Been using Hometurf complete program for the front and back lawn of our home for many years. They have been a reputable company for us: Planned and scheduled treatments take place throughout the summer at regular intervals. Stubborn weed control treatments are taken care of quickly and efficiently.

Last year, the front lawn for some reason completely died. My neighbour asked me what happened as it looked completely dead. Called Hometurf and they responded with a site visit to assess and repair as needed. The rep added a treatment of grass seed, recommended adding high quality top soil, which I did and to water regularly, which I did.

I have used Hometurf as my lawn care company for 15+ years. The package is the Deluxe program which includes fertilizing and weed control. Unlike the last lawn care company that used spraying application methods which resulted in the demise of several healthy globe and gold cedars due to wind tunnel effects, Home Turf uses fertilizer pellets. In addition to fertilizing and weed control application, they also spot treat weeds with a schedule that is most effective depending on the types of weeds. Customers need to understand the service needs to be supplemented by your own regular mowing, watering, as well as over-seeding and adding top soil when needed. Those are necessary tasks to keep a healthy lawn. No shortcut to it. Home Turf takes good care of fertilizing and weed control. It’s a team work! And in case there're odd situations that it rained after treatment (which washed away the application), I called Hometurf and they scheduled promptly an extra treatment free of charge. My lawn is thick and draws admiration from my neighbours. Hometurf deserves 10 out of 10!

I have been a customer of Hometurf Lawn Care Service for several years now and have been very pleased with the services provided. Hometurf provides reliable and effective service to my property.

We have used this service for a few years. We have had adequate service. However, no one told us we would not get manual aeration this year. There was a very minimal amount of fertilizer spread on lawn. Had to search lawn to see some particles. We also had a lot more weeds this year. We did get a second visit for weed control but it didn't make much of a difference. Customer service said we could not expect to have good weed control with regional bylaws.

After trying 2 other providers, we've stuck with Home Turf for the past several years. They offer a comprehensive service at a very competitive rate for their seasonal packages and add-ons. Don't expect white glove service for the core packages, or not have to put the work in to keep your lawn in shape, but they deliver on the treatments that are more difficult for the average homeowner to do themselves. In the past year more of our close neighbours have switched to Home Turf so they must like the results we have achieved.

I am very happy to write a review for Hometurf Lawn Care. We have been with them for several years now. They provide a consistent service for our corner property and always address concerns when we call. For example, we were concerned that our lawn had not been fertilized properly, i.e. too much in some areas, not enough in other. They immediately sent someone to view and correct the problem. If you are looking for a service provider for lawn care I would say go with Hometurf, their prices are reasonable and they do what they say!

I am very satisfied with company. Our grass is doing good despite dry summer. Each year I see an improvement. I will continue with Hometurf Lawn Care and would recommend this company.

I have only used Hometurf for one year, my lawn was looking pretty bad and I needed help getting it back to healthy status. I found Hometurf to be so easy to deal with, I was able to submit an online request for a quote. They email me the day before they come out so I can make sure my dogs are inside, and they leave an informative report following each treatment. My lawn is looking much better after one season, and I am continuing with them for 2021.

Great company to work with. I had a sudden Chinch bug problem and contacted Hometurf. They sent someone out the next day, treated and seeded the affected area and brought my lawn back to life.

Great company to deal with, been with them for several years, this year with Covid-19 things were delayed at the start but once they were back they continued their excellent service, if I ever needed them to come back and spray for weeds after treatment they gladly showed up and looked after them, will be using them again next year for sure.

My lawn is an absolute mess with weeds and I was told no company can get rid of these weeds. So if my lawn is a mess and no one can get rid of the weeds I have, what is the point of paying for a service? If anyone knows of a company that can get rid of weeds that supposedly no one can get rid of, please let me know. Hometurf replied to this post to say you can get rid of the weeds. I am talking about you guys so I don't understand.

They do a great job and offer lots of services - love that they provide a detailed listing of what they have done and how my lawn is preforming. Would definitely recommend them.

