I had all the capping shingles replaced due to damage from the “big” storm.
Got Mike’s phone number from my neighbour who had used him and was happy with his job.
Everything was were clear and easy to understand from the offset. Everything was done very promptly and on time.
The shingles were hand nailed in. The crew replaced some wood that was becoming a problem. The crew worked hard and completed our roof quickly. Clean-up was thorough. Price was well below all other competitors.
Mike was clear and straightforward with all necessary details. Had no issues what so ever, he uses a number of sub contractors but frankly didn’t make a difference. Quality GAF material used and happy with the outcome!
Pros - Our crew of two men were always polite, willing to answer questions and took pride in their work. Thumbs up for Iman and Matthew! Paying through account was easy, price was definitely less than the competitors that have high overhead due to radio ads, vans with logos, etc. We had a wide range of shingles to choose from and we received solid suggestions. Bin and material arrived fast.It was outlined and very clear what we were paying for. Clean up was great. Our roof needed far more than "just" shingles, and Mike explained what had to be done and why. Emails sent to Mike were answered that day. I rated quality of work as very good because we have not had rain or wind since work was completed.
Cons - What should have been maybe a three day job extended to about two weeks. I feel the company stretched its staff pretty thin. We had a crew of two. I feel that there was some initial miscommunication between Mike and us. For example, one day a crew of three arrived and they said that they would be there all day, from 8:30 am on .... when I got home at 4:30, not a thing was done ........ when we called we were told that the crew was pulled because they did not have what they needed. Huh? Why were we not informed during the day that nothing was going to be done? We were already stressed and this added to it.
BUT ...... it has to be noted that our roof was started just after the huge wind storm that ripped through our city. I am sure that roofers all over were really busy and overwhelmed with new customers. I have to admit that if I owned a company, I would be stretching my staff thin too, to get as many customers as possible. It is a business after all.
From start to finish complete professional service with no BS.
I highly recommend this company.
Thank for the honest nice review.

Mixed review. The roof installation was done to a good quality at a fair price. However, the organization part was... disorganized and left me feeling uncertain and uncomfortable. The company name on kijiji, invoices and this website are three different names. I was notified 11pm at night, by email, that work would commence at 8 the next morning. I was asked to pay by taking photos of the front and back of my credit card and drivers licence. The paypal invoice was set up incorrectly resulting a delay between my payment and their receipt of funds. I received many frantic texts asking me to rectify their issue (which I attempted) but my guarantee and paid invoice was withheld for a month.
UPDATE AFTER RESPONSE: Completely agree with Mike. I gave 5 stars to Jordon and his team for the roofing work that they did. They were quick, polite, clean and the price was fair. I am confident that my house will be dry for many years.
Thanks for the review we take your input very seriously
To keep harlee very happy
We fixed the eaves trough as well as added a few more vents for free
As well as the accepted harlees payment 21 days after we finished the job
We have since fixed our paypal and you were advised that that was our first paypal paying client :) and will always be the 1st

Mike perform roof replacement on my house in Windsor. I select him based on reviews and (what was more critical) on a provided quote (actually $2K lover than nearest competitor). Work was done pretty fast and I'm satisfied with the quality. The project ran out of budget (~$1K) but still to be reasonable.
Hi my name is Ayman, owner of Aymans Roofing. I have been sub contracting for mike for over 2 years now and I appreciate all he has done for me.
I have sub contracted for a few company's, including Max Pro Roofing, as well as Halton Hills Roofing, and mike is by far the best at keeping his workers busy and paid well.
First class renos pays me for my work faster than any other company. Everything is done electronically where it is efficient and trusted.
Has my eaves troughs removed and replaced by Mike and his crew all in one day. Price was right and there was a gnarly amount of colours to choose from. They even fixed a small hole we had I wasn’t aware of. Very happy.
We hired Mike to do our roof in Everett Ontario. His price was good and they banged off our roof in 3 days. Being a contractor myself i inspected the roof and it was done properly, eaves cleaned, and property left spotless. He sent progress photos daily which we did like as well. Good job guys.
I was very impressed with the timeliness, efficiency and quality of the work.
