The following is in regards to an unresolved dispute between Mr Elmer Torres, the owner of Giant plumping and I. I have attempted to resolve this manner between us, without involving anyone else, but was not successful. I am writing this formal complaint, seeking advice or assistance in resolving this matter.
In March 2017 Mr Torres and I made an agreement for him to replace my hot water tank and upgrade my homes in floor heating. This was to be completed while my family and I were away on vacation. We agreed the work will be completed for a fixed price of $5000. Mr Torres took over two months to properly change and adjust the hot water tank, allowing hot water to flow to my entire house. Throughout these months my family was without hot water for most of the time, intermittently receiving small bursts of hot water. It should be noted that this work was completed during the spring and into summer months. Because of the time of year I had no use for my in floor heating, until the recent cooler temperatures. I assumed the in floor heating was working correctly. When I turned on my in floor heating it was very apparent this was not the case as it shot my basement up to a scorching 30 degrees. We then turned off the in floor heating, prompting another problem to arise. When the basement heating is turned off, so In turn is the upstairs. My dilemma is now to have an unbearably hot basement with a liveable upstairs or have a freezing cold house throughout. I have contacted Mr Torres on numerous occasions with his response claiming the amount we originally agreed on is now too low for the work now required. He openly challenged me telling me "Do whatever you want I do not care". It is hard to translate on paper the sheer ignorance in his voice when he made that statement, which made the situation that much more frustrating.
It is my wishes this review be made public in an attempt to warn other potential persons from hiring Mr Torres -Giant plumping ltd. will not being left in a similar situation. I have built numerous houses for rental and sale, including my own. Throughout this I have dealt with numerous plumbing companies some bad, but most were very good to deal with. This is not the case with Mr Torres and Giant Plumbing.
Thank you for your time, I look forward to your response and a positive outcome to my plumbing issues.
Regards
Anthony L
