My wife and I noticed after 2 coats of paint that the tapered (Factory edges) joints on ceiling on main floor had terrible shadowing. The joints in ceiling were visible at night with lighting and noticeable during the day.
I contacted Chris about this and he informed me that it was called “drywall flashing” and there was nothing he could do about it.
I had other drywall folks inspect the work and they stated it was bad mudding and sanding job.
I contacted Chris to come out and look at this but he refused too and stated that there was nothing that could be done and that he was finished with this job. Started noticing other spots that are bad.
See attached ceiling photo and archway.
Wife and I are very displeased with this job, would not recommend these folks!!!
Ceilings are very subject to shadowing from parallel light conditions. Walls somewhat less so. Therefore drywall is always textured. The absence of nail pops or cracks indicates the drywall was applied correctly. The unfortunate thing is when lighting hits at certain times of day it shows shadows. The other contributing factor would be the primer. Never cheapen out on primer make sure it is a good primer and it will lessen or eliminate the shadows of direct lighting at certain time of days.