I was very sorry to read the other reviews here since my experience was very positive with this company.
These guys were like a well-oiled machine. I had my quote within two days of the request, and within short order skids, bins, shingles and then the workers arrived. The entire job was completed in 2 days including cleanup.
The initial quote mentioned but didn’t include plywood sheets - as they may or may not be needed. My roof needed them for part of the roof so the cost was $1300 more than the base quote.
Overall I was happy with the work and the workers’ attitude, efficiency and communication.
I’m just waiting on a final receipt and warranty since all the communication with Mike was done via email, text and phone.
I look after a rooming house in London, the owner found these guys on a website and got them to come and repair the hole in the roof, they showed up in a small car with a broom, my first thought was, where the hell did the owner find these clowns, they went up on the roof and brushed the stones away ( flat roof ) and that took them 20 minutes.
left and told me, we will be back in an hour, 4 1/2 hours later they showed up with 2 x 1 gallon cans of tar and a bag of stones, i was on the phone with the owner asking him, where the hell did you get these clowns and told him what they showed up in and what they brought, he told me to fire them WHICH I DID ON THE SPOT, told them to just leave. then mike called me wanting to know why i fired them, i just laughed and said, are you kidding me..they showed up with a broom and then came back with 2 x 1 gallon cans of tar and a bag of stones, he told me he had been on the phone with the owner and they were to proceed with the job, i called the owner back and told him a few choice words. the repair didn't even last 24 hours and i had water dripping into the room along with the 2 cans of tar, the entire 2 cans they poured in the hole came right through and started to drip, couple of hours later, I had to pull the entire ceiling down because it was coming down. I called mike right away and told him, you need to get these so called "repair men" back here and fix this hole right because i have water and tar dripping into this room that was occupied. his reply, oh no, I will get desmond there right away, that's not good, he has 20 years roofing experience, I said, 20 YEARS or 20 minutes because what he did yesterday, I could have done that. that was the last I heard from anybody associated with this company, I called again and again, sent e-mails and it was all to no avail. the so called repair was a little less than a 1000.00 but still, approx 2 hours "work" for a 1000.00 if anybody is looking at getting work done STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY AND HIS CIRCUS OF CLOWNS. hope the attached pictures show, hole in roof, within 24 hours the water / tar dripping down, the damage it caused when the hole was left exposed when everything ran in the hole, the floor with the tar, my hand from tar dripping in. Just stay away from this company that does London and area.
Another non payor
Not paid to fix 2 small holes and has major issues we advised for the whole roof to get done
But the owner in california who only pays what he thinks is fair
Drive my this building it should be all redone or even torn down and rebuilt
We advised for the whole roof to get done
And they had a budget of $500 and paid us like $275
All the best guys sorry we do not work for free
I hired Mike and his company from First class renovations or First class roofing (this depends on the day). We gave him the order on June 1, 2017. Its now December 6th and he has still not completed the roof. We have requested endless meetings to review all the errors, there is several. We have made 2 e transfers approximately $8,000.00, we have not received a single receipt or a true invoice. We have only been sent a text message saying received. Our original estimate included a complete roof renovation with 68 bundles of shingles and eaves troughs for $7000.00 plus HST. He is now trying to finalize the job for a cost of $13,056.52 plus HST. We have today had a call demanding final payment, I requested that he complete some of the errors and he told me that if i did not pay him he would have his men come and rip the shingle off of my roof. He was very intimidating and I am not sure if he will do it, he has said his contract allows him to. We have arranged a meeting for Monday to try and resolve these matters, but this is not the first meeting he has skipped. When I asked him for his WSIB, and warranty certificate he got upset and just kept demanding his money.
Please don't make the same mistake that I did.
