I bought two windows from Elba in 2018. A month ago I managed to break the bottom bit of one window while I was cleaning the outside of the window. I called to ask about a repair. George was here in two days and fixed the window in 10 minutes. No charge! What an excellent company.
I ordered the doors and windows for my house and the house of Eda from Toronto. The service was exceptional, no delays and great quality.
What Eda from Toronto is referring about is her front door. The door was prepared as ordered (steel door) and was installed. At that time instructions were given to protect the door during construction but not to use tape as it leaves marks on the door. Yet, even advised to do so Eda's husband taped the door in a lot of spots and sure enough it left marks on the door. To make things worse Eda tried to clean it up by using the scratchers used for pots and dishes and scratched the door an those spots.
This is what she is referring to. However, the door was produced and delivered as ordered and after you can't really blame Elba for what they did to the door.
They replaced 4 exterior doors.
The quality of doors are good. Installation was also good.
However, they made a mistake on the handles. One of the main reasons I went with them is because they had handles I wanted, but I ended up with the wrong handles which I don't like. They couldn't be switched either because of the markings the handles would leave behind.
They were also about 2 months late starting the project, which interfered with other contract work being done on my house.
The other problem is and still is after more than a year, the weather stripping is too short...almost an inch. I've been chasing after him to replace it and still has not come through.
They're completely disorganized. Don't recommend them unless you're ok to deal with frustration. I'm not.
