Matthew and Celeste did an excellent job framing, plumbing in and tiling new showers in my bathrooms. They were clean, on time and on budget - a pleasure to work with. They kept me in the loop along the way and offered up great design ideas. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again for other projects.

Matt and Celeste are wonderful to deal with, so glad we checked out this site! They were always prompt and worked steadily while they were here. Matt is very well organized and explained progress and next steps in a straightforward and understandable manner. They both listened to any concerns, which were very minor and more a result of modifications we requested, in a patient and courteous way. The attention to detail shows in the workmanship and it seemed that nothing was too small or too trivial to complete.

We hired Coombes Renovations to tile our kitchen and paint the main floor. The work was done on time and with great attention to detail. Most importantly Matt and Celeste are super easy to work with, and go the extra mile to make sure the desired look is achieved. I can’t say enough great things about Matt & Celeste, they did such an amazing job installing 1400 sq ft of engineered hardwood on the main floor & upstairs of our home. We had originally selected another contractor ( a family friend ) to complete our flooring but he came down with an unexpected health emergency and needed to go in for surgery. My husband and I were in a bind because we had already pulled up all our flooring. Matt came right over to evaluate our job and was able to start the next day! What a life saver. He takes great pride in his work and was such a pleasant person to deal with, any thing we asked for help with he was eager to answer our questions and guide us through the project. We already booked another job with him for next week! It’s extremely hard to find a trustworthy, hardworking contractor that’s fair with their pricing and Matt ticks all these boxes, we will be using him ongoing for any renovation projects.

Matt was great!!! He was hard working, clean and organized.

He took into consideration our needs and wants, and advised us how to proceed.

Matt also did extra items that needed addressing in our home. He removed tile, installed drywall, painted and corrected any imperfection there were.

Great work by Matt and Celeste on our bathroom renovation: Superb tiling work for floors and tub area walls, as well as installation of new vanity, toilet and painting. Very Professional and committed to completing the project on time and on budget. We also appreciated the daily clean up as well as disposing of old materials to the dump same day they were removed. We look forward to working with them on our next project.

We needed drywall taping done on an urgent basis. Matthew accommodated our schedule and completed the project ahead of schedule. The quality of work was excellent and this was confirmed by other trades who had to come in after. This was a great experience from the 1st day when the project started on time and the work was performed as stated. We will definitely engage Coombes Renovations in the future and would highly recommend them.

Exceeded all our expectations. Looks gorgeous! Provided good practical advice on how to proceed (we had no idea what we were doing haha). Completed ahead of predicted schedule and within budget in less than ideal conditions (furnace quit during the coldest days of the year and Matt and his team continued on undaunted). Our project was the installation of 600 square feet of porcelain tile. We interviewed and were provided quotes from several companies. We hired Coombes Renovations for the job for three important reasons.

1. Matthew clearly explained the process step by step.

2. Matthew’s communication skills in person and in emailing a detailed quote the same day attested to both his business skills and professionalism which ultimately gained our trust.

3. We wanted the floor done immediately and he was able to accommodate.

Matthew and his partner Celeste did an impeccable job. They worked long hours from scratch coat, tiling to grouting. They cleaned up each day and explained what had been done and what would be next. Matthew kept in touch with me every step of the way. They showed up on time and went over the plan for the day. This team is talented, professional and extremely hard working. The 600 square foot porcelain floor is stunning. Installation is perfect. Matthew exceeded our expectations and has our highest recommendation.

Mat and his team did a great job installing flooring at our condo on a tight schedule. We lost one day due to a closing mixup but Matt's team put in extra hours on the remaining 3 days and got our floors installed and the entire unit painted.

We were always kept in the loop about any changes to the plan (there were only a few minor ones) and Matt was always responsive over text and phone.

Matt stuck to the exact quote offered at the start and there was no nickel and dimeing for extra supplies, he even threw in the quarter round and molding & door paint. This is our first time working with a contractor and we were apprehensive about delays and cost overruns but everything worked out according to schedule.

Matt and his partner were prompt, courteous and professional in all respects. All work was perfectly ( I'm very picky) completed ahead of schedule and on budget. They left the job site cleaner than they found it! I have no hesitation in recommending Coombes Renovations for your project. We have every intention of working with them again.

We initially intended on just having our floor replaced but, after I demo'ed the kitchen in preparation for Matt and his crew, not only were the floors in really bad shape so was the existing drywall.

Matt and his crew did a great job of installing new insulation, new vapour barrier, new dry wall and applied a fantastic floor. They also did the floor in our entry way area and powder room.

All in all the guys did a great job! We are VERY pleased!

Matthew and his worker were very reliable and honest. Great service and decent prices. Its nice to employ a young hard working contractor. There were no issues and our floor looks great!

I needed drywall hung, finished and painted on the walls and ceiling in one room in my basement. Matt was very attentive and detailed in providing his quote and schedule. His price was quite reasonable, and due to his positive, enthusiastic attitude he stood out from the other contractors I spoke to.

He and his co-workers stuck to the schedule and did a completely professional job. He also followed up daily with updates on the progress of the work and never failed to show up when he said he would. Those of us who've worked with lots of contractors know this is a rare quality!
