Although Dave MacKinnon has been in the construction industry for nearly three decades, his Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) business was influenced by his family s love for hot sauce. Yes, hot sauce.

For the boys of the MacKinnon household, hot sauce is an obsession, a rite of passage. (Hey pal, don t even think about calling it a condiment.) Empty bottles of hot sauce decorate the family s kitchen a trophy case demonstrating their spicy feats.

But the boys eventually grew dissatisfied with the lack of flavor found in most hot sauces. So the MacKinnon s spent their weekends together in the kitchen whipping up batches of their own concoction. Years went by before crafting the perfect recipe: a habit forming combination of heat and flavor. Together, the family began bottling their hot sauce and selling it under the Hot Sauce Boys name.

Immediately recognizing that hot sauce was a family bond, the MacKinnon s renamed the family HVAC business (formerly Plaid Heating & Air) to mirror their beloved hot sauce. Thus, Hot Sauce Heating & Air was officially born.

As an authorized dealer of Reliance, we handle all of the heavy lifting when you rent your furnace or air conditioner: removal, installation, exstallation, free lifetime service, maintenance and even replacement. The only thing we don t touch is the billing. We let the bean counters at Reliance handle that for us.