I have been with Hometurf for years and was very satisfied. 1-2 months ago however I happen to be reviewing my cameras for something when I noticed the technician arrived to do specific lawn service. Except he didn't do it. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and called the company to let them know he must have "forgotten". They told me they would send someone back, which they did, except they never reminded me the day before so the gate was locked and they were unable to get in. Did they message to let me know? Not at all. I let it go as I did not have time to call. Yesterday they came to do the next scheduled services except again, they leave me notification that x has been completed yet I watched over my camera and it was NOT done. I call to complain and this time I am upset as they are clearly not doing the work they are supposed to do. It was not simply "forgotten". The first person I spoke to was empathetic and understanding and listened well. He was great. Explained there was communication in office that confirmed it was not done. Why did my notification on my door say it was? How would I know? Why not contact me? I asked to be forwarded to a manager. He then passed me to his manager "Desiree" and she was horrible. Cut me off every time I spoke. Made all kinds of excuses for the technician saying I had a dog and he was outside. I explained - I work from home, my dog was not outside when they arrived and when he was outside much later in the day I was with him the whole time. We notified this company we had a dog years ago. One time he was outside when they came and he ran out. Yet she tried to tell me they never knew we had a dog. She told me they do not notify us at the door if service was not done yet in the past when the gate was locked they did. Why the sudden change? Different rules for different technicians? I doubt it. Either way, this person does not know how to deal with upset customers. I have spoken to this person several times in the past and she is very pleasant to deal with if you are happy. But if you are upset she does not know how to listen or empathize at all. But this is not the worse part. She could have just had a bad day - or perhaps I triggered her with my tone and attitude since I was so upset. But not providing the service you paid for and then not being truthful about it is awful. I have the physical proof which I will be sending to them. Makes me wonder about all the service they say they provided in the past. Will never recommend them to anyone. And be warned if you use them - watch your cameras and make sure they do the work because if you let them - they will do a horrible job if they do it at all. I wonder if this is because I notified them that I would be cancelling at the end of this season due to us moving? Either way - bad service!

It's hard to tell whether the lawn treatments are working (time will tell) so I have no reason to believe it isn't good quality, but I wish they would do a better job about communicating when they will be coming and what they are doing that day.

New Customer in 2019, transferred from another supplier, Great Service with Friendly, knowledgeable Specialists. Today, they did liquid aeration rather than mechanical aeration due to Covid-19 which will be done in the fall, without adding to my annual cost.

Horrible service!!! First time I used this company, I signed up for the seasonal weed control. I had two applications of fertilizer and one Fiesta weed control application. The Fiesta Weed application left a brown line around my lawn not to mention the weeds did not die!!! MORE weeds actually surfaced the next day!!!

The brown line burnt my lawn and turned it to straw. I called to cancel the service. The manager would not give me a refund. I had to pay for what was done AND a cancellation fee!!! Can you believe this!!! The manager said it would take two weeks for the brown line to go away, I tried to tell her that the brown line has now burnt my lawn and turned it to straw.

The manager didn’t seem to care!!!

Have been enrolled in their "Complete Program" lawn care service for 3 years now and am happy with their service and resprays when necessary. The only concern I have is that even with the overseeding application in the spring, there are still areas that have little or no grass, which are susceptible to weed growth.

My lawn was brown and full of weeds, but I kept resisting the promotional material from all the lawn care companies. Meanwhile my own efforts at weed control and fertilization made the lawn even worse. In the end I called Hometurf and signed up for the new season, hoping, but maybe not really believing, they could make a difference. Well, I was pleased to find that they did. By the end of the season my lawn was significantly thicker, greener and with far fewer weeds. I liked the quick response and great customer service, too.

We have been using this company for last 8-9 years, after I moved to this house. When we moved in the lawns were in terrible shape, more weed than grass but now it is all grass. What is important, if weed grows in some localized spots and if we report them, they come additional times, at no extra cost and treat them. I must say their customer service rep is also very professional and accommodating, As of March 2020, I will definitely recommend them.

I first got the service last year. The price was good, the customer service was good and it helped control the weeds in my yard. It still requires time and effort on my part, but that was what I was expecting.

The only thing I wasn't happy with was I signed up for the complete package which included aeration and overseeding and they did the overseeding in the middle of July. It was too hot and none of the seed really took. This year I'm going with the deluxe package.

We had been using Hometurf for over 20 years. They are professional, reliable and responsive to customer. Highly recommended.

We signed up for the Hometurf Complete Program last year and were quite pleased with the results. By the end of the growing season last year our lawn looked noticeably healthier and fuller. Living near a greenspace, we did have quite a lot of weeds in our lawn. The amount of weeds was quite reduced by the end of the summer, and we’ve renewed our program again this year with a hope of further improving our lawn.

Hometurf showed up last year in the spring to aerate, and then applied lawn treatments regularly throughout the year. At each visit they left a ‘lawn health report’ and note of what treatment was applied, which was helpful. Our Complete Program included overseeding, and we really noticed the difference in terms of lawn thickness.

Overall, I’d recommend Hometurf without reservation to anyone looking for a lawn program in the Southern Ontario area.

They’ve helped me bring my lawn back to life with a few extras and I appreciate that commitment which I feel comes because it’s a family business.
