First off I would like to say we have a lot of experience with home renos and construction and good knowledge of how things should work. The installers came to install a new patio door for us and it was pouring rain and they should have put a tarp over the work area so that it will remain dry. I even offered one of our tarps when we saw they were proceeding with work in the pouring rain. Anyone knows that you don’t wanna have water going into areas that you’re going to be glueing and caulking, so this was my first alarm. Also, these guys never offered any information and we asked questions about certain things, we were shrugged off and told they are just installers. Well installers should know their product right? Anyway, once they took the patio door out, they were starting to install the new door when I noticed that on the corners the wood was completely rotten and Needed to be replaced. I told them they had to replace it and they argued with me and said no, and I said you will not be installing the store unless you replace this wood so reluctantly, they finally cut the rotted pieces out and replaced it. However, had I not insisted upon this they would’ve proceeded to put in a $2500 patio door onto rotted wood, which would have affected how the door open and close not to mention, it was just not the way to do things. Even with the wood replacement he put in it should’ve been glued and screwed, and he simply nailed it in with a nail gun. At that point, because of the fact that they didn’t speak any English you couldn’t communicate that and because of the pouring rain and my concern about them doing any worse of a job, I let it go. I also contacted their office and the girl there was so rude to me. I couldn’t believe it! She did nothing to calm my fears on my concerns and told me that this guy was her best installer. Well, I’m sorry, but I’ve had a lot of work done before and I’ve never seen such unprofessional people in my life, both from a customer service and knowledge standpoint. The other thing is the workers were wearing T-shirts for another company which made me them think that this was a side hustle… Meaning that you’ve got no back up. In the end they finished the job but I don’t think it was done right. They should have spray foamed in between some of the areas and I even offered my level because I didn’t see him using it… Anyway, the door is working OK but my fears is that this will come back to haunt us if something happens down the road. We did hold back $200 because there was dirt trapped in between one of the windows and a seal which was very unsightly and should not have been. When I called the office to tell her that she said don’t send me pictures because I’m not in the office until 3 o’clock on Monday because we’re closed, but then I’m thinking why did she answer the phone then if she is not in the office or if it’s closed? And what reputable company has their workers out on a Saturday which would be one of their busiest install days, and not have somebody in the office? Anyway, all of this led to much suspicion and I would absolutely not recommend using this company again.
Dear Sigrid,
First and foremost, I'd like to sincerely apologize for the experience you had with our installation team and subsequent interactions with our office. Your feedback is invaluable, and it's clear that in this instance, we didn't meet the high standards we strive for.
To address your concerns:
1. We believe that every member of our team, from installers to office staff, should be well-informed and courteous. I regret that you felt brushed off and that communication was a challenge. We will address this with the team involved to ensure more transparent and effective communication in the future.
2. We are deeply sorry for the frustration caused by our office interactions.
3. About the T-shirts from another company, I'd like to clarify that sometimes we collaborate with partners for specific projects, but it's our responsibility to ensure that any outsourced personnel meet our quality standards.
4. I can assure you, Sigrid, that we're taking your feedback to heart and will be using it as a learning opportunity. We're committed to continuous improvement and to ensuring that situations like this don't happen in the future.
5. We have tried reaching out for potential solutions and ensure your door is in optimal condition. We appreciate the trust you placed in our company, and I'd like to do everything in our capacity to rectify this situation.

Vlad was very friendly and courteous! Communication was easy and payment was convenient through interac. When the window didn't come on time from his supplier, he contacted me and we were able to reschedule with no issues. He came to do the work when he said he was coming and completed the work as expected. Thank you!

Everest team
Well, it's been a hellish 11 months. This company has been a horror to deal with. From demanding more money after the fact, to outright refusal to fix massive errors in their installations. The multi year warranty really means nothing if the company doesn't come out to fix or repair it. So at the end of the day, I have no warranty, was bullied to pay more than the written contract. (which I did not). Contracts are contracts and I refused to be bullied for extra cash. Despite the fact I did pay cash no tax, which was nice at the time. I feel riddled with regret I ever contacted this company. Basically the shakedown for more money and refusal to fix a MAJOR problem 4 months after installation. Do yourself a favour and keep looking. This has been the worst most unprofessional company I have dealt with to date in my life. I am 44. So I hope this rock bottom helps you learn from my errors. Contract seems to mean 0. So sad.
I contacted Everest to replace our old front and side door. Everest responded immediately and had someone come out within the next day to meet with us. They went through the whole process and explained what would be done. The installer was helpful and took more measurements to ensure the product was just right. The installation for both doors took approx. 5 hours. They were extremely detailed and cleaned every last piece of debris even taking away the old doors. They explained all the features and walked me through the process. I would use again for our sliding door and would recommend to anyone else.
Thank you JP. We appreciate your business.