Is a tough client
Was a tough job he knows
He does pay we did get paid in full for all the extra work we had to do that I gotta say I hope he appreciated it
We saved him a lot of money I would say at least $10,000 we are happy he paid in full
But as you can see from his reviews he is a tough cookie he is our client and we will be there when he needs us for any work
Here are those reviews for your convenience you be the judge if he is a tough cookie or not
This company, and it's owner Mike Conzales are a nightmare! I have never dealt with a company so mickey mouse, dishonest, inefficient, in my whole life. We contacted Mike through another one of his companies - Roofsdoneright. This was back in July/17. We accepted the quote for a tear off/replace shingles, and e transferred over half the total quote for the job. Work was started two weeks later. Mike told us that he was crazy busy and that was why there was the delay. We accepted that excuse. When work finally did start, my husband had a question for one of the two guys on the team. It appeared that they were tiling over tile. When my husband made mention of this, the roofer went totally off side. He was extremely rude and belligerent and started to tear off tiles he had already put on. He had not double tiled. He then proceeded to yell that we were nothing but crack heads and sold crack from our house!! My husband and I are in our early sixties. We do not use crack! What a thing to say in front of the neighbourhood. I was mortified and contacted Mike to let him know. He said he fired the guy and would send someone else to finish the job. He sent Nate. Nate is suppose to be a qualified GAF elite installer, does excellent work, Mike told me. Now we were into August, by this time. As of today's date - Nov 30/17, the roof is "still" not done. I'd say Nate was 1/3 of the way done! So that's four months and counting. Whenever I speak to Nate about when he thinks he will be done, his response has always been the same - "don't worry, you are water tight". The treatment from this company and it's staff is inexcusable. Nate has lost his cool with Mike numerous times, and walked off the job.
I've sent Mike updates via email to advise him of what is going on, that we want the roof done pronto etc. I've also asked for the original invoice from the store to see if he's ripped us off or not. He refuses every time. I have no trust or faith in Mike or Nate anymore. As of last week, Nate told me that he is short on supplies, but Mike will not deliver them to the house. Which leaves us with a problem, we should not be dealing with. When I asked how the materials will get over here, Nate simply shrugged his shoulders and walked away.
In a nut shell, all I've gotten from this company, Mike and his staff, is major attitude, lies, bull****, con and manipulation. I would not recommend them to anyone. Looks like we'll be taking the court route as well. I've given Mike until tomorrow (Dec1/17) to get the roof done, or he and his crew can take a walk. I've got calls out to other in town roofers to come and see what they can do.
Do not trust this company!!! Do not get involved in anyway!! Save yourself a ton of grief and find someone who is reputable!
Try to get work for free never works out ever.
She hired a crew as they had I believe 400-500 dollars of work to do and she does not want to pay me $2,800.
Due to our delay I waived and agreed to accept $1,500 which barely covers my materials (btw she only paid $1,998.50)
I have attached the invoices for my paying client to see.
Here are the numbers.
Nvoice total copies attached.
#1 $1,893.30 home depot
#2 $426.93 home depot nate picked up
#3 $121.15 home depot nate picked up
#4 bin to be determined once weighted
For folks like this lawyers get rich
Please scroll down and see the invoices (pure lies strict non payor) I even offered to let them pay monthly
I live in a 2600 sqft house. I had several quotes to replace my roof, Mike's quote was reasonable and I decided to go with him. The team came on a Saturday and removed almost all old shingles, but then they were caught by a nasty rain storm in late afternoon. They tried to cover the whole roof and they had to leave because of the heavy rain. Unfortunately, we had heavy rain in the next two days, and so there was some water infiltration in the house and the garage. The team came back on Tuesday as soon as the rain stopped and they covered the whole roof to stop the water infiltration. Then they started to install the new shingles, they work really hard, believe me. They used first quality material.
At some point, I felt sorry for Jordan and his team because they were all on my roof, quite wet and cold and so I was wondering how could they work with their freezing hands. After the roof was finished, Jordan came back the next day to repair and repainted the (very minor) water damage in the ceiling.
I know the team took some pics, I don"t mind if they are posted here so people can see the great job :)
I cannot tell how other teams working for Mike outside Kingston do, but I can ensure you that Mike’s partners in Kingston did a fabulous job. Very good experience.
Thank you Mike, Jordan and the team, I appreciate your excellent work!
We paid this company in full for a roof to be done, this company hired two different crews from kijiji, the house roof was a disaster both times, his roofers on both crews left the roof opened and smoked drugs while our house from top to bottom had been destroyed. We have asked for a full refund and can't get a hold of the owner for three months.
