I cannot say enough good things about the experience we had with Chris and his team. During every step of the project there was ongoing communication so no surprises and job finished on time and on budget.
Chris's attention to detail is absolutely second to none, going above and beyond to make sure that the job is finished to his extremely high standards.
The job site over the 8 week period was left clean and tidy at the end of work every day.
Chris's team, Vern, Chris Jr. and Ken were courteous and professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with.
I would not hesitate to recommend Chris to anyone considering extensive renovations. We have future projects planned for next year and I will be calling Chris once again to complete the work.

Chris did excellent work in our house replacing all doors and door hardware,baseboards, adding crown moulding, building a cupboard and refacing the fireplace. He offered excellent suggestions, worked very hard and always left the place clean when he left. Chris provided competitive pricing and is a perfectionist in his work. He is sociable and we found him to be very reliable. Chris 'managed' my husband and I very well, when it was needed and we look forward to having him back to do more work on this old house. We highly recommend him.

Although this company has a few positive reviews on this site,TrustedPros, I have to doubt the validity of those reviews. Even though we scheduled Chris and his team a few months in advance, the job started with a delay. The IKEA plan that was designed by Chris was incorrectly measured by him, missing important bulk heads (which resulted in returns to IKEA and added cost), the kitchen cabinets were not hung level, the fillers cut raggedly with and incorrect saw, but installed nevertheless. The pantry was not measured correctly, and, as a result stuck out into the doorway. Their solution was to make the doorway fit the pantry, by narrowing the doorway, which was not up to Builders Code. They cut off the water pipes under the kitchen sink too short, under the kitchen cabinet,so a plumber had to come in to weld them back to normal height (after having to take the cabinet off the floor so not to set fire to my kitchen while welding). They damaged huge pieces of fillers which we had to get replaced at IKEA. After a progress payment - given in good faith, they slowed right down, not showing up at all on some days. A job that was quoted to take 2 weeks ran over, without any valid reason. All in all it was a horrificly costly and stressful experience. Don't bother with these clowns.
We are very sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the work that took place. Throughout this project we continued to do everything possible to work with you - including finding better pricing for you on material, and helping you with disposal fees related to waste that was not created by our job (leftover carpet from a previous job). In good faith, we began this job (on the date that we had agreed upon, as scheduled) without a signed contract or initial deposit, and continued to work for you even after your progress payment was delayed.
I would like to address some of your concerns outlined in your review. The original Ikea plan was indeed designed by us, but was revised by you. The bulkheads you mention were not missed; we rearranged the design, as you know, so you did not lose valuable space. The gabel panel was rough-cut to size and screwed in place with two screws temporarily - the cut end had to be finished and edge banding needed to be added so that the panel could be finished on both sides. This is standard practice, and was not to be left as it was but as you know, our time was cut short as per your decision. The pantry was not measured incorrectly. We were both well aware of the fact that the space would be tight, and on two separate occasions we sat with you to discuss our proposed options - to move the doorway over by 2' (you said no because of your budget, even though we marked down the work tremendously to help you), lose one cabinet (you said no because you did not want to lose any pantry space), or lose 1' of the doorway. For the water pipes, we used Pex, which does not require sautering. A licensed plumber would know that. You mention that there were days that we did not show up. We both know that there was only one day that the installer was not able to work due to a personal matter, and he was back first thing in the morning apologizing profusely. As far as misquoted timelines, you were quoted 2 weeks. There were delays with the countertops that you chose, and you were aware of this. The only other delay was when we took time out of our evenings and weekends to meet with you when we recognized that what you had asked us to do was not going to work for your space. We went over all options with you to ensure you would be completely satisfied with the outcome.
During our progression meetings, there was nothing regarding dissatisfaction of the work brought up. It was very unfortunate that these issues were only brought to my attention once the job was a day away from completion, but even so, I had offered to come and discuss, as well as correct what you are not happy with on countless occasions - despite not being paid in full for a completed job. We take immense pride in our customer satisfaction, and have a few weeks worth of emails on file between us showing that we tried everything possible to ensure you walked away from your experience with us as a satisfied client. Unfortunately you had already made up your mind and would not allow us the opportunity to correct or even review what you felt was wrong with the work done.
We do apologize again that you feel this way about FC Construction and wish you all of the best in the future.

Chris and his team were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. There was a great deal of colaboration and Chris has many great ideas around working in tight spaces. They were very clean and tidy and thequality workmanmship shows in the end product...a bathroom of my dreams.

Quick response time, extremely helpful, accurate, and reasonably priced is how I would describe the service of FC Construction. I would not hesitate to recommend them. While my initial call was for help when we discovered that although renovated in only 2009 (by a different contractor) my kitchen cupboards were falling off the wall. Within days his teammate Ken was here and he went to great lengths to discover why this problem existed. He found it and went about securing the cupboards quickly and quietly, with a minimum of mess and he kept the tone positive by refraining from making (well-deserved) negative comments about the original contractor. In addition, when I asked him to find a way to reinstall an additional trim piece that had fallen off, he found a way to overcome the challenge of its position so I won't have to worry about it falling off again. But the icing on the cake was his willingness to go above and beyond and help me measure and hang 2 very heavy and 3 smaller pictures. Thank you Ken and Chris for great work.

Chris did a great job with our kitchen remodel. He was very communicative, punctual and professional during the process. His crew was careful and respectful of our home, laying mats to protect our floors and clearing areas before working. He adapted easily to plan changes and the schedule of our countertop installers. He quote was solid and there were revisions despite minor changes on our part.
Our job involved installing a base cabinet, a tile backsplash, upper cabinet valences/lighting and associated plumbing. He brought in licensed Electricians to perform all electrical work. He provided solid advice on products and referred us to his suppliers which helped save $$.
The valence work was well done, there were some challenging corners because of the builders use of cover pieces but he made them all look good, he ran LED strip lighting under our cabinets and hid all wiring behind false panels that matched perfectly, and used false panels to hide bulky electrical in-cabinet plugs giving it a clean look, the tile work was very well done (straight set) and it looks great.
