I found Dave on Trusted Pros and based on reviews from others and in meeting with Dave, I selected him for the job without hesitation. The job involved designing, prepping, and installing custom cabinetry for an existing built-in drywall feature wall for our home theatre. Dave is a very caring, professional, thoughtful, friendly, honest and genuine contractor. The job was unique in that it required a custom approach to 'squaring-up' the existing cabinet openings with custom made inlays by Dave in order for him to install the aluminum frame cabinet doors. I'm extremely happy with the finished product. I recommend Dave without hesitation. Looking forward to having Dave take on our new walkout bar project soon enough. Thanks again Dave!

DC Contracting worked closely with us to assess the extent of the water damage to the main rim joist that occurred over several years due to poor original builders’ installation of the dryer vent/exhaust hood. The problem had existed for over 13 years before being discovered and the concern was to find a safe method to do the repair without risking structural damage. With the experience of DC Contracting staff, the repair procedure was defined, estimated and executed within the budget and time agreed between us and DC Contracting. They were professional, friendly, effective communicators and thorough in completing the repair. They cleaned up the debris and disposed the materials after the construction, leaving the external area looking neat and tidy. We were extremely pleased with our entire experience and would highly recommend DC Contracting for any repair/renovation project to other customers. We plan to use their services again in the near future.

Where do I start?! Dave met with me in January after I bought a new older home just outside High River. We discussed all the things I needed done, he prepared a detailed written quote, and set aside time for this work. The work included replacing carpet with hardwood, replacing kitchen counter, adding walls and bathroom reno, installing a new kitchen sink, vanity and faucets. The project took more of Dave’s time because the subfloor was very uneven and he took the time to fix it properly. He also did extra add on work without complaint. Dave is very exact, ethical and honest. His carpentry and cabinet making skills are awesome. I am so glad I found him and do not hesitate to recommend his services.

My wife and I are thrilled with Dave's work. He was recommended by a mutual friend and we've used him for multiple projects now. Everything is done to a high standard and is on budget. Most recently Dave installed elevated Garage Storage and Kids Lockers in our mudroom. Very happy with it. Previously, Dave helped us with some last minute needs to help us sell our previous home. We'll be calling him again.

After having a less than great experience with a different contractor we came across Dave on this site and decided after reading the reviews that we would give him a try. We had already ordered the appliances based on what the previous contractor had told us we would need and Dave said it was no problem, they could install anything and work with what we had. The cabinets we ordered came in the wrong size for the custom sink we ordered as well as the wrong crown molding and wrong sized cupboards for above the built in fridge. I was very upset and worried because the cabinet company (Cabinet Solutions) told us they would order the correct ones but that it was going to take another 6 to 8 weeks! Dave assured me that he and his assistant Doug could work with what we had and make it as I wanted it. I have to say they did not disappoint, we are so happy with the way things came together and the quality of work in fixing the cabinets to be as we ordered them. They made the crown molding the exact way I had originally ordered them with materials that they had to cut from what we had and you would swear they came that way. They installed all of the appliances with no problems including having to rework the microwave drawer box to fit the microwave correctly (again wrong size sent even though we sent the specs) and move the ventilation for the new range hood. The tile work in the kitchen had a bit of an issue due to delays in getting the countertops installed. The tile ended up being too short on two walls and too long on one. We managed to come up with an edge solution that didn't require us to remove all the tile. Luckily the stone supplier (Laporte Custom Surfaces) said they could provide us with a new piece to accommodate the longer side in the kitchen. The fireplace tile installation went well. Dave and Doug were courteous and on time everyday. They even did a few extras like fixing and cleaning my eavestroughs and stabilizing the hand rails to the basement.

Dave came through for us again! Even though he was full booked up with work, he managed to make sometime to change our wall oven cabinet from a single to a double.

Great communication as it was completed over a couple weeks. Very happy with quality of work.

I have had Dave and Doug do work on two other home projects. They came through again, making and installing new counter tops in my kitchen and bathroom. Dave guarantees his work and is very thorough in discussing and quoting the job up front.

Based on the great reviews and work done for friends, we contacted DC Contracting to repair some hardwood floor and fix the leaking door that was the cause. Dave came over and evaluated the situation and juggled some work around to accommodate our small job (14hrs).

Dave and Doug were a pleasure to deal with and did an excellent job. Highly recommend and will be my first call on all future work.

This is my fourth renovation that Dave has done for me. This one went smooth like all the previous ones until while installing the glass doors on the tub. Dave centered the doors but that was a mistake, they needed to be more forward. Sadly some of the tiles were drilled into. So Dave like the honest man he is, tore out one wall and a tile on the other wall, replaced it all and installed the doors as they were meant to be. He did that all on his dime. Can't ask for better than that!

I have no more renovations for him but if I did it would be Dave and Doug hands down.