Labour day weekend Zack came out to do my roof on the Friday. He pulled my shingles off and he put new plywood down. Then left my roof exposed like that for the weekend. It rained heavily in my house all the next night. They say they checked the weather and it wasn't supposed to rain so there wasn't a need to tarp it.
Mike felt the need to add extra onto my bill because why not right? He did volunteer Zack to paint my ceilings and use some drywall tape.
My walls are soaked a month later. The insurance company is taking their sweet time so I said Mike can have the damage fixed as long as it's not Zack. Who sent my husband nasty text messages. By the way. My husband passed away on September 21st suddenly.
Last I heard someone named Chris was coming over. Now Mike isn't answering me. So I have to call a lawyer. I need to sell the house. My kids havent had bedrooms in a month and I can't sell it until the damage is fixed.
Never use this place. It's a nightmare if they screw up. Oh and Zack left so many nails and roofing debris.
Update. Insurance helped pay for the damage. I had to get someone licensed and certified in mold. A lawyer said to hold Mike responsible for what the insurance did not cover. So I put stop payments on the roof until it's settled.
Mike sent numerous harassing messages. He also had one of his "subcontractors" to my door to tell me to pay up or they were coming back the next day to tear my roof apart. Which is illegal.
I wish I never ever dealt with this person at all.
Update... the idiots did not put the chimney cap or the flashing on my chimney so I had yet another leak! Which trickled down to my basement because that’s where the chimney goes. Causing a big hole in a vent in my furnace. Costing me another 5 grand.
To try and recoup his money this guy sent an idiot kid to my house and threatened me in front of my children who were terrified. You cannot collect a debt that way.
My husband has a co-signer like go ask her for money she has lots!
Lawyer fees? My insurance company is coming after you so really you are gonna be way too broke paying legal fees from their claim against you.
I’m pretty sure this guy is operating under another business name. So says a lot about this guy.
Another non payor. File in court.
Will send papers of payment received as well as my lawyers fees included.
See you soon.
Non paying lying client
I had given Mike from First class renovations…the contract to finish basement on April 2017 and it has been full of stress, nightmare, and complete disaster. It has been over 6 months and the job is still not complete, despite being promised to get it done in a month.
The work was stopped midway on May, 2017 as the first sub-contractor had no clue what he was doing. His workmanship was absolutely of poor quality, hideous and damaged our property. He never had even simplest tools, such as a drill, measuring tape, ladder, etc. I demanded Mike to come and see his work in person, but he never bothered. Every time Mike asked him to fix an error, he would get angry on me for complaining to Mike and finally decided to leave the job incomplete.
Since then, we have been getting various sub-contractor names where Mike promises they will show up to finish the work but never do. Many times sub-contractors have given us a day and time to work, therefore one of our family member takes day off from work and stays home, but no one shows up at the end of the day. Mike or sub-contractors do not pick up the phone or text unless I call from anonymous number. Once it leading me to believe he disappear with my money.
Months later, Mike told me to find subcontractors for HIM, because his team was not showing up to work! Since I was stuck as I already paid him 80% of the price, I started looking for him. He did not like any.
At last in August, he sent second subcontractor to finish the remaining job, but again the work stopped mid-September. Now, Mike is not willing to pay Will or any subcontractors and not providing required materials to finish the job.
Now asking me to pay remaining 20%. Keep in mind I have already paid him almost 80% of the price, despite his invoice stating that customer pays 50% of the money AFTER completion of job satisfactorily. Also used cheapest possible materials used and didn't put bate insulation in celling at all supposed to be medium grade materials to be used as mentioned in invoice. This breaches all conditions mentioned in his invoice
Now I refused to do so, as in my eyes, I have lost trust and all his credibility due to all the mismanagement and horrible customer experience. The invoice he sent does not have HST #, yet he is charging me HST. Also, address on invoice is somewhere in downtown Toronto, google and other sources such as trustedpros.ca states First Class Renovations 844-931-7663 Dufferin Ave, London ON N6B 1Z2. Something is fishy Due to this incorrect information and vagueness,
I fear that if I pay remaining 20% now, then the subcontractor Will and/or Mike will wash their hands and never show up to finish the work. He is the one who wrote in his invoice that customers pay 50% of the price AFTER satisfactory finish job and we have already given him 80%!
