My experience working with DBD Construction all since 2015 always has been a very enriching experience for me. The Company always Provides Quality Work and Customer Satisfaction.

John is very talented and experienced in what he does. He has good eyes in design, colours coordination, and pay attention to details. I highly recommend him.

I liked his work, the floor looks awesome.

Took time to find workers for smaller projects, and at a reasonable cost.

DBD Construction did an on time and on the budget reno, John also made great design recommendations that enhanced the project. I recommend them for your Reno project.

I hired John Ramos /DBD Westcoast Construction Ltd on April 25, 2017 for my partially constructed home, the completion date was set out on October 18, 2017.

John Ramos knew my situation with the previous builder, but he repeatedly over billed me and double billed me by making up invoices and time sheets, I never stopped fighting with him for the invoices during the construction period, he left my job site with no activity at all for over 2.5 months, I kept calling, texting and emailing him, he didn’t care at all until my lawyer called him On June 27, 2017. On Sept 18, 2017, John Ramos abandoned my site.

John Ramos has no ability to hire qualified trades, he hired someone and caused more issues to my house, I had to hire other trades to fix the problem later. John Ramos abandoned my job site on September 18, 2017 and terminated the contract on Nov. 8, 2017, liened my house on the same day, John Ramos caused significant delay for my project, I’m still living in the rental house and paying the rent and all other additional living expenses and construction costs.

John Ramos took my payment for HPO, but he never enrolled my home for home warranty, he used my money paid his membership to National Home Warranty, the job started by the end of April 2017, the building permit was obtained in September until he hired a new site manager, basically he was illegally running my site without permit.

Despite I overpaid John Ramos MORE THAN $6600, he liened my house based on his own calculation of the management fee he received from me, and he didn’t pay Country Lumber (the material supplier), they liened my house too, they also commenced legal action against DBD Westcoast Construction Ltd and John Ramos personally, they also sued 11 people including home owners and businesses at Supreme Court in the amount of $49,321.57. As far as I know John Ramos is involved in multiple lawsuits at Supreme Court, I have two small claims against John Ramos DBD Westcoast Construction Ltd and his cabinet company called Westcoast Designer Cabinets at Provincial Court in Richmond, John Ramos took my cabinet deposit in the amount around $27,000, never gave me the cabinets and refused to pay my money back, even though my lawyer sent demand letter to John Ramos, he still refused to pay me back, I am suing John Ramos personally and his two companies.

John Ramos has been using his company to do the so called “business “, he takes money from people and never gets the job done, every time the trades ask him for the payment, he will run to the clients and try to take money from them in order to pay the trades, and some of the trades and suppliers never get paid for their work or the materials they supplied.

John Ramos also stole my house design photos and put up on his multiple websites and social media claiming that is his "recent project" to attract more customers, that is pure scam and fraud!

In his comments below saying I didn't pay 2 invoices, where is the proof? the 2 site managers left his company because they did not want to get involved in his scam, we ares till good friends.

John Ramos was the one using foul language towards me in his email and text messages, even in front of police officers!!! Everyone knows him call him a con artist, he always makes up stories and always saying he was trying to "help" people, all you can see his version of "help" is lie after lie, he even lied in front of the judge in court! I have all the evidence!!!!!

We had an additional bathroom installed, tankless hot water heater installed, office and bedroom enclosed, furnace moved and laundry enclosed.

With most renovations, plans change due to necessity or desire... issues that are so typical in renovations. John addressed our anxieties directly and caringly. He was accommodating to our needs and included us in every step of the work. His crew are courteous and professional....addressing solutions to obstacles in a timely manner. Our basement is now a practical, functional, aesthetically pleasing space. Our son was very grateful that they highly prioritized his bedroom.

Great crew to work with. I had a great experience. I would work with them again.

I am an interior designer and hired John to help renovate my own master ensuite. The project was a complete gut and rebuild. As a result, it had many unforeseen challenges which caused delays to the timeline. I have worked with many contractors and trades over the years and hold them to extremely high standards. John and his team did not disappoint. He has great integrity, is extremely responsible, a good communicator, does what he promises and will see the project through to completion. John and his team are a pleasure to work with and I have referred him to other clients and will do so for many years to come!

Whenever I have used them they have done a great job. They show up on time. They keep the site clean. They do above and beyond what I expect. They are very professional and their prices are fair.

John and his team did a fantastic job on our bathroom renovations. They did quality work, were on budget, were there to answer any questions and did it all in a timely manner. I highly recommend DBD construction and would not hesitate to use them again for future renovations.
