If I can prevent 1 homeowner from being ripped off than I have accomplished my goal here.
This company is an incompetent disaster rolled into a catastrophic failure. I have attached images of the RHI report we got done as a result of the long list of issues that the inspector compiled to backup my claims. He's convinced himself that his work is superior to that of a licensed tradesman when in reality he's an amateur at best, a fraud at worst. We license trades for a good reason to ensure a level of competency. Having someone act as if they are above the Ontario College of Trades is quite frankly outrageous. Just this past weekend we suffered a massive leak coming the pipes Evert installed in the walls. We called him and he refused to answer and refused to respond to our text messages.
We contracted with E & E to provide us with a basement renovation that included a bathroom. When we advised them the shower stall they built does not drain they threatened to put a lien against my home and call the city on me in an attempt to use the city as they’re personal hammer to intimidate me. As a result of his threats I hired an RHI to review his work and I have attached portions of that report for anyone to review themselves.
We agreed the plumbing was to be completed by a licensed plumber however Evert chose to do the work himself and screwed up the work entirely claiming he had over 16 years’ experience too, this is laughable. The tile work they completed looks so poorly laid it’s actually embarrassing to look at. We bought simple subway tiles and they cut them so badly you could slice yourself open on them. They’re all crooked and sloppy. To make matters worse he was about to install them on green backed drywall without sealing it until we asked him to apply RedGard. We were later advised that green colored dry wall is against code for use in the shower, it’s only mold resistant not water resistant.
Had we not sealed it the shower would be peeling apart in no time long after the work was completed. He’s just simply negligent and reckless. He could care less about the quality of his work and it shows. This is a company out to make a quick buck at your expense. There is simply no excuse for this kind of shoddy workmanship. He’s sloppy, inexperienced and totally unreasonable to deal with, a total disaster.
If I can prevent 1 homeowner from being ripped off than I have accomplished my goal here. E & E is not worth your time. If you want subpar work, multiple code violations and threats for demanding a working product, well then you've found the right place.
We constructed the shower for our disabled son which we advised him from the outset that we needed this shower built for. He mocked our family and left us with a disaster to fix on our own. Words fail me to describe what these people are and what they represent. I have chosen not to upload the entire report, however I am willing to do so should anyone wish further evidence to confirm they're level of incompetence.
To anyone else that has been duped by this company I hope you check out your own plumbing immediately. You don’t have to take my word for it, get it inspected and do so as soon as possible.
