About 6 years ago I hired Graig Gannon, the 'manager' of 'Custom Precision Homes' I needed to redo my shower with new tiles and a new glass door. He also replaced my vanity with a new sink and faucets. As I am a tall man with a bad back I asked if he could raise the vanity 3 1/2" so it would be higher and cause less strain on my back. No problem.
When the job was finished I actually gave him a raving review on the great job. But that was based strictly on the appearance of it. I soon realized that the work was poorly done and quite shoddy.
First catastrophe:
The threshold of the shower was not level at all. ( pictures following ) Water pours in, onto my bathroom floor every day I shower. Mopping up daily had become part of the routine.Over the next couple of years the baseboard near the shower door began to blister, peal and rot.
Second catastrophe:
I noticed about one year ago, very fine lines in the sink. My immediate thought was this: I bet the plumber miss calculated the additional 3 1/2" of piping when I asked for a higher counter and this is why it cracked. The sink doesn't leak yet but it will. After dealing with the cracks, I then noticed that the under mounted sink was actually falling into the hole of the granite counter top...separating itself from the counter. I can't find a sink that matched the one that broke. This will result in purchasing a new sink, have a new granite counter cut to size and the cost of hiring a contractor and plumber to properly do the job.
Third catastrophe:
The new floor tiles were laid diagonally. You can see on the pics that they are way off centre. Graig had the audacity to tell me the wall was crooked!
A few months ago I managed to find Graig Gannon on Facebook. I sent him a very pleasant message, asking if he is still doing renos. I certainly didn't want his lousy work, but I wanted to be able to talk to him, explain the shoddy work he had done and help me out some how.
He gave me a phone call and left a message. I returned his call and left a message with him to call me back. After that, I never heard back. I've called again and he has now blocked my calls. Same on Facebook... blocked there. So where is the former manager of 'Precision Custom Homes,' Mr. Graig Gannon? You can find him in Saskatoon. You can also find him on Facebook, as I did. Good luck to those he screwed over!
I still have his business card. "Good, Honest Hard Work" is their motto. The guy comes across as a very pleasant, soft spoken and gentle type man but that's clearly not the case. He's coward and he is not to be trusted. Below are the pics of the poor work. The vanity looks quite nice, as seen below. Have a look at the rags I have to put down every day, the level indicator...way off centre, my hand fits completely under the glass door on the left but I can't fit my index finger under the right side, the blistered wood base board due to daily leaks, the cracks in the sink, the sink separating from the counter top.
How do you sleep at night, Graig?
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! We hired them near the end of February and they took our deposits and then kept delaying the project. They provided us with drawings that were lacking in any information (like dimensions) and finally got around to demolishing our old kitchen on June 2. Again more delays. They consistently failures to respond to e-mails. Then we found them on a complaint board saying that they had gone bankrupt. We immediately e-mailed them again desperately trying to find out what was going on - still no response. We then called all of the phone numbers we had for them; all but one (Craig's cell number) were either non-functioning or going straight to voice mail. WE then had to threaten police involvement to get a reply. We were met with all kinds of denials about the complaint board. We asked for a detailed breakdown of every/anything that had been done on our behalf and gave them 2 weeks to provide us with invoices, purchase orders etc. regarding what had been done. The deadline came and went, and there was no response to our e-mails, so we phoned again. We got more song and dance from Craig. After more ignored e-mails and phoning him again, Craig finally "admitted" that they were filing for bankruptcy, and they "could not pay for any of our items" (how odd - seeing as we gave them a huge deposit!!). We were then told that we would be receiving paperwork soon. It has been two weeks now and we still have received nothing from them. We still have no kitchen and are out a lot of money and we are considering legal action. I actually want to put zero on all of the below options, but I cannot submit this form unless I give something! Craig talks a good game and comes across as very courteous and likable, but he really did nothing but lie to us and steal our money. We have had to start over again with another contractor.
Dear Trusted pros.
I was originally contacted by this client through your website at this point time I was the sales and operations manager for Custom Percision Homes Inc. Shortly after this project of theirs began, the company run into some major problems and I started to inform the client of these issues. I let them know that I wasn't 100% sure what was going to happen, I even at one point offered to have help them personally myself with all of my contacts that I have. Because I am not an owner of this company, and I really like the Client, I felt obligated to try to give them some sort of real help, I offered my personal services for next to nothing in return. So I felt like I lived up to my personal obligation to try to help these clients to best I could.
At this point I have no idea what is actually happened with Custom Percision Homes Inc. I have officially resigned from the position. I have heard that the owner is been in contact with the trustee and is looking at all of the options, including bankruptcy.
So I would appreciate it if this client could respect the fact that my hands of been tied, and I am not personally liable for any of the actions of this company.
Yours truly
Craig
