Beware!!!! Mr. Gary Warnock now has changed his business name to Honest Roofing Company. Nothing honest about him!! Hired him to do bathroom Reno’s at our cottage. He tore the place apart and abandoned the job after 2 days. Took the deposit and ran. Clearly didn’t know what he was doing as there was evidence of broken flooring everywhere from his lame attempts to cut. Took the liberty of going into our kitchen cupboards to use our bowls to hold old plumbing pipes etc. Very unorganized, equipment and tools everywhere not to mention his empty coffee cups and pop bottles he left strewn about. Didn’t cover up furniture or our carpeted floor, there was mud, dust and dirt throughout the cottage. He also popped out the window screens and just left them out front. I could go on and on about how negative an experience this has been. Now we have to try and hire someone else to finish the job. Long story short, if you ever come across the name Gary Warnock just consider yourself warned. He lives in Innisfil now. Legal process is now in the works. I would love to connect with other people who have shared similar experiences!!!! The photos which I have added are only a small depiction of his “workmanship”.
I'm disappointed with the work done by Global. Had my roof redone 2 years ago. Everything looked fine. I now have a serious leak into my home and will need to fix my bathroom. I have had quotes from two contractors. They told me the that the previous roofer cannot have been a real roofer and the installation was below standards. The roofer had not put any flashing around the chimney, pipe vent and skylight just a thick application of caulking that is now dried out and leaking. Gary is a nice gentleman but he was obviously taking shortcuts. Make sure you nail down exactly what you are getting if you hire this company.
Holes left all around shed where the siding was not completed. Did not have a clue as to how to build a door. No step installed yet 10 inches above the ground. The nails that should have hit the 2 X 4 frame to attach the plywood, 80% of the nails did not hit their mark.
AND the address that is on this website is not where he actually lives, apparently he lives somewhere in RIchmond Hill now.
Did not finish job, what was done was substandard, roof leaks, claimed to have ordered material which never showed up. He is paid in full and he owes others in town some of which want payment from me. Now must hire someone to repair and finish roof. I am retired with a parent with MS, this guy has destroyed my life and a message on his phone says he is on vacation ( my guess spending my money). Legal actions are in the works.
This the worst company I have ever dealt with run if you can't walk away. The owner took my deposit of $5000 and as soon as he received it he never worked again. He was in my backyard for a month and left my backyard looking like a war zone. His tools were everywhere and he did not know what he was doing. He uses interior nails on the little bit of work he did and they rusted out before the week was out. He did electrical work claiming to be a licensed electrician which I find hard to believe that was also shoddy. He left my materials in the rain so they all became twisted and ruined. I am having to pay over $25,000.00 to repair the damages he caused. At the begining of the job I told him that I am a senior citizen and I do not have much money but he insisted I give him $5000.00 up front or he would not start the job. Since my Mother was suffering with dementia I was afraid she would have an accident getting out on the unfinished deck so I gave him the money....he came removed his tools and I never saw him again. This is fraud and I bet he has done it to many people before. I will be suing him for damages and for my intial deposit back.
