We had our old hot water tank blow and Green Approved Solutions Inc. not only responded quickly on a weekend, but ensured we were booked for a tankless water install on Monday. The team came and installed the tank within a day. It's a messy job but it got done. We had a minor leak at a connection point after the install and their response was very fast and got fixed. I would easily recommend them for tankless water heater installation.
I have dealt with Anthon for almost 3 years. He is a very reliable and upfront person. He organised the jobs and they were completed on time and efficiently.
If anyone is looking for heating / ac work for their home or office, I would highly recommend Green Approved. They are very excellent.
I am very disappointed with the service I received from the Green Approved Solutions Inc.
From the start of the process, the company representative name Jason provides poor customer service. The most unprofessional is that he overspeeks at the customer. The furnace that he wanted to install was undersized for our home, and he rudley tried to tell us that we did not need a larger one and that our home's square footage was incorrect. He was extremely pushy trying to get us to sign a contract that we did not understand and it felt like they were trying to take advantage of a senior citizen. The contract was signed because my husband was pushed to do so and I was busy at that moment. When I approached asking questions he was disrespectful and confused me. The overall workmanship was also extremely poor. My drywall was damaged from their careless installation (which they did not repair), they failed to reinstall drywall removed for the installation, dust and debris was left everywhere, and they failed to properly dispose of leftover materials. They installed new parts of the aluminium duct to the existing structure and even that is not properly sealed with the duct tape and some areas are just covered with my own insulation. The filter part of the furnace was not exchanged for the new one and the disposable filter was left dirty. Installer informs me that it doesn't have to be changed because it is clean where the picture shows the proof. The thermostat that was provided by GAS Inc. was that same kind and value like builders were instaling 20+ years ago. Isn't that a shame for that company?
I was also told that they did me a favour coming and installing a furnace in two days. Joke, it was not -20*C, so why was that rush? (Oct. 07, +20*C)
At first my furnace was not broken, only the newly installed thermostat didn't work and that's why we invited contractors to our home. GAS Inc. should only look at the thermostat installation and fix and provide an estimate for a new furnace that we could consider in the near future.
We had two other offers from different local competitive companies where I learned my experience.
I was extremely unhappy with them, and they do not even deserve the one star they are getting. Would not recommend them to even my worst enemy.
Hoping that pictures will speak for itself.
Hi Jolanta
We are very sorry you feel that way and we tried all the following at no extra cost to make you happy at the day of install
A) Furnace size: The furnace we brought matched your existing size furnace. You asked us to put bigger when its unnecessary but at the end we still did!
B) Sale pushed: When a tech came by and saw your previous 21 year furnace with wiring all removed by homeowner (not professional) which wasnt getting any electricity. He suggested a new more efficient 2 Stage variable speed Furnace or a repair to a new thermostat. You wanted new furnace and told us to install Saturday 3 days later (you also had previous quotations for new furnace from other companies which we beat by over $1000)
Even on day of install you still weren't happy so we said that we will cancel the job and come back when you ready with no penalty You said no to go ahead with install.
C) Old Filter: We brought you 3 new filters for free to change through out the year
D) Drywall: we had to break a piece of drywall to change the piping to PVC as explained during the process its code and we are not drywall people.
E) Thermostat: The thermostat we installed was a free thermostat as previous unit was ripped out by homeowner
D) Air leak: We have a 24 hour policy for any issues after install. Small air leaks could happen. Please call us and we will send tech asap to fix the tape
There is only so much we can do and we do apologize for any inconvenience
Technicians name was Mike and Jason was the sales person. Great experience they knew exactly what my new house needed to get the Enbridge rebate. Changed my furnace and tankless and called back a week later regarding the fireplace. Job was done in 2 days and everything works great. Definitely recommend them in the future also looking into an air conditioner later in the spring.
Hi Elan
Thank you for the positive review. Mike is one of our main technicians, we will give you a combination discount in spring for the new Air Conditioners. Also due to the review call us for your first furnace maintenance for free.
Here is a timeline of facts for this review on an electric furnace -
A/C installation by Green Approved Solutions
Green Approved Solutions was chosen from 3 companies RFQ
Jason quoted on two devices, one of which brand we knew
Short time after signing Jason informed us the unit we knew of couldn't do what we needed. we went with the alternate (this was the first of the
many "I'm sorry" from Jason)
Installation day: GAS showed up with an, apparently. "repackaged" device that would not function. a new device was ordered for installation the following week
GAS returned with new device. Installer spent much of his time talking on his cell to someone about the electrical hookup. After most of he day had passed the installer abruptly left with no explanation. Jason called to say the installer was not confident about doing the electrical hookup and that another person (on another day) would come and do it.
2nd installer came and began installing to the existing duct work and run electrical.
After some hours the system was 'ready' to be tested. Installer startedthe A/C . Nothing came from the vents. I discovered the air was blowing out of the return vent. I asked if this was a polarity issue with the fan ..."Yeah something like that" said the installer.
More time passed and it was declared that the unit was ready again...I was asked if I noticed any difference about the units install (I didn't. not being a furnace pro) NOTE: later to realize that the unit was turned
180 and the back of the unit was facing outwards. A/C hoses exposed.
Tested the heating function next now that air was flowing through the normal vents.
Heat flowed through the vents. But, it also began overheating the
electrical line connected to the unit
Installer said he'd have to come back another day to re-do the wiring so as to "not burn your house down"
He did, unit operates, wiring does not overheat and we are using it now,
UPDATE: electrical on third try was installed with proper gauge
Barely heats house. May have to replace
We're obviously nit HVAC people and put trust in wrong company.
This was our experience with Green Approved Solutions.
Hi Brian,
we are sorry you feel that way. Although our goal is for every installion to go 100% smooth, there are some occasions where exterior factors come into the mix. Your install was including lots of custom factors to convert an oil to full electrical variable furnace and AC.
We had to run back to the manufacturer because they sent a scratched electric furnace that we didnt think was acceptable to install. Unfortunately due to the rarity of the furnace requested from the manufacturer this replacement was beyond our control. There was a wait period of almost a week! We are happy that everything is operating perfectly now and remember if there is anything you need our work is 24/7 guaranteed
Conclusion is, we replied to you within an hour to every email and took care of everything. We even sent a master electrician at no cost. Your unit is working fine now and thats what matters the most.
Great service and products at competitive prices. My go to guys for HVAC repairs/maintenance and home energy efficiency.

Hi Alex, thank you for the review and feedback. Our main goal when we do any installation is to keep the house as clean as it was before we started. Give us a call if there is anything else you need!
