I am writing this so other people won't get into the same situation as my husband and I did.
This company was referred by an electrician that we talked to. I had them over to give me an estimate and the estimate was reasonable, so I asked them to start working. We discussed our design and told him that we will purchase the vanity, toilet, shower stall and tiles and they can do the installation.
We gave him $1500.00 to purchase our shower stall which we never seen and another $1000.00 for the initial down payment. All he did for us was the incomplete bathroom floor and he was messy. I had to clean up after him each time he finished working.
He was not punctual as one of review mentioned and took him a couple months to get to the point that the floor tiles are almost complete.
We have been trying to get in touch with him via his cell and email but we never get any answer, please be aware of this company.
Excellent work!!! They where great to work with, very friendly, professional, and clean! They did a full bathroom renovation with travertine stone walls and tile my kitchen approx. 800 sqft. They surpassed my expectations. Will use them again and will recommend to others.
Had these guys over to do my basement floor. They created a huge mess and 2 months later I am still struggling to get the floor repaired by numerous flooring experts.
These guys are far from being the experts they claim to be and they are not professional. I know of other jobs they messed up and created a huge expense for other clients as well.
They are never on time and lie and cheat.
After they did the flooring and once they made sure they took the money by certifying my cheques behing my back, they told me to let the floor sit with the grout smear for 7 days. After that the grout smear got stuck to the floor that these guys had to come back 3 times. During this time they made things worse by putting a sealer on top of the tiles and sealing the dirt into the tiles leaving a sticky surface that most industrial cleaners would not remove. Further they damaged the grout lines and after they covered up with grout paint and smeard over the tiles again.
BEWARE OF THESE guys and DO NOT HIRE THEM.
To Rebuttal on the situation on the Stephan s floor. When we installed the floor everything went smoothly. When we grouted the suggestion was done by TiIlemasters, that impregnator was not needed to seal the tiles first. Once grouted the tiles were pitted with grout and was very difficult to remove. I talked to Tilemasters and they advised me that it will come off but that the but you would need to clean them individually. I cleaned them once after grouting 15 mins I waited and 45 mins after I washed them again. Once that was done the tiles were full of grout and I advised the clean not to wash the tiles that I was going to sulfuric acid and it needed to wait until 7 days for the grout to cure. THiS IS THE RECOMMENDATION FROM THE MANUFACTORE REP! Once we cleaned the tiles with acid came out cleaned and Stephan can admit to this this. Since we use acid the grout it got discolored and we use an enhancer to bring the color back, but the grout color did not come back. So we used Mapie color dye and once the grout came back the tiles absorb the color and became pitted again. I spoke to Tilesmasters the owner and manager and both did not want to take responsibility for their actions and the poor product that they sold. Stephan can admit that the first contract who installed the their tiles had the same problem. So what is the variable? Bad product that lay claims to easy clean up and poor tile products. Stephan came to Tilemasters and put mustard, wine, flour to see if the tile would stain and he had the proof that it cleaned off right away. Once you use Kessiel grout this happen. We certified the check cause we needed the funds, and there was going to be a hold for 7 days, we did not do this behind their back cause the bank advised that client needs to be contacted first in order to allow certification of the funds which we paid to get. If the case of other clients being ripped off, why would he approach us to tile, he even ask for a friends discount.
