Joe Ayoub is a hardened crook in Ottawa posing as a home renovator, handy man etc. He just wants to swindle you of your money. Do not, I repeat do not give him any money as he will try to expand your scope of work and then not complete any task professionally.

I have just been duped by this guy and would like to warn all other home owners of this rascal. I must add that he will try to be rude and bully you for money. Don't fall for it as I did.

Joe Ayoub was the owner of this company that apparently has gone bankrupt. He failed to complete work for which he received full compensation and failed to make repairs to lacking workmanship and honour promised warranties. Work was done in 2012 but 3 years later it's been an ongoing saga of redoing all the bad work or not completed work he did, e.g. entire chimney (his bad work caused water leaks inside chimney into living room) Other bad work he did: vent cap intended for bathroom was installed in the wrong area; roof fascia had insufficient nails during re-installation of fascia panel (one panel came off shortly after he apparently finished and ran with our money); eavesthrough not correct length. No point getting estimates from Joe Ayoub, as every other day he was banging on our door asking for more money. he even received extra money to redo the chimney and ran with it. After many attempts to deal with him directly, we filed a complaint with BBB. At this point he threatened us.

Hired the company to repair some plumbing. Less than 2 years later the ceiling caved in. Water damage and an improper repair. Called Joe Ayoub to repair damage under the warrantee. Joe showed up at my home, told me he changed the company name to SOS Roofing so he could include roofing in his business. He cut a hole in the ceiling and then asked for $100 cash before he fixed anything. When I told him it was a warrantee issue he said In Line went bankrupt so any warrantees were void and if I wanted a repair I would have to pay again. Found out he doesn't own SOS as he claims and is just a sub contractor for that company. I asked for his insurance company and he refused. Don't hire this guy, he told me he went through 95 employees last year, should have been a red flag.

It was a nightmare dealing with this company. Once the project start, Joe the owner constantly ask for more money. He will agree to anything to get your check. 4 weeks project trun into 9 weeks and still unfinished. I have to hire somebody else to finish the project. On top of it, this company hires mostly kids to do the work. And use any excuse to not pay them. Anybody works for this company and didn't get paid or got scammed by them should leave note on the web to warn others. Can't let this company get away with it.

While very satisfied with the work that was completed by this contractor, I found his professionalism to be sub-par. I was asked daily for advances on the payment agreed on for the completion of the project. The work that was to be completed in 1.5 weeks extended beyond one month and was left unfinished due to cold weather. The workers simply did not show up 3 out of 5 days each week, without notice, despite assurances that they would be here. I am confident that the work that was completed was done well and for good value, however I am left with several unfinished items, and a pile of frozen gravel in the driveway for the winter.
