I met Duraroc Rubber Surfacing at a Home show in St. Catharines in 2015, and I am so glad I did. I got my front porch and my basement walk out stairs covered with Duraroc Rubber Surfacing and WOW what a difference!!!!. They look brand new!!! Since they looked so great I also had Duraroc do my large pool deck and they even did a cool design. I could not have asked for a better company to work with, I would highly recommend Duraroc Rubber Surfacing to anyone who is considering re-surfacing any concrete, stairs or porches. Thanks Troy , Bridget and the Boys at Duraroc Rubber Surfacing for such a great job!
We were amazed at the transformation. The cracked and pitted concrete now became a carpet of attractive rubber. Where the concrete would heat up in the sun and be too hot to walk on, it was now comfortable at all times, and we didn't have to worry about the children running and slipping. Our pool area is now like an oasis. We got to choose and blend our own colour combination from a wide variety of options. Our thanks to Troy and Bridget for doing such a wonderful job.
Duraroc delivers a quality product in a timely and professional manner. They stand behind their workmanship and warrant. While on-site the workers are friendly and professional. Troy will work with you to provide the best finished product within your budget for your home or business
First, you better ask to view the "Warranty" it will shock you, which they do not give you till after the job is done and when paid to an installer, since the two owners refused to be on site to supervise the entire job. The labourers are not professionally trained - no certificates. What they say verbally is not what they do. Fail to take safety precautions to safeguard areas from being coated with their materials which they refused to rectify. I paid to have everthing recoated (half price) and the workmanship was very unacceptable. They promise to return and still waiting from July 2014. I even went through a Para Legal (2015) they ignored all correspondence to perform the work. They stated they would do the work if I deleted a poor satisfaction report online "HomeStars.com" and still refused to attend. Also they do not tell you that you are responsible to secure the job site from being walked on by persons or animals - in is fine print of the sheet of the warranty.
Last year they were notified that the product was fading and it has really faded the parts exposed to the sunlight. Which I had inspected by another Niagara Company. Also they do not tell you that it has to be recoated, as I was informed by another Niagara Company, every so many years. They refused to power wash the stains on my interlocking driveway and stated they would replace some specialty step stones but still waiting. In researching, I did not find any or hear anything favourable about Duraroc from other companies doing the same work.
Duraroc boost how they are "MIKE HOMES APPROVED" yet Mike Holmes has inspected the work that has been perfomed by DURAROC - only a playground and the coating of his boat deck.
Troy and Bidgett will promise you the world but what they say and do are completely different.
The red flags started when I first made a downpayment with Troy and start date, which I called a week before and my home was never logged in to do. Then it was weeks later before they came with excuses due to rain and other jobs.
In closing, make sure every detail is in writing and I would check with the Niagara Company whom the owner will be on site and installing the product as well.
I know want a total refund of monies I paid and for legal assistance.
We supplied this customer an estimate on April 23rd, 2014 and on May 16th he provided us with a deposit confirming his acceptance, and at this point he was informed that the install would be approx. the 3rd week of June, pending weather. The installation took play on Saturday, July 5th due to the fact that we were behind because of weather delays and we normally work a Monday to Friday operation but in this case worked overtime to accommodate this customer.
The job was completed by our employees with Al extremely happy and satisfied with the end result. Later that evening Al contact us and informed us that a cat has walked on the rubber. At that point it was after 6pm and we were out of town and could not return so we went the next morning only to find hundred of cat prints all over Al's porch. At that point his neighbour advised us that he feeds his cats on the porch on a daily basis. The end result we offered to redo the entire porch/walkway for less that half our cost. Al agreed and we reinstalled our product only to have our employees return to our office with no payment since Al refused to pay them as he agreed to upon completion. We did finally receive his payment but on Aug 18, 2014 Al wanted us to review the install since he was not happy with a trowel mark. I must add that Al was interfering with our installation crew by sticking his fingers in our wet application and also tapping a trowel to a stick and touching the rubber while our employees asked him not to touch the wet surface. Our employees also contact the office to advise us that this customer was being difficult. I offered to repair the trowel mark but he wanted the entire area redone yet again. There is was no need to redo the job. I offered his money back but he refused.
On May 2015 he sent our office a letter requesting a endless list of demands to repair this installation and his driveway and so on, but refused to allow us on his property. This has been exhausting to say the least and on July 21st, 2015 I hand delivered, to his Paralegal representative a letter (copy to my lawyer) stating I would issue his money back since there was no way of making Al happy even though his rubber application looks great. But to date, March 11, 2016, I have never heard back from his Paralegal nor Al until this posting.
I am sorry he is not happy with his installation and I have done all I can do on my end but there is no way of making this customer satisfied. Today I contacted his Paralegal only to be informed that they No longer represent him.Thank you
