Genesis Landscape installed the irrigation system for my condo project. The system leaked in 4 units and never worked properly. They were paid in full but refused to come back to fix the problems. Very unqualified and unprofessional.

Scott Barkley and his crew arrived on time and quickly and efficiently installed the paving stone patio in our backyard. The work is first class and confirmed that Genesis Landscape has long experience in this type of work. We will be bringing them back next year to install a sprinkler system in our yard. Excellent value and workmanship.

Great service provided by Genesis Landscape. Communication was great, replied emails in a timely fashion, delivered the service very quickly. I'm really pleased with the result, and already referred their service.

Great service, constant communication. Showed up when he said he would or called when was going to be late. Never requested payment until 100% satisfied.Fantastic job site cleanup. Have had 3 compliments on the work by neighbors passing by. Strongly recommend

We had Genesis Landscape Solutions landscape our front and backyards. Scott and his team worked quickly and efficiently, and we are completely happy with the finished product! (plus, their price was one of the lowest of all the quotes we received!) We were disappointed, though, in their level of customer service. When they weren't able to start our project on the day he said (we later found out the reason was that they were running behind on another job), he did not contact us to let us know there would be a delay, so we arrived home after work thinking our yard would be done only to find that nothing had been started. Additionally, the team left some stuff by our parking pad in the backyard (big concrete chunks partly blocking our parking pad, planks, and leftover bricks). Scott assured us he would come by within the week to pick these up. It has now been two weeks and nothing has been removed. Finally, when I emailed Scott to express these concerns to him, he did not respond at all. I have also since emailed him again about picking up the concrete, etc - it's now been four days and no response.
Long story short, the quality of their work was fantastic and they worked very quickly, however our overall experience has been seriously tainted due to the poor customer service we experienced.

Complaint: Unpaid bill, very disappointing. I was kind enough to agree to do a website for Scott the owner of this company. He wasn't clear on the extensive work he wanted on the site. I felt bad so even though it was much more work and my cost would be as much as the agreed amount for the whole site, I wanted to make him happy and be a good person so I spent 6 weeks on it for free. 5 hours a day to help him, I usually charge $80 an hour.
I complete it and he sends me a 10 page Word document of more revisions and custom work he wanted completed. I knew his budget was tight so I tried my best to stay close to the amount we agreed. It ended up being 900$ over due to my cost on paying my developers to complete it. Scott refused to pay, acting reasonably I said minus the $900 extra and just pay me the original price we agreed, I'll take the hit to have a happy customer. He began over exaggerating the pricing and when I corrected his mathematical skills to the factual number, he told me to contact a lawyer. From his previous company Genesis Landscaping, this is common behaviour for Scott, he's ripped off so many people according to Google that he has to keep making new companies every couple years to get work.
I would not recommend hiring Checkmark Contracting Inc or doing work for them. Scott is clearly not a very good businessman or person. PS: I'm the second website company he's done this to for the Checkmark site.
