...all, at no additional cost. He offered daily status reports of where the project was going and where it would be at the end of the next day. When all was said and done, my wife and I were waiting for a catch, some sort of unpleasant surprise, because this was all too good to be true. Cavallino finished the job ahead of schedule, and even though he was cheaper than the other contractors, he managed to finish under budget.

Working with Cavallino Construction was fantastic. After all the dreaded construction stories I've heard, I was pleasantly surprised.

Marcello and his team did a fantastic job on our kitchen renovation. The project was a complete overhaul of the kitchen which involved removing the centre island, sink, counters, cabinets, built-in gas stove and oven, drywall and raised floor. They created the hole to the exterior to install a new window, installed a new subfloor and heated floor system, and expertly laid our custom cement floor tiles. They added insulation, straightened the walls and installed the cabinets, which in some cases required customizing them to fit around pipes or chimneys. They coordinated the plumbing, electrical and wood-finishing work, which was also done to excellent standards. Mike and Nico were always on the job early, worked hard all day and were always neat, courteous and professional. They have great attention to detail and are good at communicating the tasks at hand. Marcello runs a tight ship, and the project stayed very close to the original estimates in terms of costs and timelines. They even went the extra mile and rectified a situation that was the result of lack of communication on the part of a product manufacturer. We love our new kitchen, with the heated floors and new source of light it has added immense value to our home. Bravo team!