This company uses many different workers for cheap labor and doesn't get anything done right, he rips off customers and also his workers, he has no idea how to run a respectable company and honor anyone.
Now I am stuck seeking legal help to resolve this issue.
I will edit this if issue resolve..
Zak and Hank did the work and we couldn't be happier. Very professional clean up was great. Great price and completed on time. Mike answered any questions I had and Zak and Hank did amazing work.
Thanks again guys.
Thanks Jay. We appreciate the feed back after all the hard work.
First Class Renos
Very reasonable price quoted, was a little Leary after I paid the initial 50% deposit and no one showed up on the first day or the next 3 days but I never had an issue contacting Mike who reassured me each time and the crew was effective took about 20 hours to do house and garage, replaced rotted facia and plyboards. Left place clean and ensured no nails using mag sweeper. Roof looks great!
Thanks Andre. We appreciate the feed back after all the hard work.

Thanks Tamer. We appreciate the feed back after all the hard work.

STAY AWAY !!!!!!The owner Mike is not interested in customer's level of satisfaction, only getting paid. He will bill for things that were never provided, his workers drink on the job and lie to your face and attempt to cut corners consistently. You will never meet Mike as he does all of his business over the phone. Work schedules are disorganized, workmanship is horrendous. I had a bin stay in my driveway for 2 weeks after the job was completed, much to mine and my neighbours disapproval. Mike did nothing about it and finally when the bin was pickup, I was left with a mess that took 4 hours to clean up and take to the dump. Mike's work and the way he operates his business is disgraceful.
Kyle had came back and taken care of all your issues you had and you still got close to $2000 off your bill and you are still not happy...
After the fact that you had received close to $2000 in deductions stating the clean up you and your tenant did we did not expect this.
Well I got the impression you were happy and We made things right.
Kyle went over every single aspect of your concerns and then left after you were happy
We gave you a huge discount to begin with and and you stated you were happy
We got you covered for 10 yrs workmanship and you are with us for that period.
Here are some of the progress pics.. of how nice the job turned out.
Mike and his crew did my roof, they were very professional did a marvelous job, even my tenants notice their excellent work, I will recommend them to my friends and family.
I highly recommend this company. Thorough but quick work. Delivered everything they promised in the very reasonable quote. Finished the job in just two days. Full cleanup, and no interruptions to our schedule. Pictures provided of before, during, and after the work were a really nice touch. I'm already in contact with Mike to quote on other work we would like done in the house.
Mike provided a reasonable quote with the most comprehensive work in terms of materials whereby his quote included drip edge, ice shield and synthetic underlayment; meanwhile others didn't. He also used all Gaf materials which are considered to be one of the best in industry. Other quotes had premiums for using Gaf and including all the work that Mike and his crew did. He was very responsive and provided progress pictures which was great!
Thank you Iyyad
We really appreciate the review after all the hard work done.
Thank you once again,
I had to cancel their contract due to non-delivery. I hired this contractor for finishing my basement. Their contract said 3 weeks to start work and 4 weeks to finish the project. Mike, the owner asked me to pay an advance of $1000 to start preparing the design and plan. I paid the money and nothing was happening. Each time I followed up he said 80% done, 90% done and they are submitting the plan in a couple of days. It is difficult to catch hold of him after I paid the advance. He will not answer my phone, email or text messages. When I got hold of him by hiding my caller id, he was making another promise which was never fulfilled. After repeated missed commitments, two months later when I saw no evidence of any work done, I cancelled the contract and asked Mike to refund my money. After a harrowing and prolonged battle and persistent follow up by my relative, he finally refunded a part of my money only. I accepted that considering it is just not worth the hassle and stress to continue.
Simply put, this is a horrible ordeal and you will do yourselves a big favour by staying away from this contractor. Never touch him even if he offers to do your work free of cost.
After several quotes to put on a new roof, we chose First Class Renovations. They were professional and did an excellent job. We would recommend Mike for all your renovation needs.
