Stuart came to my house in the fall of 2020 and gave me a quote to do my driveway in concrete. The work was to start the next year in May of 2021.
The following spring of 2021, I emailed him to ask when he would be starting work. He said soon.
Months go by with no word from him and no work done. I emailed again to ask when he would be starting the job. He said soon. I could go on forever but you get the idea.
Finally he just started ghosting me and never replied to any more of my emails.
My final email to Stuart was to tell him 'his services would no longer be necessary'.
Again, no reply.

It looked good for 8 months and has been crumbling ever since. It was done in 2016. I don't use salt on it. He promised many times to come out and see it but did not. He did also do plain concrete which has stood up but I would not recommend him to anyone.

Trustworthy and honest are not words I would use to describe Stuart Butcher. This man has done nothing but lie to me since the day I met him in June 2015. Although initially he did get the job done in a timely manner and I was happy with price. He has shown me that he is not a man that stands by his work and word.
The day he poured concrete at my home, it poured rain and ruined the concrete. He told me he would repair it, which he did try to do but only made matters worse. This job needed to be ripped out and re-done. However he never showed up. I talked to him just about every week and he told me that he would do the job never giving me a date. I even offered to pay half. I last talked to him about the first week of September when he stopped taking my calls. I now intend to proceed with going to court over this matter. The attached picture does not really show all the damage but it looks like it is about a 40 year old walkway. Faded and thin concrete and looks like gravel. Another picture shows discolouration.
