Discount Granite Plus

My mother had purchased a countertop for 4k from DGP. Her cabinets were damaged during install the counter itself had multiple scuffs as if something had scratched it. When she told them about the deficiency the installer said its a warranty issue. Well trying to get them to replace the defective product was a nightmare. It took months of calls and no updates and the customer service was very rude. The contract was with GDP but they kept putting it on their supplier to make the call whether or not it was a warranty which even the GDP installer said it was. Order the new countertop and then fight with your own supplier about it don't put your customer in the middle. Once they finally decided to replace it they didn't reset the plumbing on the sink and told my Mother to hire a plumber which was an added cost as a result of your poor job. Was she to not have a functioning sink for the 5 months it took you to set things right?

The way this was handled was very poor. I will never recommend GDP ever.

From the moment we met Andrina in the showroom, it was obvious she wanted us to have the right look for our small laundry room. We found an off-cut at a good price, in fact, $600 less than another competitor in Barrie who we had worked with twice before. We went with Discount Granite Plus and I'm sure glad we did. The installation was tricky, but the installers did a great job, and also did their best to keep the area clean from the door right up to the laundry area where the granite was installed with precision. We would highly recommend Discount Granite Plus to anyone else.

Love our new countertop but totally disappointed that the beautiful new faucet didn't fit. We were left looking for a new one and a way to sell the original because Granite Countertop took no responsibility for an exchange or refund.

I had my counters installed a few years ago and they still look like new.

I just went back in to the store to update my counters in the bathroom and the service was even better this time around.

The team is professional, friendly and very knowledgable and the selection of granite in the warehouse was amazing!

It was a pleasure to deal with Discount Granite Plus. Helen was very helpful in narrowing down what we wanted to do and the look we were looking for. So many choices to create your own beautiful look. We also updated our main bath and ensuite with beautiful off cuts that saved us on our costs.

Susan who greeted us kept us up to date on the progress of our countertops. Always smiling, always excited for us. Our installers were courteous and took pride in the work they did. A truly wonderful experience.

From the very beginning I should have run away from dealing with this company. First it took months for them to decide to do a counter top for me since they kept losing my measurements and template for my kitchen counter top. It was almost an arguement for them to come and do measurements in my home. When the counter top finally arrived the quartz wasnt even at once seam. I tried to get resolved but no. They charged me just under 5k for a counter top! They took me for a ride now that I know what I could have paid anyone else to do a counter top for me. I could have got a much better countertop for half the price. They even charged me $250 to remove and dispose of my counter top when I had to dispose of it myself!! I had a chip on the counter top from my mistake. They did come back much later and charged me $250 to fix it. They are 1/2 km away from my house!!! As they say chips are not warrantied but neither is thier quality or installation. Sorry we have to charge you again!! Not a happy customer at all. Run not walk away from this company. They say they care they don't. They care about charging you through the nose for as much as they can get away with. The owner says she will take care of things but the only thing she will take care of is taking more money out of your pocket. They are not concerned with quality and good customer service at all. Not a company with ethics.

I was going to have three bathroom done with this company but there is no way on earth I would trust these people again.

And now thier rebuttal is to save thier reputation and try to defend themselves by saying the price is paid is incorrect and they try... no they don't.

You want help it going to cost you $250 when you ask for help. It's not help when I pay you to fix a product that you installed.

I hope all stays away from dealing with you!! What a joke. Never again..

To keep this short, I am a local contractor and have used several different granite and quartz counter top companies in the past and decided to give discount granite plus a go. The lady who greeted me wasted no time and we dove into the back room where the cut offs were that would fit a 60" vanity where i immediately found the right stone (stunning mix of white and black, a truely beautiful piece of stone). We spoke numbers and paid up, but what i didnt expect was when it came time to install everything, the installer actually told me he wouldnt install the backsplash strip that he brought because it didnt look right. he came back the next day with a new piece that matched in colour much better and didnt charge me for it. That kind of service earns my business and i will be using them again in the future.

The day of installation of my granite tops I had to pay for them in full with my credit card. When they arrived, the island granite was a half inch too short, the sink cutout was cut wrong, and one piece of granite had a large gap against the wall. It took 2 weeks , 5 days before the company came back to fix the problems. I ended up with a sink on top of the counters to cover the sink cut wrong. They did take the island granite piece outside to cut the corners out of it to fit around the the posts on my island.They recut a new piece of granite for the piece that had a gap in it, but when you run your hand over the seem it is very noticeable. I emailed the company and told them that l think they forgot to buff the seam. I DID NOT get a response back from them. So although they fixed everything, l have a noticeable seam when l wipe the counters down. I also had no sink for almost 3 weeks and l had to wash dishes in the bathroom sink. So l was not a happy customer. I think that almost 3 weeks to fix mistakes was very poor customer service. I would be afraid to buy granite again after this experience.
