Donald did a great job with plastering our main room after it was reconstructed.

He made a big effort to keep our space as livable, and clean as possible during the 5 days he was here. He came to give us an estimate for the job, and stuck to budget.

He kept to his timeline, without rushing, and was very polite, friendly and trustworthy.

We needed help to paint as we had over exhausted ourselves during our renovation phase. I searched on google for local contractors and came across Donald somewhere and noticed great reviews for his work. We invited Donald to come and provide an estimate to paint our first floor with 2 coats and the walls and ceiling. Primer was already done. His price was very fair and was able to start fairly quickly. We accepted and Donald completed his work on time, on budget and with the quality we expected. We were so content with Donald's work and price that we invited him back to paint our downstairs at well for a secondary contract. We are also strenuously considering requesting Donald's services for upcoming brick and contract work that needs to be planned as he is also certified for brick/concrete along with general contractor work. We asked Surcanada to replace the front landing, driveway and walkways, with paving stones. Donald was very good to work with, he was reliable, trustworthy and helpful at every step of the process. The work required a building permit from the city, and he was flexible and helpful to work with us to answer the city's questions. Despite poor weather which meant the job took longer than planned, SurCanada consistently provided professional service, and we were very pleased with the end results. I highly recommend them.

Donald and his crew repointed the upper section of my duplex. I was a bit concerned about how it would match (or not) the 1950's pointing on the rest of the building. The finished work looks very good. He was clean and on time. His prices are also very competitive for the standard of work he delivers. I admit that I really hesitated because Donald asks for a sizable deposit at the signing of the contract and then again at the beginning of the work, which none of the other contractors asked for. I checked out his licenses at RBQ and CCQ and then decided to hire him even though I was nervous. I'm really happy I went with my instincts. He warrants his good rating he has on this website.

Donald at SurCanada is a great contractor. His rates were extremely competitive and the work performed was top notch. He had an ingenious way of securing the concrete form when he couldn't put stakes because of a pipe in the ground in the area. Cleaned up the mess as well. Fantastic work.

I was very pleased with Don's work on my back wall. The job involved rebuilding sections of a decaying brick supporting wall.

Don was on time, courteous and communicative. We always knew where the work stood and how the job was progressing. His workers were equally pleasant, and they cleaned up properly after the job leaving our back yard in as good a shape as it could be in after such a major renovation.

Donald has replaced our leaking garage flat roof of around 300 sq-ft, asphalt/gravel with a new one which is solid and a lot more beautiful. He was particularly careful about the quality of the work and did not rush when the weather condition was not right, which I really appreciated.

I'm planning to have other renovations, and I know whom to ask for the service!

SurCanada did a fantastic job rebricking the facade of my house as well as grinding away the years of paint on my window ledges and cement balcony. You can see that these guys like what they do and they do it well. They were chosen for their competitive pricing and great customer service. Keep up the good work!

Poor and sloppy work. He gave a very good impression at first, especially with his warranty and was courteous and pleasant, but in the end, the work done was very sloppy and poor. The color of the concrete was inconsistent and discolored, the edges of the stairs were crooked and the inclination of the steps not done right. Very amateur and unprofessional. I had never seen a bad job like this in terms of concrete step and balcony repair in my life.The worst part was that this guy kept telling me it's normal. Then he applied a tinted sealer that was supposed to help the discoloring and nothing changed. Then 2 days later, the color for the concrete completly changed to light grey, almost white color. Some parts were still wet and I went to touch it and it looke dlike some paint or conrete rustoleum deckover I'm pretty sure. Then this guy had the nerve to tell me it was the sealer and when asked about it, he claimed the concrete color changed 2 days later because that's how long the sealer takes to dry. You could even see some roller marks on the concrete! Basically, he tried to hide his poor work and defects with some kind of concrete paint, which was never mentioned or approved. I had to hire 2 separate companies who deal with concrete work and they both agreed the work seemed poorly done and had to submit estimates to fix this amateur job. Do yourself a favor, hire a real concrete/cement company. This company is not recommendable at all for this kind of work. A colleague of mine at work did similar work on 2 of his steps and it looked better then this guys work. His brick work seemed to be done better then the concrete work, but in general, I would highly recommend to hire someone else.

We are very satisfied with the repair work done. Donald and his team were very polite and always available to answer questions or messages. The repairs were expertly done, on time and within a very reasonable budget. I would recommend him without any hesitation to others. They will be my first choice the next time we need masonry or concrete work to be done.

We have dealt with many home renovation companies over the years, and SurCanada has been by far the best. Donald responded immediately to our initial inquiry, showed up on time for the first appointment, carefully assessed the project, and provided a number of options and re-worked quotes with a rapid turnaround. The project began and ended precisely on time despite some weather delays. Donald's team members were courteous, quiet and responsive to any questions we had. Donald also alerted us to potential issues that other contractors we have used in the past would simply have ignored. The work was carried out to the highest standard and the site was cleaned at the close of each day. We could not be more positive in our recommendation for Donald and his team.

We own a three-level multi-family building, which had brick in poor condition in two out of the four sides of the building. SurCanada and his team offered their services with a reasonable price for the job. The work was done in a timely manner even though there were difficulties due to the space available to set up the scaffolding. We are very satisfied with the work done.

Both Donald and Bryan showed up and Donald assured me that Bryan was his best man to do the job. I had this job already done by someone else and they did not use the right cement (mortar) and did not remove the bricks like Bryan did. After a couple of months later the cement cracked again and once I called them back they did not want to be bothered and never came back. Once Bryan removed the bricks, he notified me so that I could see if my interior wall had any water stains, in my case I was very lucky. Once the work was done, Bryan cleaned everything and made sure that everything was spotless. I would recommend SurCanada because they are very nice people, work extremely well and they keep their word on what they quoted you is necessary to get the job done well. There are so many contractors out there but a lot of them are not honest. Thank you Donald & Bryan for the great work!

Donald and his skilled tradesmen were extremely professional, prompt and did an excellent job on the stone walls in front of our house. It was a tedious job that required highly skilled masons with lots of experience. That results are better than new. I highly recommend this company.

Sur Canada re-did our brick facade and I was extremely happy with them every step of the way. I called for an estimate, and they showed up the same day. Their estimate was realistic but not exorbitant. I was working with the Ville de Montreal for a subsidy, which required patience for everyone involved and I found Sur Canada to be exceedingly courteous, patient and with excellent communication. Every time I emailed Donald, I always heard right back from him, and even with the followup paperwork, after he had been paid in full, he has still maintained excellent customer contact. I would definitely hire them again. I had none of the complaints you always hear about with other contractors. They are professionals that do a good job and don't waste your time.