Mike handled my roofing project in a professional timely manner, always easy to get ahold of and stayed on budget!
We appreciate the feed back after all the hard work.

Darrin and Cheryl, I had same terrible experience with these guys, plus after the roofing was done, my satellite was disconnected with TV, when I told Mike, he said they are not responsible for satellite pointing all they do just put the satellite back on the same place they removed as they are not in that business, Unfortunately I need to pay extra $75.00 plus tax to re-connect it, Mike said terms was clearly added in the invoices, but I reviewed few times, it’s not stated on our invoices, finally he said it added on their NEW INVOICES which I never ever received.
I sick of these people and don’t have time to argue with them. (unbelievable, it’s took 4 weeks to replace new shingles and extra week to remove the bin.)
I agree with Darrin & Cheryl, they are very unprofessional and untruthful. NEVER EVER DEAL WITH THIS GUY OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE if you don’t want to get stress and unpleasant surprises. It just wasting your times.
Regarding your satellite dish we are not in the satellite pointing business and do not have the tools to re point the satellite. We did put install it in the same location as it was previously.
And our contract state and I copied and pasted that clause
Thanks for choosing us to quote for your project. Please advise when you were planning on starting this roofing project as we are working on our schedules. Please be advised if we do not get at least a 3 days cancellation notice after booking us a $250.00 plus h.S.T. Fee will be owed. Please be advised we are not responsible for satellite pointing we will install it back as previously installed. "
From the day we started the roof it was completed in 4 days notes below of why there was delays
In regards to the time frame we have been going back and forth with your neighbor whose semi we had did as well as the same time we did yours to get all the extra and extra materials ordered as per their requests.
We had you scheduled and had materials changes 3 times which is absolutely no problem but it did affect our schedules to finish your roof as we had other customers we had given those dates due to the materials changes made by the other semis owner.
The bin the bin we contacted the bin to leave the day we were done and that is a schedule totally out of my control.
I think you forgot to mention the workmanship we provided you on your home so to note that fact I have attached some progress pics as we send all our customers to show them how things are completed.
And that all the systems are installed correctly please view the pictures to see the quality of the work done.
We also have a great warranty package and you are covered with us and we will always be there when you need us.
First Class Renos
Don't ever deal with this guy. Was given quote right away without anyone coming to see the roof.....was told once supplies were delivered that it would be installed in 4 days.....while 1 day short of 5 weeks, it was finally completed. Was told 5 times that roofers would be here, and no one would show up. Couldn't get hold of them by phone as voice mail was always full, waiting days for response to email address and again promised 100% someone would be here and again, no show. Finally showed up, two guys in a truck about 11:30 in the morning and they did 1/2 the roof until 6:30 pm, and left all the mess in the driveway on a tarp as they didn't bring a trailer for the garbage. Promised to come back the next day, another no show....finally showed up the following Friday at 11:30 again and was here til 8:45 pm. This was NOT a big job....its a modular home. They show up with no extension cord, no drill, no saw for cutout for roof vents, no sockets or wrenches which we had to supply for them and AGAIN no trailer for the old shingles and garbage. You DO NOT want to deal with this guy....very unprofessional and untruthful.
Terrible experience. I had no idea this guy was not local and simply hires cheap subcontractors to do all the work. The job took 5 weeks longer than promised. None of the rotten wood was replaced - simply shingled over. Underlay was not used on all of the roof and no drip edge was installed anywhere around the garage roof. He tries to tell me this is standard practice for a garage. All the eaves around the house were left full of debris and roofing nails and none of the flashing was nailed back in place after being pulled up and bent. Then when the job is finally finished (two guys show up at 9:30 p.m. on a Sunday night to complete the job in the dark using a flashlight) he demands full payment PLUS an additional $540 because he says they had to purchase 6 extra bundles of shingles. Why is it my problem if he made a mistake on his material calculations? especially when the contract says price includes all extra bundles! And when I asked why $540 for six bundles that cost $150 he tells me its for the labor to install them which is not more than an hour. So what kind of hourly rate are they charging for labor? I would never deal with this guy again and never recommend this company to anyone. Avoid at all costs!!!
