IBC boiler has turned out to be DANGEROUS and unreliable. In the first year after install (11K), the boiler started pumping carbon monoxide into our home. It took months of work by First Call - each time an additional charge. Exhaust lines extended for almost a thousand dollars - ugly - and didn't work. Power modulation (battery backup) installed with service costs - didn't work. FIRE DEPARTMENT was called out to our home TWICE in the middle of the night because of carbon monoxide alarms - and it still took months. Finally CEO of First Call and IBC regional rep appear at our home. They say - we think we got a fix - and replace the motherboard - happens to be a KNOWN issue. That fixes that problem, but then the boiler starts acting up again. CEO who gave me his card and said - "Call me direct" - doesn't answer my calls anymore. We found a different HVAC/plumber who cares to respond, but continue two years in to have problems with eh IBC boiler. Heat exchanger has now gone. Warranty? Apparently not if they can find any reason to blame it on the install. First Call and IBC - a terrible combination.
