Flawless Mechanical

We have used this company bf and were generally happy with their work. They completed a basement Reno for us. This project however was a nightmare. We agreed to two bathroom renos, some Molding and electrical (pot lights). During the Reno unfortunately mold was found. We were notified and walked thru the remediation and next steps. There had been one day where Misho the owner said he would be there and did not show up for three days no contact etc....we decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.....he said he was having the city come out and mold remediation and we could not be in the home.....fast forward a few weeks past when he said he would be done. We found our home in disarray. Things that were supposed to be put in storage containers were Thrown in garbage bags. My kids items, jewelry, bedding tossed in bags but with contracting debris....mouldy drywall and fibre glass. We had to point out that the Molding was chipped and had gaps.....our furniture was damaged and not protected as promised. He failed to show for another few days and said his mother had a stroke....again we empathized but stressed so much had to be done still. We paid in installments thankfully because what happened next was financially damaging. Our house was left filthy, garbage all over our lawn with no bin as promised, the project unfinished and he disappeared. We got a call from his electrician saying he was putting a lean on the house as Flawless Mechanical had not paid him. We eventually got a hold of his brother who paints who was unaware of the situation. We paid the electrician again..... He came back and finished the job and thankfully helped us find other reliable trades to finish. With the help of the brother and our persistence we got a meeting with Flawless Mechanical. He agreed he owed us money, he agreed the job was not done well or completed....again he had excuses.....he agreed to return and complete the job with no further money exchanged.....we were desperate no other contractor at that point was available, I was 9 months pregnant and we were about to put our house up for rent as we were moving. He also did not hand over the mold remediation info, roofing info, our house drawings or permits. We demanded this and he said he would bring two days later as agreed in a package....he sent two texts saying he was coming in the Wed and the Fri did not show up. He cost of thousands of dollars, damaged our personal items and cost us time being our own contractors, time off work, getting our rental rented on time, mileage Etc.

He was incapable of communicating with us and despite our willingness to give him the benefit he took advantage and cost of a lot of money, time and stress. He said he was a man of honor but that is not how he operated. Please beware.
