Beware!
Global Interior Inc, Eugene (Evgeni) Lukovskiy (CEO) & Vitaly Lubimov (Director of Operations are not BBB accredited.
This company was contracted as a one stop management for a total condo reno. We emphasized that workers were to be professional, accredited & licensed. Never received that confirmation.
These individuals were very friendly in the beginning. As each phase of the reno approached there was a request for payment. Payments were made along with requests for detailed invoices for each phase. That did not happen. Mid Oct 2023 was the target date for completion of the reno. As the project advanced it became harder to contact them. Their disappearance turned into months. It has been 4 months since we received any communication from them.
We expected a qualified, licensed plumber to perform the necessary adjustments & installation of required plumbing. Noted during the reno that toilet drains, shower & tub drains & sink drains were left uncapped.
On Oct 26, 2023 there was a plumbing disaster. An unplugged drain spewed water in the kitchen. Global (Lubimov) was contacted but would not help. Not professional plumbing. Unscheduled cost incurred ($2708.30) which Global refuses to pay.
There was also electrical errors.
Commitment By Global - quoted by Lukovskiy
At our company, we hold ourselves to the highest standards & ensure that our trades people are well trained & experienced. It is important to note that our plumber is fully licensed & insured, meeting the requirements set by the condo board. During my conversation with Cheryl on Friday, we discussed the inclusion of a detailed breakdown in all future invoices. (never happened)
Our primary objective is to deliver a top-quality product that you & your family will thoroughly enjoy.
Rest assured that all of our team members possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in their respective fields
In fact, the entire experience has been so bad.
If Global was the last renovation contractor on earth I would not hire them to reno an outhouse.
Deficiencies have not been addressed.
Rebuttal from Global Interior Inc. dated Feb 17, 2024 noted.
The contract. Is there in fact a legal contract? We have never received a dated and signed contract from Global, anyone of the company executives nor the CEO.
Further, the suspect contract does not have a full breakdown for transparency.
Licensed professionals. This is questionable. Global provided a Certificate of Liability Insurance and a WCB clearance. There is no proof of accredited and licensed professional workers sent to the condo board, management or us. In some cases the skills are questionable concerning the work being done.
The water intrusion is directly caused by incompetence/negligence by a Global worker. The uncapped drain pipe is not allowed. Had the drain pipe been properly capped there would have been no water intrusion regardless of where a clog was located. Yes, the plumber did find a clog but also stated that the uncapped drain pipe is improper plumbing procedure, a gross error. Global, being the contractor of record, you are responsible for the day to day operations of the renovation. You are responsible for your workers. Had we not been present at this time the results would have been disastrous.
Further, it was verbally stated that all shut-off valves would be replaced in accordance with the contract. This did not happen as only some were replaced. And, some of the replacements became defective and had to be replaced. This places your 'WORD' and 'GOOD FAITH' in doubt.
From the beginning we informed Global that we were extremely particular and continue to have high expectations of what type of work would be performed. You (Global) were often reminded of that during the renovations. After each phase we requested a walk through inspection with you which was never received. There is to be a walk through inspection when the project is finished. Still waiting as the project is incomplete 4 months after the scheduled completion date of mid October 2023.
At each phase you requested payment which was delivered. We responded that we required a DETAILED/ITEMIZED invoice identifying all material and labor. Never received.
Sept 3rd - a list of deficiencies was sent to you and there was no follow-up. You did say to each out to you to ensure success of the project. No response.
Sept 11th - when wiring the plug for the micro wave there were bare wires that should have been encased in armor cable then attached to the plug receptacle. As well, a GFI plug was installed for the micro wave which is not allowed. After your workers started on the electrical there were faults found and lights would not work properly. Breakers were tripped. Due to this a licensed electrician was hired to repair/correct the faults.
Nov 19th - list of deficiencies sent to you; you stated that you would look at them later in the week. Never heard back from you. Some of the deficiencies are missing shelves in the kitchen cabinets which you were checking with the supplier; still have not heard anything. We asked for the cabinet maker so that we could order a soft close mechanisms for a broken one on a drawer. Never heard from you again, had to go and purchase a soft close. The medicine cabinet in the main bath still needs finishing. Some baseboards were not attached and the corner cuttings are sloppy.
You verbally agreed to install two tower shelf units in two closets and that each would have a horizontal shelf; towers received but no shelves. This was agreed to and sealed with a hand shake. We asked for a separate detailed invoice for these towers. Never received. Where is you 'good faith'?
Second bath had a porcelain tiled walk in shower installed. Requested an invoice for this portion of the reno. Never received. It should be noted that the tiles in the shower are of two different dye lots. As is the case in the main bath. Some billing adjustment (reduction) is warranted.
Painting leaves a lot to be desired. Paint cans and brushes/rollers were left in a pail of cold water and at times over a weekend. All imperfections were not repaired as was indicated in 'the contract'. In some areas the walls were improperly sanded. We saw the painter 'cutting' at the ceiling using a large dry wall spatula and splashing the paint along it; not professional.
Plumbing - a toilet was plugged when one of your workers tried to flush cardboard down the toilet.
On a positive note the following:
Flooring is good. Some areas did not receive leveling compound. Lack of attention to detail.
Bathroom tiling is good except that there ae two different shades of tile; not from the same dye lot. Billing adjustment required to rectify.
Cabinets and vanities. Pleased with the quality except for the installation; some mounting screws are not fully installed and there are sharp screws on the inside mounting that can cause sharp cuts if not careful.
You always state that you want to resolve these problems amicably. How can you do that when you do not respond other than negatively with hints of intimidation?
