Equinox Home Innovations is a locally-owned contracting and renovation company based in Saskatoon. Equinox Home Innovations specializes in quality home and landscape design and renovation, and a Green Building Renovation approach to home building, through the use of products and solutions that are both environmentally-friendly and safe and healthy choices for families (see our section on Green Renovations). As an integral part of the service we offer, we also provide expertise in designing your renovation.

We believe in and stand behind the work we do and know how difficult it is for home owners to find a renovator they can trust. In addition to being fully licensed and insured, we also warrant our workmanship for one year, and are affiliated with various standards-based associations such as Contractors, HomeBuilder, and adhere to the guidelines and standards of the RenoGuide, the Canadian Home Builders Association, and Mike Holmes Make It Right program. We are also a company in good standing with the Canadian Better Business Bureau. We also have a proven track record as evidenced by extensive references which are available to customers by request at any time.

We have distinguished ourselves in the industry by our commitment to Green Building Renovations, which involves striving for energy efficiency, safe and healthy indoor air quality and living spaces, and utilizing products and solutions that are better for the environment such as recycling and donating demolition materials, and using renewable resources such as cork and bamboo (see our page about Green Renovations)

We also take an integrative approach to home renovation providing home owners with an all-in-one solution. While most renovators act only as installers, requiring home owners to take the time to research products, plan, measure, take out permits, and shop for deals, given our years of experience buying and renovating homes for resale, we have valuable expertise in knowing how to plan and design a renovation, as well as the return value of various improvements to your home. We also know the importance of integrating designs into the overall look and theme of a house.

We don t fragment human health from the natural environment, or a concern for the outer environment from a concern for the living environment of the home, since products that are unsafe for the health of our families also, when scaled up, have larger, more serious implications for our natural environment, due to the toxins they emit, their inability to biodegrade in landfills, etc., therefore, our approach to home renovation gives attention to both healthy homes as well as to environmentally-friendly practices and products.

Equinox adheres to a number of standards and guidelines set by various international environmental and building associations such as Green Building Renovation standards set by the American National Association of Homebuilders, ReGreen Residential Remodeling Guidelines set by ASID & USGBC. These guidelines include the following principles:
