I had some quotes from a few companies regarding a new deck. We decided to go with Hickory Dickory Decks with Peter and Trish. They’re truly a nice couple. We had a lot of communications and updates throughout the whole project. They did even have a contractor to move our gas line to a new location which other companies don’t offer to do. We are very pleased with our new deck.
Peter and Trish were really great to work with. I would recommend them to anyone!

Our family was in need of a new deck and sourced out 3 separate bids. We were totally impressed with the professionalism from HDD. This was from the point of initial review and scope of what we were looking to do and they provided expert suggestions on what should be required (both from a building code standpoint as well as fit) for our planned deck replacement. The team at HDD was outstanding and all material and labour was above our expectations. We are totally satisfied with HDD and glad we ended up going with this company for our new deck. Our house was built in 2002. We had a first generation composite deck over a cedar deck which was no longer usable. We hired Hickory Dickory Decks (HDD) to remedy the situation.
Peter, Trish and their team were awesome and very patient despite a busy summer season. They worked with us to generate several options for a new deck design, explained the various types of material options and provided colour renderings so we could better envision what it would look like. They then went to town removing 3200 pounds of old deck/hot tub material. Our new deck is gorgeous and was completed on time and within budget.
We also wanted some minor outdoor jobs done in conjunction with the deck reno (new lights, new speakers, door painting, a few new plants, retaining wall repair etc). HDD was willing to take on these extra jobs and didn’t’ stop until every one of them was complete. This is a testament to the willingness of this company to go over and above.
We would highly recommend HDD and Peter and Trish were fabulous to work with.

In addition, many of the materials we build with also offer a manufacture warranty of the deck boards. Manufacture warranties vary from manufacture to manufacture but can be as long as a lifetime warranty. We are happy to provide written information relating to your product of choice.