After all of our attempts to reach a satisfactory resolution for both parties we submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. You never responded to them even after 30 days. This was done in order to generate a response from you to deal with the deficiencies. Again, no response.
We have, in the past, proposed resolutions to repair all deficiencies and pay monies owed to us. Once again we propose:
1. A walk through inspection with Eugene Lukovskiy and Vitaly Lubimov to identify deficiencies that need to be addressed and develop a plan to fix them.
2. Come to a harmonious agreement as to costs for purchases and billing adjustment.
We feel that matters ground to a halt following the water intrusion on October 26th. We called Vitaly Lubimov, Director of Operations, to inform him of the water disaster seeking his assistance. He did nothing to help us. He kept saying not to cap the pipe. Everything was left to us. Vitaly should have been right over as Director of Operations to assist. We did call Eugene, who has moved to Calgary, who directed us to a certified plumber.
The next time we heard from Vitally was a telephone call on Dec 12th wanting to take pictures of a 'good job'. He was informed that we are more than happy to accommodate once all of the deficiencies were corrected and monies owing are paid. Never heard back from him.
This speaks volumes about the professionalism that is so often quoted in Global's advertising pamphlets and our received emails.
We have put forward proposals many times as to how to resolve this matter. You have chosen to ignore those suggestions and have failed to offer any solutions.
Be aware of the phrase that Global often used with us numerous times: 'Don't Worry'.
Now, the ball is in your court, Global. What is your meaningful proposal?
Dear Brian and Cheryl,
We regret to see that you are not satisfied with our services. However, we must address some inaccuracies in your review.
Firstly, your contract clearly outlines all charges with a full breakdown for transparency.
Secondly, all work was conducted by licensed professionals, and we provided documentation to your condo board as per regulations.
Thirdly, the leak in your unit was a result of a clogged drain from your downstairs neighbor, as confirmed by a plumbing report.
Fourthly, damages caused by external factors such as this are not covered by our warranty.
We have initiated an investigation into the matter, including verifying if your neighbor holds any position within the condo board.
We have offered to resolve this matter through legal means, should you choose to pursue it. However, your actions constitute defamation and attempted insurance fraud, which we take very seriously.
We hope to resolve this issue amicably, but we are prepared to pursue legal recourse if necessary.
Alex and his crew did a fantastic job for us. We needed to replace our bathtub and the tile around it. They were very professional, came every day, completed the work, one tradesman after the other came in, did their part and with 5 days it was completed.
We had new flooring put in upstairs and down and we commissioned Alex and his men to do our baseboards, they look beautiful and each flooring area took a day.
Thank you for everything, would recommend them for your renovation project.
Excellent work on the reno of our basement from ceiling, bathroom, and kitchenette. The workmanship was excellent, quality of material superior and the jof was professionally done and finished on time. We would not hesitate to use Vitally and his group again. Thank you very much for the prompt and courteous service.
Marilyn & Roger
My husband and I recently bought a house with an unfinished basement. A friend of ours recommended Global Interior Inc based on the reviews they have online. We are very fortunate that we entrusted them with our basement construction. Eugene and Vitaly gave us the best value for money basement. We are really happy with the finished basement it really complemented and enhanced the existing structure. They are professional all throughout the construction period and even after the project was turned over to us we can still call them if we have concerns. We highly recommend them and give them more than 5 stars for experience, reputation, flexibility and ability to listen to what we wanted. They even gave us free services that were not included in the contract like the backsplash in our kitchen (it made our kitchen look good and spacious), they changed the doorknobs for free and did some baseboard repairs in the existing washrooms. We highly recommend them! Thank you so much guys for delivering on time and giving us a fab basement :)
From the first meeting we liked that Evgeniy and Vitaly had a good idea of how to maximize the basement space to suit our needs. Also, Evgeniy was able to come up with good design solutions that exceeded our expectations. The project was completed on time without additional or hidden fees. The workers were professional and were able to adjust their work to our little baby schedule. Vitaly has been easy to contact any time we had questions or inquiries on the project update. At the end, everything was cleaned thoroughly. The result was simply stunning - highly recommend!
Thank you Diana and Michael
That was pleasure for us to work with you
Global Interior provided excellent work renovating our kitchen. The demolition, flooring, painting, cupboards, plumbing, electrical, back splash & finishing. Our house is close to 100 years old which is a challenge. The workers were all very polite and professional especially Vitaly. We will use them again and have recommend them as well.
Thank you Marilyn

PLEASE BEWARE! “Global Interior” is not accredited with BBB and has never provided any legal documents or licenses to prove their advertised legality and 20 years of experience in construction.
This operation run by two individuals, Eugene Lukovsky and Vitaly Lubimov on “We will beat any competitor quote” home renovations and decoration ads found on local Winnipeg Kijiji website.
The same scenario seems to be reappearing over and over again, find unsuspected client, offer renovation services at discounted competitive rates, obtain large lump sum deposit (preferably in cash) to “secure the schedule for the project” and play “hide and seek” game with disappearances lasting weeks, turning into months of no construction activities. These two individuals, rarely do any work themselves and subsequently find the handyman or other friends or acquaintances to complete tasks for them by over-inflating the charges and paying significantly less to their “subcontractors”. Communication and interaction with clients virtually non-existent and always about another excuse for significant delay or blame anyone else but themselves. At times when clients reach the boiling point and demand money back, the response always comes to the point of no refunds and demands on the next “scheduled payment” in order to move forward. Gaining financial apprehension over clients and manipulation by placing people in the position between "Rock and the hard place" is the name of the game.
Please make your choices wisely before handing over your hard earned money to these people, otherwise, you will find yourself left high and dry with piles of garbage and unfinished project.
