My husband and I were looking for a contractor to re-do our driveway. When we choose Creto Concrete/creations. I was happy at first. The project started on April 30 - I can understand with the weather it could be hard but today we are June 21 and the driveway is not finish.
This contractor came with a team to remove the old concrete, did an awfully mess in our yard with the bobcat, smash our siding and broke our stone in 2 corners.
Then he came to do the forms and after the concrete was schedule. We were supposed to be schedule in the morning on a sunny day but this contractor put us at the last of the lines. When the subcontractors comes, thank god for one of them because we almost got 2 different colors. This subcontractor was well experience and stops the job to order another load. The sad part is our contractor schedule them so late that these poor guys had to work till 11:00pm on a Friday night. It was terrible, it was dark, the sub contractors was tired, our contractor was never on site and we had to help the subcontractors to give some light with our truck and front entrance light. Disturb all the neighbours around.
When they were done that night, they came back the next morning to pressure wash – still no contractor from Creto Concrete on site. Our yard in front and back was a mess. We live in a corner and we had garbage on the yard from subcontractor, Concrete pile on the grass, plastic and wood frames all over the place. My husband had to phone the contractor a day after to say come clean up –
Now that it’s clean up – it’s need to be pressure wash again and seal and as of today we are still waiting. It’s incredible the un-professional job he maintain. We phone, we email and it is part of the contract for him to seal it. For the amount he was asking which was $24,000 this is way too much. My suggestion – NEVER HIRE THIS GUY. YOU WILL REGRET IT. Mike Holmes is right and I didn’t follow his suggestion. Do your homework. I live and learn with my experience but you do have bad contractor or try to look like a contractor and this is one of them.
