Our experience with Valour Renovation and design was completely stress free. James and his crew made the whole process so easy from start to finish. I was so pleased with how nice his entire crew and subcontractors were to deal with, they were always willing to answer any questions we had. James was very hands on and always there if we had any questions or concerns. This is a company you can put your complete faith in to have the project completed on schedule and on budget.
We hired Valour Renovations to vault a kitchen ceiling in an old home, frame in 2 skylights and incorporate pot lights. James was exemplary from our 1st meeting until day of completion. His knowledge of working with an old construction was impressive. We signed a contract detailing exactly what work would be completed and the cost was exactly as quoted. The Valour crew was just as impressive. The crew was hard working, very polite and respectful. They left the site clean every day. James responded promptly to every email or phone call we sent to him with any questions we had (within hours). Valour Renovations went over and above what we expected. Thank you for being part of the transformation! We will be contacting Valour in the future for any major renovations.
James and his crew were amazing. They saved us when our original contractor bailed in the middle of the job. He came to shore up our ceiling a day after contacting him, even though he couldn’t start our job for another couple of weeks. They got more done in a day than my previous contractor managed in a week. Clean and very efficient. I would recommend this company to anyone.
My fiancée and I were incredibly pleased with the work that James and his crew did with our new house. We were first time home buyers, and this was our first-time doing renovations. We were looking to have our main floor floors replaced (new trim, too), a lot of cosmetic work throughout the house (i.e., ripping out and filling in old decorative pieces on the walls), some electrical work, kitchen facelift, and a full bathroom remodel. Naturally, we had read some horror stories online about other contractor experiences and we wanted to avoid this. Thus, we carefully selected James based on great impressions we had from talking with him. I am happy to say that it was a great experience. James worked with us every step of the way to help with design in order to help us understand what was and was not realistic given our budget and what our end goal was. Because James is so knowledgeable of the ins-and-outs of construction, we were able to quickly and easily bounce our ideas off him to determine viability and whether the ideas would work within our budget. He is also quite available in the sense that we were able to contact him quickly to adjust our plans as they developed. Communication was also great throughout the process: we received regular updates on when we could expect the crew to come by and frequent progress updates. Additionally, one of the big selling features that I appreciated was the financial transparency that James brings. I received a detailed and itemized quote based on actual realistic estimates (not unrealistically cheap estimates just to snag customers). As the job progressed, I’ve seen the receipts for the supplies he purchased and receipts for the work from plumbers, electricians, etc. – so I know exactly where my money went. James also passes the discounts he receives from various material suppliers down to you, the customer, which ultimately saved us a ton of money particularly on things like flooring, tiles, and countertop products.
Perhaps most importantly, it was clear to us that James was focused on making us – the customer – happy with the end result. His goal was to complete the renos in a way that my fiancée and I loved - and he was successful at that. We stayed on budget (around 35k; our budget did grow partway through the project because we decided to add more tasks to the job) and they worked quickly. The house looks great – like a magazine – and people are shocked at the transformation.
In all, my fiancée and I have grown to trust James’ judgement and work, and I think you should too. We will be hiring him again for any further work we want done and I think you should too.
James and his Crew were Great! I am very pleased with the quality of work and the extra mile these guys go! They did a quick job and kept to our schedule. Any issues I may have had were dealt with quickly and The Place looks Great!!