First off I would like to say that this client did not pay his bill
Will crew only works for first class renos we do not sub out work unless we really have to a which is very rare.
And now I will address all his issues and supporting documents with pictures as we do this for all our clients
-pics of wood showing it is not rotten at all (I think darrin is trying to avoid paying his bill)
-pics to show ice and water as well as under-layment installed on the roof (same reason as above does not want to pay)
-garage we had advised client we have to replace the wood and he was not willing to pay the extra charges I have text messages to show that facts don't lie
Extra materials : it clearly states on my invoice and I quote
"If there is any additional materials required the client is responsible for the difference in payment."
I hope I have answered all his concerns.
And you still have a warranty with us once our bill is paid in full.
If you have any problems fell free to call us we do offer a easy pay plan if you like

That was my worse experience with roofing company.First this person promised to come on
June 2 and did not. His roofers (if i can call them like that) started my roof a month later, worked for a day and leave it with no tarp which leaded to leaking in both units, photo of the cealing lapms full of water did not impressed this guy and he told us it was leaking before he started. It took 6 days for them do the roof finally (it is small house) and his original quote of 4300 got up to 6700 because they ordered 35 extra plywood hits 50$ per each (It is 12$ in home depot) We could not start our interior renos waiting for this liar. Never deal with this company first class renos and its coordinator Mike, if you want to avoid stress and unpleasant surprises.
We did have a few delays with crew as well as weather but when we got to this location we had scheduled 1-2 day max.
As there was a lot of rotten wood we had to spend a lot of extra time to get this job done right.
I have attached a few pics of the finished product.
And thank you pawel for you input. We take all input good or bad. We have also noticed quite a few of our good reviews are tagged as suspicious.
I will copy and paste some with their phone numbers to call them and ask them about their experience with us
Mike stayed on top of my project even though we had rain and work delays. Once project was going Desmond and his crew were top notch in both workmanship and courteous crew.
Final result was a top notch roof with a slight project increase and excellent results.
I would recommend Mike and this crew for a top notch crew well below the current price for a roof.
Also Mike and crew used Timberline HD shingles a definite plus over IKO shingles and all promised other materials like drip edge, vents, ice shield were used.
We appreciate the feed back after all the hard work.
First Class Renos
Do not hire these guys. I have been dealing with Mike Gonzales and First Class Renos (FCR) on a nightmare project. We went through an unfortunate situation where the material was stolen from my property before the job was even started. We have a fixed price contract with Mike and FCR, in which they agreed to purchase the materials, complete the work and cleanup etc. for a fixed price of approximately $6000. He filed a police report after we discovered the material was stolen, and I assisted in getting witnesses etc., but he would not complete the work, nor would he refund me the 50% I paid as a deposit. I have tried repeatedly to get this resolved with him directly. He claimed it should be under my insurance, but he 1) wouldn't give me the name of his insurance company (I think it is highly unlikely that he is insured - as otherwise why wouldn't he provide the name/contact), nor would he give me a copy of the police report, 2) or receipts for the material or 3) or any other information I would need to file claim with my insurance. He continues to hold my deposit, will not schedule the work and will not return my calls, texts, or emails.
So I am filing a request for a copy of the police report through the "freedom of information act" as it was filed by Mike at FCR, so that I can at least try to file a claim with my insurance company (pretty sure it will be turned down, because it was not my material and I can't get receipts showing value).
This is all happening while my roof continues to leak, affecting my ability to rent or sell the property, or get other work completed. I am currently going to need to hire another roofing company and plan to sue in small claims court for my deposit of $3000, the difference between any work that I do with any other group to repair the roof, damages to the property from the unacceptable delay and the continually leaking roof and the loss of income from inability to rent or sell property. See you in court Mike!
I highly recommend you stay away from these guys.
Update: From reading some of the other reviews it is clear that Mike does not want anyone to be able to find his actula business or residentila address. Anyone that has it please it to me at email@example.com.
I dealt with mike specifically to pick out shingles, underlayment, vents etc. Mike provided us with the best material at a very reasonable price, with acceptional work. Very pleased.
We appreciate the feed back after all the hard work.
